I was a bit unsure of myself going into the course and starting something very new to me. But just meeting the staff and students from the previous course, all my worries went away. By the end of the course all the things I wanted to learn, as well as what I expected of myself had been met and exceeded in many more ways.

The course itself is so fun and enjoyable. But at the same time it will be intense and laid back at the same time (seems contradictory, but you’ll get it when you do it!). Each day is different and interesting, it will keep you hooked and wanting to show up every morning. You wont even realize how much you are learning as the course is so enjoyable.

I have no doubt that my money was well spent going to Vantage TEFL! I wish I could do it again!

You will not be disappointed, all around a good experience, very informative and I feel fully prepared to start my new career as a teacher.

I completed my TEFL course with Vantage this month and I absolutely loved the whole experience! Kevin, Chris and Ryan are really know what they are talking about when they are teaching the course. You cover literally everything that you would ever need to know. They are so friendly and approachable, and most importantly, patient! They are more than happy to assist you in any way they possibly can. I fell ill whilst on the course and the guys supported me the whole way through.

If you are looking to become an English teacher or to do a TEFL course, I could not recommend Vantage enough. I absolutely loved my time on the course, learning how to plan lessons and building confidence!

Here’s the deal…Thailand has countless luxuries you can only dream about unless you pack your bags and move. Nevertheless, whether you are a seasoned traveler or at a stage in your life when a Yolo-Hail-Mary-sell-everything-and-move seems reasonable, it is handy to have at least some certainties lined up for you before heading to the other side of the world.

“This is Thailand.” – That will make more sense when you get here, but in short, your life in the west cannot prepare you for the “way things work” in the Land of Smiles. Teaching experience is valuable, but teaching here is a whole new beast.

Want a TEFL? Cool, you will need that. I hear you can get one of those dandy thingies just about anywhere. However, you will not be able to teach a damn thing if you got it from a book or someone who has not been in Thailand post-Covid.

Any reputable TEFL course will give you the guidelines of teaching practices, review formal English, how to make a lesson plan, structure your activities, and a general overview of what will be asked out of you upon signing on the dotted line of a contract…and if that’s all you feel you need, go for it.

Getting employed in Thailand with a general online TEFL would be like copying homework for a class you skipped only to arrive to a pop quiz.

Chris (the slick, Brit instructor of this glorious ensemble), will prepare you to teach in Thailand. This is far more than a TEFL course. It is a crash course on the realities of this country. With his guidance, Ryan’s cliff notes on Thai culture, and the practicum with real Thai students, you will at least feel like you are in the driver’s seat when heading to a real school – Especially, if the school gives you basically no resources to teach and you have to build it all on your own (even though they promised you the world before you started)…guess how I know that…and how common that is. Glassdoor is not very helpful here.

If you want a TEFL for the sake of getting one, then write a check and get one. If you want to get to TEFL to teach in Thailand, you have come to the right place.

Cheers!

PS – If you are concerned about HOW to move to Thailand (or start a new path for those already here), Kevin is a great resource for assisting in your transition. Good luck!

I thoroughly enjoyed my TEFL training at Vantage. The team were helpful, friendly and efficient during my enrolment process and were happy to answer all of my questions. Chris, our main trainer delivered the course proficiently in an easy to understand manner, helping us to cope the intense nature of content. He had a great sense of humour and made us all feel very comfortable and entertained throughout. The employment assistance was extremely helpful and made a big difference to our job hunt afterwards. I have nothing bad to say about my training at Vantage, I would highly recommend it to anyone!

The course went above and beyond what I expected. Firstly, the course instructor Chris is a great guy who makes the course extremely interesting even when talking about some dull topics e.g the tenses. He keeps it lively and fun. The area the course is in is also a great area with lots of street food for lunch etc. The course is fairly intensive but if you keep on top of the work then it’s quite easy.

I thoroughly enjoyed the practicum, although I got nervous, Chris reassures you and makes you feel more confident. The practicum is a vital to experience as it gets you prepared for real-life teaching and builds your knowledge and confidence. Kevin is also great with the job and career side and is thoroguh when discussing resumes and the technique to get an employer interested in you.

I would defimtley reccomend vantage for your TEFL coure, was an amazing experience. Thank you everyone.

The package itself is advertised as an intensive four-week course. I highly recommend it to students who are willing to work hard and are eager to learn.

My expectations were consistently exceeded throughout the course in the best ways possible.

I cannot say enough about the instructors and staff. Their competence, kindness, and professionalism goes a long way when one is serious about succeeding in teaching English.

I would also recommend it to both non-native and native speakers alike. The grammar lessons by Chris were superb. As a native speaker from the USA my ability to speak English must have improved simply by listening to him instruct. You will also receive excellent lessons in grammar and important requisites concerning the craft of teaching.

There’s a lot to learn from the way Chris manages and instructs class time. He is patient and extremely knowledgeable.

My overall expression is five stars all the way.

Even though I found this course mostly by luck I could not be happier with taking it.

In 4 intense weeks we were taught the basics of being English teachers.

Chris is a great instructor who knows how to make even monotone grammar lessons enjoyable. And the real focus was on the practical lessons starting at the end of week 2. After learning about the ESA teaching method and discussing how to prepare for real lessons we taught a total of 6 English lessons to Thai nurses in training. Afterwards we would discuss what went well and what could be improved on. This is a great way to get real experience and accustomed to teaching.

But this course also provides help with resumes and can support you in finding a job after finishing the course. A huge help for foreigners who may have trouble finding a workplace. As well as Thai culture lessons to help avoid mishaps in and around the classroom later on.

All in all I am absolutely satisfied and would recommend this course to anyone thinking about teaching in Thailand. Also do not forget that this course is very intensive so do take your time and do not have any other big projects while finishing the course.

I chose Vantage based on the reviews and because they were one of the few schools offering in-person classes during this time and I wasn’t disappointed.

I wasn’t sure teaching would be a good career option because I already hold a degree in a different field and I thought I might not be good at classroom management but after the course, which was fun, educational and which inspired my creativity, I am sure I’ll have a great time teaching in the future.

As a non-native English speaker I feel prepared and more confident to be a teacher after finishing this 120-hour course.

I was motivated by the lead trainer and the owner of the school who are always ready to help and offer prolonged assistance, so I can’t recommend this school enough.

I was looking for a TEFL course provider. There were indeed many to choose from, but it was pretty easy to shortlist. Vantage had a course starting Monday at 9 am, and I found myself in the classroom, beginning a one-month In-Class course to train for my TEFL certification.

The course was quite interesting. We spent part of the course reviewing verb forms, nouns, adverbs, and extending our knowledge of English. However, we were also introduced to the ESA teaching methodology and we learned how to craft a professional lesson plan. The tutorials were always engaging; our trainer, Chris, would talk about each language point animatedly.

During week three, we started our demo lessons. The tutorials continued apace, but now we had to watch others delivering lessons and put together our lesson plans and give them. I got excellent feedback after every practice class. The course was also heavy on reflection, and I spent many evenings recording my thoughts on the activities throughout the day.

There were four tests, each with a passing grade of 75%, the portfolio I was writing in the evenings, and six observed teaching practice classes.

I highly recommend Vantage’s TEFL program to anyone looking for an advantage in learning how to be a successful teacher.

Throughout my TEFL course with Vantage, I have been taught how to be a Very good teacher. The course provides me with very useful strategies and tools to implement when teaching. The good thing is that the trainers of the course offer real-life teaching practices where I implement everything I learn. So, if you are interested in becoming a professional teacher, Vantage TEFL Certification is the right course for you. I would highly recommend Vantage.
