I have just completed the TEFL Level 5 online course and have been very impressed with the standard of teaching and the online platform.

The course content was very thorough and the assignments were extremely practical and very challenging, yet enjoyable to do.

The standard of knowledge and feedback from the course tutors was very impressive. In terms of the assignments, they were very detailed in their critique, highlighting areas needing improvement yet always giving encouragement. I was absolutely delighted to receive a distinction in my final assessment and this is down to their help throughout the course.

As I start my new career as a TEFL teacher, I am confident that this course has given me a great start on my journey.

This is the second online course I’ve completed during lockdown, and let me just say, The TEFL academy is by far the best course I’ve ever done.

The course covered everything, it was enjoyable, clear and easy to follow – yet still challenging (in a good way).

Sometimes independent online learning can be quite overwhelming, but the TEFL academy provide you with everything you need to succeed, both during the course and afterwards.

To start with,the admin staff seemed nice over the phone. However, their level 5 online course is probably one of the worst courses I have ever done. It was not interactive at all. There were just boring course material to read through. I would not recommend them to anyone.

I did not expect the course with the TEFL Academy to be as good as it was. I was really impressed with every part of the course- it was challenging but supportive in every way. I would highly recommend this course to everyone who is seeking to gain a qualification in ESL teaching.

TEFL was a really amazing course, it gave me a much better insight on the English language as a whole and how to use it practically in a foreign country.

The learning content wasn’t something that you just learn and forget about it was very practical and applicable in so many ways. it really did help me become a better teacher, i already recommended this course to a bunch of my friends and family.

When I decided to do my TEFL course, I could not believe the wonderful discount I received as the specific course was on special. Working full time, I realised that I would need lots of spare time to do this extra work. The TEFL Academy made it easy as all course content was extremely well laid-out and all instructions very easy to follow. I loved making progress through all the units. The assignments were very well explained and there were very user friendly instructions on how to submit it. They even provided me with beautiful templates to use. Once or twice when communicating with them via the student support portal, I was pleasantly surprised at their efficiency. I WOULD CHOOSE THE TEFL ACADEMY AGAIN AND RECOMMEND THEM FOR ALL PARTIES INTERESTED IN DOING THEIR TEFL CERTIFICATE. Thank you TEFL Academy!

I’d been wanting to get TEFL certification since the ’80s, but never had the time or the funds (it used to cost thousands). Although I taught ESL (in the ’80s) without being certified, when the quarantine hit and I began looking for remote work, it became clear that the “good jobs” (for teaching English) required certification.

There are myriad options for certification. Many are extremely inexpensive ($20 for a TESOL, in some cases) and certification happens quickly, but if I was going to do this, I wanted Level 5 certification from a highly-respected institution. After looking into the programs at a number of schools, I chose the TEFL Academy.

The Level 5 Certification course was MUCH more “intense” than I’d anticipated, and the “168 hours” is misleading. I probably spent that much time just on the three assignments. Before completing the course, many times I found myself wishing I’d opted for one of the easier programs…but when it was over, I was so happy to have gone this route!

The TEFL Academy’s Level 5 Certification is considered on par with Celta and Trinity certification, and it allows me to be picky about the jobs I seek. That fact alone makes it worth the time and expense. Had I gone for “cheap, fast, and easy” certification, I’d have to take whatever I can get, and that’s almost never a good thing. This particular certification will also make it easier to get students for private tutoring sessions.

Were I footloose and fancy free, I’d be all over the job placement assistance offered to TEFL Academy graduates. Their resources are phenomenal, and I’d love to be moving from country to country, again. But I’m thrilled to have so many options for remote work now that I have Level 5 certification.

Even if you’re a native speaker with a stranglehold on the English language, don’t go into this thinking you could do it in your sleep. The Level 5 certification course is not “a cakewalk.” You will EARN your certificate! But that’s what makes it (well) worth having.

I’d definitely recommend the TEFL Academy to anyone who wants to teach English, whether remotely or abroad.

I am very honoured to have been able to do a TEFL course at The TEFL Academy, this was the best study experience online, I ever had! The content were perfect , the practice teaching were great . However I would appreciate more detail feedback on one assignment – but the feedback was great! Instructor competency is fantastic ! Oh man! The resources were fantastic, it really helped a lot ! There is so much more about this academy I cant even express in words! This was the best 3 months of my life! Wish I had discovered them sooner! I have so much gratitude for this company and their tutors ! They quick and they keep their word!

Fantastic course.very intense but worthwhile. Highly recommend it.The feedback for assignments are detailed and informative. A lot of guidance was offered throughout the course.

Overall I was very happy with The TEFL Academy. I liked the convenience of learning online and going at your own pace. It would be nice to have a virtual coach of some sort assigned to encourage progress on the course. Also, at least for the 1st assignment, I would have liked to have a tutor review the assignment first to see if I was on the right track. It’s a little unnerving submitting something without any feedback at all.

The course had so many things I increased my awareness of the English language, even as a native speaker. It really challenged how I viewed teaching EFL. I also have so much more respect about the energy and time it takes to plan a lesson!

I really enjoyed learning teaching techniques, and the history of teaching EFL. I’m glad I was able to focus on my certification during the COVID lockdowns. In many ways, it kept me sane!

I highly recommend this course and am looking forward to teaching.
