Our 4-week courses leading to the Certificate in TEFL are held at our training centre here in central Toulouse in South West France. We have an excellent local and national reputation, and our courses are externally accredited by IATQUO. Plenty of teaching work is available in France and around the world after the course. We offer lifetime job guidance and a range of well priced accommodation options.
Trainees receive over 70 hours of input theory regarding English grammar, phonology, and how to improve students’ speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. Trainees teach 6 one hour lessons and receive in-depth lesson planning help, observation and feedback from qualified trainers.

TEFL Toulouse was a great introductory program to teaching English—and the team is truly fantastic. What’s most helpful about this program is that they help you look for a job, offering materials to write a proper CV, a cover letter, what to ask in an interview, what to charge, etc.
And they truly do mean it when they offer job guidance for life! I took the TEFL course at the end of 2021 but wasn’t ready to become a teacher until the beginning of 2024. I emailed Jonathan asking if he would be a reference on a Thursday; he answered immediately saying yes and telling me about a few schools that were hiring; I had an interview on that Friday; and I started the job the next Monday! Wouldn’t have known about this opportunity without their help!
CONS:
The TEFL course puts a lot of stress on teaching classes for children, which is helpful—but we students taking the TEFL course are not children ourselves, which means we may have jobs/responsibilities/etc. and may need to check emails during the day. Since we are clients paying for a course and not children taking a class, I believe this should be respected.
