Of all the TEFL courses I have undertaken this was the most beneficial by far. Tony was an excellent tutor, very patient and understanding. He made himself available by email outside of teaching time, which was very reassuring. The course was executed extremely well and efficiently paced even though there was a significant amount to get through!

Being able to practice using zoom to deliver a lesson was incredibly efficacious for building confidence and moving forward.

I would recommend however that the pre-course task includes opportunity to become more familiar with the tools available in zoom, possibly a video demonstration with actions to undertake? This would be very useful for “technophobes” like myself!

Very intense but very informative and fun. Alex managed to keep everyone motivated and involved. She is an excellent tutor .. Bravo !

I really was unsure if one can effectively learn via the Internet. I was wrong.

Alex was amazing, made us work to our best, encouraging and although it was busy, I was involved all the way. I actually am confident we will do well.

Alex explained anything we didn’t understand and referred if she had to. I enjoyed my course and will be registering to do the course on young learners too soon.

Thanks for giving us the option to learn virtual.

Alex is very energetic and encouraging. She makes the class interesting and interactive . I am fully involved in the class.

The warm up part of every class is full of fun

And the content is very informative. Even though you have finished your video class, you will still not feel bored about it .

Alex’s voice is quite clear , so if you are not a native speaker, no worries .

During our teaching particle part. Alex gives us effective feedback and suggestions.

Hope you all enjoy her class!

Simon was a huge help in my development and an excellent teacher. He provided us all with sage advice and kept things moving at a pace that was comfortable and not too slow.

Very good experience, I was able to push myself within an open and understanding environment. Alex was a fantastic teacher, any student would be lucky to have her. The course gives you a taste of what teaching can be like while having a tutor beside you that can guide you and help you along the way. Being able to absorb and take note of the creative ways the other classmates would plan their lessons was also a plus.

I really enjoyed my time in this online course! Our tutor, Charlei, made the experience fun and engaging, designing great activities to help us develop our teaching skills. I also found the feedback to be very helpful, particularly paying attention to making the lesson appropriate for the student’s level. We were also giving a great list of resources to help us make lessons. One suggestion I would make is to maybe have a smaller group, as sometimes practice lessons had to be cut short due to timing issues. Overall I had a wonderful experience and feel more prepared to start my teaching journey!

Very good content and quality of teaching.

Would like feedback to be slightly more critical – it was generally very positive and said what you did well, which is good but sometimes there was no ‘what you could do better’ part of the feedback and seeing as these are the first couple of lessons we have ever done and there is no way it was perfect.

Often the mistakes made are just things that often sort themselves out with time and experience so just being told that would make the feedback feel more rounded and complete.
