This course took me around two and a half months to complete. I started this course during Covid-19 lockdown and for the last month and a half I was working full-time whilst studying. I found the course to be very useful and comprehensive. The feedback for assignments was always helpful and timely. In my opinion, the assignments were pretty difficult and stressful at times. Unlike other reviews which I have read, I definitely did not find the assignments “fun”. This may be because I did not have any teaching experience prior to taking this course. However, the assignments were very useful in seeing what kind of work is involved with being a teacher and there was a great sense of accomplishment when you passed. Overall, the course was excellent and I have no regrets whatsoever of taking it. If you are on the fence on whether to enrol or not, I recommend enrolling.

I had a great experience completing Level 5 TEFL Course at theteflacademy.com. My favourite part of the course was being taught on the 2-day weekend. It was more hands on and it was good practice to interact with other students and practice our lesson plans.

I also enjoyed the online sections of the course. The course content was thorough and easy to follow. The assignments were challenging but everything I had learnt in the modules were used in the assignment which helped confirm my understanding and knowledge.

I am pleased I embarked on this course at the TEFL Academy and would highly recommend this to anyone.

I did the “Level 5 TEFL Course” and I really like it. It gives you lots of resources and tips for planning and teaching English.

Studying the level 5 Tefl course with theteflacademy was a fantastic experience! All the content was devised very well and I really enjoyed the online video conferencing lesson we had with an experienced tutor! They were flexible to accommodate my needs during a pandemic and provide valuable online teaching practice. Additionally, I found the assignments to be really engaging and the feedback rewarding. It has without doubt provided me with a really good platform to confidently teach English in a school setting in the future!

overall, I would definitely recommend completing your Tefl course with the teflacademy as it provides excellent value for money!

Overall, I had an extremely pleasant experience undergoing my level 5 course through the TEFL academy. I had no problems navigating or understanding the course and the requirements thereof. The instructions provided throughout the course were fully comprehensive and the online platform was extremely user friendly. The teaching material was well presented and fully comprehensible. The TEFL academy is extremely helpful in terms of providing access to teacher’s resources and material. The content of the three assignments provided valuable practical experience. The assignments were graded promptly, even in these unprecedented times we find ourselves in, and the feedback given was constructive and meaningful. Having completed the course, I feel confident that I am qualified and equipped to start teaching students. I would definitely recommend the TEFL academy to friends, family and associates.

I found myself without a job toward the end of 2019 and a friend of mine suggested I teach English as a foreign language, which I investigated and found I would need a TEFL qualification. The hunt was on. There were so many sites advertising courses, and being the person I am, I investigated a couple that looked promising. After comparing and eliminating, the most outstanding was the TEFL Academy’s Level 5 TEFL course, which is an Ofqual (UK government) regulated qualification. I elected to do the Online Level 5 (168hrs) course, as I have classroom experience, being a Montessori preschool teacher for the last nine years.

Little did I know what I was in for. I have never studied online, never mind on my own, before. I was very impressed from the outset, learning things I don’t recall having learnt at school. Perhaps they had just been glanced over, but I don’t remember having had to study them, for example, the order of Adjectives! What an eye opener!

The online course is very user friendly and easy to navigate however, I would suggest that content is proof-read as I did find a few annoying spelling errors, which took me rather by surprise. (I thought they might have been deliberately included to see if we do actually pay attention to what we are reading:)

I felt I was ready for the the first assignment as it drew near and then, suddenly, I felt as though I had forgotten everything I had covered up to that point. I spent a very long time on this assignment, but it was worth the effort. I had to make sure I had covered all the requirements, but overthinking creates self-doubt, and found myself chopping and changing my content a few times. The following two assignments were challenging too, but I took the time to process what was required and opened my mind by revisiting the course content for ideas and instructions I knew I had noted down.

As I said in the beginning, “Little did I know what I was in for.” I found the course to be very challenging at times, thinking I would never make the deadline of six months, but I did.

For the most part, I have learnt so much and have really enjoyed the challenge.

If I were to take the course over again, I would definitely have a study buddy, or communicate with the course trainers during times I felt ‘stuck’. I have to learn not to be so independent, and that it is okay to ask for help:) There is no such thing as a silly question.

I now look forward to teaching on a completely different level to what I am used to, and who knows, perhaps in a completely different country….. one day!

It’s a great course with a lot of detail and interesting content. They provide you with many resources you will be able to use once your a teacher. I am excited for the future, because I know this course provided me with the necessary skills to become a good teacher. i am very happy with the TEFL course. even though i covered English in my college year i was still able to learn more than what i thought i knew. i love how detailed the course material was and all the tests really helped a lot. the course material is so valuable that we can always look back to it when we want to teach our learners something. i was really relieved to have our assignments back after being marked, i was impressed on how we didnt need to wait long for the marking. i highly recommend TEFL because you will really gain alot of knowledge
