Description

Vantage was established in 2007 and is Thailand’s highest rated TEFL program.

They offer a 120-hour, in-class TEFL course with 6 hours of observed teaching practice in Thai schools.

They also offer Virtual Vantage– designed for training in an era of social distancing. This program combines online coursebook study with live streamed observed teaching practices in online classes. It’s a full TEFL course with a practicum done from the safely of your home.

Vantage provides expert job support. They’ll craft your own Power Resume that make an impact in the six seconds hiring authorities typically spend reading them. They’ll coach you on interviewing techniques, handling objections, and job search strategies.

Great teaching course and teacher!

I completed the vantage TEFL course October-November 2024 and I had a great experience with Vantage TEFL! The course was well-structured and provided everything I needed to feel confident as a teacher.

The instructors were knowledgeable, supportive, and made the course enjoyable. They offered feedback and practical guidance, which made learning engaging and effective. As a native English speaker the course challenged me and helped me understand my own language.

I highly recommend it to anyone looking to start or advance their teaching journey!

I recently completed the 120-hour TEFL course with Vantage TEFL Certification, and I must say it was an outstanding experience. The trainers were highly knowledgeable and supportive, providing a nurturing environment where every participant felt valued and encouraged throughout the program.

As someone who has taken similar courses in the past, I was impressed by how up-to-date and relevant the course content was. I read Vantage’s TEFL course in Sept-Oct.

The course included all areas that I had hoped for and more, and the trainers were great!

A truly great part of this course is the 6-hours on location teaching practice which I think was the best part. It allows you a chance to experience (in a slightly limited way) the real life situation you could be in.

I have no complaints and I heartily recommend this course to anyone who is interested in getting their TEFL-certification.

I completed my TEFL certification at Vantage in Sep-Oct 2024. I have no complaints – the course, trainers, materials, assistance and more met all my expectations. If you are planning on taking a TEFL course this is the place to do it. 🙂

Vantage has the particular benefit of having workshops on Thai culture, language, resume writing and interviewing. All in all, the course covers all bases and the trainers are more than welcoming.

I give my full hearted recommendation.

One of my friends recommended the Vantage TEFL  course to me when I came to Thailand in search of a teaching job. I am so glad that I took her words and attended the course… it’s awesome .

I really love all six practice teachings in a foundation and a primary school. It really boosted my  confidence to teach any class since I learned to formulate effective lesson plans and execute them well.

In addition, I am grateful for the guidance in creating “Power Resume” which has helped me stand out and I am getting several job interviews.  

All the teachers Chris, Kevin and Ryan are very resourceful, benevolent !!

I really enjoyed the course, had a lot of fun and simultaneously attained knowledge and experiences.

If you are here in Bangkok to take your teaching career to the next level, then I would say Vantage TEFL Thailand is the place!

Just want to thank the guys at Vantage for a throughly enjoyable 4 weeks,

1. Course content is strong and put out in a way that makes elements of teaching link together at separate times.

2. Practice teaching was varied and looks good on the CV.

3. Feedback is positive constructive and fair

4. Lesson plans are taught and then put into practice.

5. The lead trainer Chris is a witty and effective teacher and is undoubtly the best part of the course.

6. I finished the TEFL on the Friday and had secured employment the following Tuesday. The workshops on employment are useful.

7. The facilities are functional. The resources are bountiful.

Overall an incredibly supportive and interesting 4 weeks.

I just finished the in-class course in Bangkok today, and I must say that Vantage is a *FIVE STAR* school. If you’re looking to get your TEFL certification and work abroad—especially in Bangkok—this is the place for you!

The real superstars of the organization were Chris, Kevin, and Adam. I learned so much from these incredible individuals, and I know you will too!

Chris was the main educator for the majority of my lessons, and wow—what a brilliant man! His knowledge of English is simply exquisite. Chris’ lessons were never boring. In fact, they were fun, interesting, and incredibly straightforward. And can we talk about his witty banter? You’ll love it as much as I did! He has a way of making learning both entertaining and enlightening with real-life examples that pique your interest and, honestly, leave you giggling.

Despite the class running from 9:30 a.m. to around 3 or 4 p.m., the well-timed breaks and lunches made sure the days never felt long or dull.

The course itself was extremely thorough. We learned how to create fail-proof lesson plans that ensure smooth, productive classes. Plus, we had multiple opportunities to teach various age groups. The school placements were a fantastic experience—the students were lovely, and the teaching practice helped boost my confidence, gave me invaluable experience, and allowed me to interact with the locals in Bangkok.

On the professional side, I was offered a job and secured a placement even before the course ended! The course director, Kevin, played a huge role in helping me with that. His résumé and interview prep lessons were spot on—he really nailed what employers are looking for in applicants. I especially appreciated the sales and marketing aspect he incorporated into the course. Now I know how to stand out from other teachers in the job market.

One amazing perk is that even after you finish the course, Kevin is still available to help you find a job.

I researched a lot of TEFL programs, and I’m so glad I chose this one. I feel fully prepared to start working in just a few weeks. Thank you, Vantage team!

Vantage TEFL Siam provided an awesome 4-week TEFL certification course! I’m so happy that I completed the course in person because I was able to ask questions and receive feedback throughout my TEFL journey. As a native English speaker, I was challenged in this course (I had forgotten a lot of the grammar), but teacher Chris provided helpful feedback and instruction throughout. Kevin was an excellent resource for designing a powerful resume and connecting to my teaching path here in Bangkok. My favorite part of the course was the “Teaching Practice.” Not only was it fun, but I also learned the most about how I taught and the areas where I needed to improve. If you are contemplating whether or not to complete this course, I highly recommend it!

As an Artist and Filmmaker, I have been all over the world, I have a lot of experience in my field worldwide. And I wanted to have the knowledge and experience to teach or teach properly. When I saw an opportunity with The Vantage, I jumped at it.

Because I wanted to get a certificate so that I could teach English properly. But when I started the course I realized that it was not just about getting a certificate, it was about how I could teach. The teaching methodology was very effective and gave me real confidence in being able to work with students. Now I feel like I can teach.

Our main and full time teacher Chris and Kevin and Ryan are great teachers. Many years of experience and trust have made me a good student and maybe a good teacher, which I will soon find out. We also had a lot of fun during the teaching sessions, it was never boring. The most important thing was that the lessons were very productive, 60% practical lessons.

If you are looking for a teaching opportunity in Thailand specifically, I highly recommend getting your TESOL certification at Vantage-Bangkok. I have learned so much from them. And if you are looking for a teaching career specifically, this is it.
