When I first started looking at doing a TEFL course I spent many hours looking at various courses and each seemed to offer pretty much the same thing. I then saw some really positive reviews about Vantage and their TEFL Certification so spent time going through their comprehensive website and links on U-tube in which Kevin gave some very useful information.

I had no previous teaching experience so was a bit apprehensive on day one of the course but once I had met Chris and Kevin, it became apparent that they were there to help me on my way to be a teacher – this happened fairly quickly as we were soon doing our 1st practicum at the nurses college. I had no need to fear anything as Chris had taught us how to create a lesson plan. It was not just the lesson plans – Chris is a fantastic tutor and role model. His lessons, although quite intensive, are well presented and informative.

Unfortunately, our time in the class room was cut short due to Covid-19 so alternative plans were made and through Vantages professionalism we still managed to complete this fantastic course.

I, along with the others in my group, can definitely bear witness to the support and encouragement Vantage provided us throughout. Yes – 5 stars without hesitation!!

I had originally signed up for the combined course which due to unforeseen circumstances I could not complete in the allocated time. I emailed the course director, Kevin, to ask if I could attend the in-class course which began at a later date. I was delighted to be accepted on this course. Kevin also answered any questions I had about the course.

The trainer for the course, Chris, was knowledgable and made the class enjoyable. We were a small group of trainees which made for a nice atmosphere.

The practice lessons were at a local military school and a nursing college. The military school was quite challenging for our first lessons due to the age of the students (5-6 years) and the class size (over 30) but there is something to be said about being thrown in at the deep end as the rest of the lessons seemed easier in comparison.

Kevin also helped with resume writing, interview and job hunting tips.

Overall it was a great learning experience and a challenging one. I can go out into the teaching world confident in my abilities.

At first, i wasn’t sure enough that i could be a teacher, because i didn’t have any teaching experience, my confidence were bad and nervousness were also making me uncomfortable, but then when i took the risk on enrolling with Tefl course at Vantage, i’ve learned a lot with English academic, my confidence were boosting up and eliminated my nervousness.

Vantage trainers were very accommodating, they will really help you in regards with english structures, lesson planning, teaching techniques, teaching practices which is very essential for a beginner, they will also help build your resume and cover letter which is a very big help on getting an interview. The result was very overwhelming, satisfied enough to teach, and ready to go on with my teaching career. Thanks Vantage! ❤️ Big Thumbs Up 👍🏼

I was surfing through many TEFL school websites and found few schools around bangkok. Read their reviews and it felt like going into vantage would be the best choice for me. Although, it took longer for me to choose, vantage has far met my expectations.

The school provided with useful foundations about teaching techniques and classroom management which helped me throughout my teaching practice and moreover eliminated my nervousness in regards to facing a bunch of students.

Overall, I had a good and enjoyable experience.

Vantage TEFL Certification Course + The instructors at this location + the friendly staff = The recipe for success as a teacher in a foreign country.

Before this program I’ve taught privately for 6 months. Now that I’ve completed this program, not only have my classes improved, but also my private students are receiving top marks in their English classes for both grammar and speaking/conversation.

This course has introduced the ESA method, Engage Study Activate. The ESA method provides a strong guidance for a great lesson. The instructors for this course taught the ESA method so that each student understands it and also so that they get an opportunity to practice in a live setting. The live setting provided was to teach 6 individual classes to classrooms ranging from 12 students to 36 students of the ages 5-24 years old. This was a wake up call to many but the experience needed to enlighten future teachers to the real world of teaching.

This course was fun and professionally organized to fit every future teacher’s personal goals and expectations.

During this course whenever there was a moment of being unsure or confusion, the Instructors would step up and clarify everything. Any time for any question you had, Answers and information would be provided.

There is no other course that I would recommend above this one.

Owing to my work commitments, I decided to take up Vantage’s Combined Course for the flexibility it afforded me.

I was able to finish the very well organized online portion at my own convenience but more importantly, I was able to choose which month I did my observed practice.

After a novel experience engaging a classroom of 30+ kids in a public school, I did most of my teaching practice in a university setting. I learned how to formulate successful lesson plans – with a different language topic for each of our six sessions. The hands-on experience in real schools was really rewarding and I really benefited from the detailed feedback after each session.

The trainers were very supportive throughout are clearly very experienced and professional, and it was great to watch their real demo lessons in classroom settings.

It was a great experience overall and I have already recommended the course to others.

Before I started my tefl journey, I did a lot of research on which would be the best 120 hour in class program to take in Bangkok, Thailand.

I would highly recommend taking this course, if you want to actually learn something. I can only comment about Chris as the instructor. He WAS and IS absolutely invaluable. (Yeah yeah I used a double verb ‘be.’ can you do that? So is that a past present perfect tense??? Haha jk)

I have just completed the Vantage TEFL course in Bangkok, Thailand

Too be honest, I was a little sceptical in the beginning as to whether the course would be stimulating or interesting enough to hold my attention for 120 hours because if it was boring, it could have been a torturous experience.

I am happy and relieved to say that the course super exceeded my expectations in all areas!

Chris our trainer was an extremely experienced and qualified trainer. He gave us so many tips from his experience that you would not get on the online course

He also covered quite a lot of grammar which was done in such a logical and simplified way that made it much easier to understand.

The ESA method …Engage, Study, Activate method of teaching was something new for me although I very much like this concept of teaching. I find this method works very well in theory and in practice…..it is basically a common-sense way of teaching a foreign language to non-native speakers.

I am confident that I will be able to translate all of the information learnt to my future students using the ESA method of teaching.

We also learnt how to put a lesson plan together which we also used on our x6 teaching practicums. In the future this will be a very helpful tool to have and being something that is required by the education system when teaching at schools, it was an essential thing to learn,

The constructive criticism, support and encouragement that the group received during the course has been fantastic and to leave knowing that that support continues is a wonderful safety net.

All in all, the course and the trainers at Vantage delivered a professional, world class TEFL course.

I have look at several websites to see where I could take my in-class training and come across Vantage because of the multiple reviews.

Before coming to Vantage, I sent many e-mails to Kevin about my concerns and doubts about finding a job immediately in my field (hospitality and/or corporate) and he’s been really helpful to reassure me. He gave me proper guidance on my resume and succeeding in an interview.

I also had concerns if it would be worth it to take it in class or online. After two days spent with Chris, the headteacher, I immediately felt that I have chosen the perfect place to invest my time and money. He is really knowledgeable and he almost makes grammar fun! All the techniques and tricks shared by the school staff is something that has no price tag on it. What is even greater? I can transfer the knowledge that I gain during the course into my future career goals in hospitality!

Being able to train with real students, kids and young adults is a big strength of Vantage. I was happy to have constructive criticism after each class so that I could improve and gain confidence.

That was one of the greatest choices I made for myself for a long time!

I used Vantage for the classroom portion of my combined TEFL certification course. The program exceeded my expectations. The practice teaching opportunities were with actual student groups and quite challenging. The instructors were engaged throughout the process, helping me on the front end through review and suggestions for lesson plan preparation, and on the backend through detailed critiques of my teaching. I learned a lot during the two weeks and feel much better prepared now to start my teaching career. I highly recommend the Vantage programs to others wishing to obtain TEFL certification.
