Elizabeth was an outstanding teacher and articulated the course well. She put the whole class at ease straight away through her friendly and professional approach.

Her teaching style was relaxed and demonstrated approaches her students could apply to their teaching.

All students got involved over the weekend, even where there were technical issues, but that added to the learning experience to how to work around these for on-line lessons.

The weekend was very interactive and enjoyable. Feedback for lesson presentation was constructive and felt I learnt a lot from Elizabeth which I can apply to my lesson planning and teaching going forward.

Simon was a wonderful teacher. He was always friendly and professional. He gave very helpful advice on lesson planning and delivery. I’ve learned a great deal in only two weekends. His classes were always extremely interesting and very interactive. He was consistently providing us with constructive feedback. This really helped me become more confident in myself as a teacher. It was, overall, an unforgettable experience.

I am very happy that I decided to supplement my online course with the online classroom portion.

Richard was a fantastic instructor and he not only provided us with theoretical information and stories from his own experience but he also modeled a lot of techniques that we could use ourselves.

He injected humor and a personal touch into the lesson which made it a fun environment and really engaged all the students throughout the length of the two weekends.

The feedback from our demo teaching was constructive and confidence-building. I feel more ready to take on a variety of teaching settings than a felt before the class.

I had finished about half of my online course when I took this class and while the information contained in the course stood independently if I did change one thing it would have been to finish the entire course before the classroom portion, as there are some examples of teaching styles and small questions that would have been nice to be able to bring up.

Richard was a very supportive, enthusiastic and energetic tutor, who was positively brimming with innovative ideas and suggestions to keep our prospective students motivated and engaged. There was never a dull moment from the get-go!

As a result the virtual classroom dynamics were vibrant and Richard’s elicitation skills meant that there was a lot of lively brainstorming. This in turn taught us how elicitation should be done and presentations were inspired and inspiring – I learnt so much from my peers .

Feedback from Richard was very informative and his helpful suggestions meant that I learnt a lot about areas of my work that needed to be improved.

I would have preferred a face-to-face session as my technical skills aren’t great, but also because I would have liked to have met the people I was on the course with.

However, I wouldn’t have been able to meet such a diverse and interesting cohort of students had there not been this opportunity to have a virtual classroom session.

I am very happy with my overall experience with TEFL. The online course has been extremely helpful to widen my opportunities as an English teacher. The online lessons were very fun and engaging with the tutor Richard Cullen. I’ve learnt a lot and will be returning!

I really enjoyed the virtual classroom with Richard. He was well organized, prepared, and helpful. This class helped me feel more confident about being an English teacher and also helped me get experience with how it would be to teach a class. He talked a lot about what to expect which was helpful because I like to be as prepared as possible when doing something new. Richard is one of the best teachers I have encountered.

Simon was a great teacher who made the weekend classes really interactive and fun. He helped boost my confidence in delivering a lesson and gave feedback on areas to improve. I thoroughly enjoyed my weekends and met some great people.

Meryl was an amazing tutor , she really helped me improve my confidence in lesson planning and delivering a lesson. The weekend was very interactive and I met a great mix of people.

I planned to teach English online , but after this course. I am eager to teach a class in person.

Definitely worth the time and money!
