AVSE-TESOL offers an internationally recognised TESOL/TEFL training programme in 3 of the world’s must visit cities: Hanoi & Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam and Phnom Penh in Cambodia. If you’re thinking about studying TESOL, definitely do it through AVSE. I completed the in person course in Ho Chi Minh City.

The instructor was great, and I learnt so many practical skills that I will use as a teacher. Teaching classes to real students was the highlight of the course and an amazing way to learn and receive feedback.

I can’t thank AVSE enough and can’t wait to start my career as a teacher

Highly professional

I had the opportunity to work through a complex, business-related transaction with the AVSE-TESOL Management team. I wanted to publicly record that Peter Goudge and Linh Tran were great to work with, always exhibiting honesty, trustworthiness and diligence. From my observations, AVSE-TESOL is in safe hands.

This program is horrible. The teacher was a condescending bully. The work is just Google-ing lots of warm up activities. Don’t waste your time and money. Everything about the program was sub par.

I completed the AVSE TESOL program online and then traveled to Cambodia for the in-person practicals. The program provided a solid foundation in ESL teaching methodologies, and my experience during the practical sessions was invaluable. Not only did I gain hands-on teaching experience, but I also learned effective classroom management techniques, lesson planning skills, and the ability to engage students of different ages and proficiency levels.

Now that I’m working as an ESL teacher in Cambodia, I can see the impact of the AVSE training every day. The program gave me the confidence to step into a classroom and succeed from day one, and it equipped me with practical tools to create engaging and effective lessons for my students. I highly recommend AVSE for anyone looking to build a career in ESL teaching—it’s truly a pathway to feeling prepared and confident in the classroom.

AVSE-TESOL is an excellent place to learn!

I had a wonderful learning experience during my time at AVSE-TESOL. The course trainers and staffs were incredibly supportive and friendly, making the learning environment both encouraging and welcoming. The content of the course was comprehensive, offering in-depth methods for teaching English to learners of various levels. The best aspects of the course was the hands-on classroom experience in the form of classroom observations, teaching practicums and lesson plannings of different learning materials, which truly prepared me for real-world teaching scenarios.

I was fortunate that I was guided by fantastic instructors like David and Peter, who brought a wealth of knowledgeable, and years of experience teaching both online and in classrooms across Vietnam and Cambodia. They were both patient and attentive mentors as they answered all of my questions and took the time to ensure I understood the materials, which were invaluable to my learning process. Miss Jing was also incredibly helpful throughout, assisting with various classroom activities and tasks.

Overall, I would highly recommend AVSE-TESOL to anyone who is interested in pursuing TESOL certification abroad. It’s a great community to be a part of and an excellent place for personal and professional growth as an educator. As a newbie to this field, my confidence has brimmed immensely since I first started the course.

AVSE is an excellent company offering a great service. I attended the four week course in March and I found it to be incredibly informative and beneficial.

Peter has always been extremely helpful answering any questions and the inevitable addressing concerns that accompany attending an in-country course. Our class’s instructor David, was thorough and professional, drawing from a deep well of teaching experience.

I anyone is considering traveling to take an immersive ESL course, I would highly recommend AVSE.

My experience at AVSE-TESOL was just amazing. Firstly Peter the owner and director of AVSE-TESOL, fully explained everything to me prior to the course so that I felt comfortable signing up.

The course itself in Cambodia, Phnom Phen was very rewarding and interesting. It taught me hands on skills to enter the job market as an English teacher. The facilities are modern and the lecturers really want to help you and get you a job.

The course has a simple layout that you can follow as well as real life experiences teaching in schools by week two. You definitely go from “zero to hero” really fast and the feeling you get teaching children and adults (even monks) is just unbelievable.

Anyone who wants to be an English teacher abroad in Asia I could not highly recommend enough AVSE-TESOL enough. Simply the best!

Hello, My lines will focus on the course content rather than my ventures. Initially, I found the online course confusing due to the lack of specific explanations in the written materials. However, the prompt replies from the teacher were constructive. When I transitioned to in-class training in Phnom Penh, I found the detailed explanations from the teacher and the practical activities immensely beneficial for better acquaintance.

I want to express my gratitude to Sir Peter for the invitation, which allowed me to encounter noteworthy experiences, and to Sir David for his patience, mentorship, and guidance. His advice not only helped me adapt to the challenges in Cambodia but also motivated me to be flexible, enabling me to excel as an ESL teacher and deliver high-quality education to my students.

Also to acknowledge the extraordinary Miss Jing the AVSE team member, who is not only willing to help you because it’s her job, but also to be your local guide and advisor whenever you need her. I had some reservations prior to making up my mind about teaching ESL in Vietnam. I wasn’t really sure if it was a good decision. However, when I discussed with the management of AVSE; I put forward such concerns and they were able to allay my fears.

True to their words, the training turned out as an amazing and enlightening experience. We had both theoretical and practical classes. Our instructor, Mr. Mick was great in class and was always willing to assist students in handling difficult tasks. Above all, they also ensured I got a good teaching job after my training.

AVSE is no doubt a premium TESOL institute and unarguably one of the best in Vietnam.
