Meryl was very skilful . Lively pace very active and content was fun and a lot of the handbook covered in depth . It was inspiring and showed the formats for lesson planning and some excellent ways to deliver content to foreign students in a manageable way .

Good advice at the end re future openings and great to know you had written feedback to verify attendance and lesson observation.

Very pleased .

The course was well-planned and excellently delivered by Meryl. It was engaging, fun and provided great insight into both delivering lessons and the job market itself. Meryl herself was very friendly and knowledgeable on all the subjects covered, and the other people on the course were similarly friendly and also eager to learn.

The only thing I would say is simply in regards to directions : it suggested that the course was being held at the GMEX rather than the Premier Inn. It might be worth amending this for future events held there.

I really enjoyed the tutor’s energy, the feedbacks, the tips, the contents, the share of knowledge, how Richard tried to explain how is normal that we are nervous in the beginning and how to overcome it…

It would be extremely beneficial if we had more online lessons because it helps to be able to take all our doubts face-to-face and realize there are more like us, with the same doubts, or learning from other students’ doubts that we even didn’t know we also had them, and learn from the other presentations and their feedback.

Liz was amazing. She really explained how and why the TEFL way of teaching is far better than that of “normal” classroom rhetoric. We were given lots of opportunities to ask questions and figure stuff out for ourself. Liz helped us to learn how to elicit information from the students and put us in different roles throughout the course. She met everyone at their level and was, simply put, really engaging and an excellent teacher.

We learnt you don’t need fancy technology to teach people, some of the issues we might face as tutors and how to affectively overcome them.

Simon is a very experienced, enigmatic, humorous and charismatic facilitator. He knows how to motivate and engage, create sticky learning and bring out the best in delegates.

He is personable and friendly. We all learnt a huge amount and he managed to keep us going for the whole time. No mean feat

He loves his topic and it shines -sign up pronto! You will learn

Simon French ran this short introductory course for nine students with flair, verve and professionalism. His evident comprehensive experience and long standing knowledge allowed him to immediately strike up a rapport with students with an age range of 19-75- a skilful gift.

The ability to engage the course from the outset néant that there was a good and attentive atmosphere throughout and the subjects taught and practical performance enabled everyone to ‘buy into” the tefl “ experience with enthusiasm. Simon is an excellent and natural teacher who communicated the subject very well to me and for which I am grateful.

The hotel Mercure was adequate with the simple resources available but needing prompting by Simon.

The pre course administration with me was v poor. I received no pre course communication at all and , in spite of emailing the helpline and calling the help number, was not even sure if and when it would start.

Apart from that, this tefl course was a good experience for me and Simon should be congratulated.

I’ve just completed the 120-hour TEFL course (including 2 days in the classroom).

The online course is well structured and set out making it easy to dip into.

The assessments really test your understanding of the content covered in the units and the classroom videos provide a great insight into teaching English to foreign students. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

My only comment would be about the sound in some of the videos. At times you’re not able to make out what the students are saying which is a shame but doesn’t detract from the overall content.

I just completed the 20 hour TEFL weekend course. Our instructor, Steve, was fantastic. I am so impressed at how he kept us going for these long days, and kept the learning fun. That was a masterclass for us in thinking about our own teaching. I picked up lots of useful information, tips and techniques, and a confidence boost too. I’m really glad I did the course.

I don’t have a bad word to say about TEFL.org. Every member of staff that I have come across has been professional and helpful.

The content is thorough and informative.

My online tutor, Arthur, was very helpful throughout and responded quickly to any enquiries and/or questions that I had for him. He gave insightful feedback to my assignments and gave me alternative activities that I could use in my real life teaching – thank you Arthur.

Asif was leading the classroom sessions that I attended. He also was brilliant – he made the weekend interesting and interactive whilst being informative. I feel I learned a lot over the weekend.
