Description

OnTESOL was developed by Coventry House International, the only school in North America that offers Trinity CertTESOL courses, to provide students with the flexibility of taking an internationally recognized TESOL/TEFL course online.

We offer a 120-hour online TESOL program, which is recognized by TESL Canada Professional Standard 1 and ACTDEC UK Level 3, and a 250-hour online TESOL program, which is recognized by TESL Canada Professional Standard 2 and ACTDEC UK Level 5.

The Advanced 120-hour TESOL Certificate is perfect for those who want to teach English in Canada or abroad because it is very similar to CELTA and Trinity CertTESOL. The 250-hour TESOL Diploma is perfect for those who want to pursue a teaching career because it goes deeper into various lesson planning formats and teaching methods.

Excellent online course. I was a little sceptical at first that the online course would not compare favourably with the classroom course but I was pleasantly surprised. I was able to use much of my new knowledge immediately. I took the 120-hour course plus the course for business English. I applied for esl work in the business sector immediately after completing my Ontesol course and received a favourable answer to all my requests, finally settling with the YMCA in Montreal. I never thought the course would be so helpful especially when it comes to lesson planning.

The course content provided in the 250-hour TESOL Diploma was very detailed and informative. I learned a lot by taking this course, and it has informed my teaching practice.

Ontesol was my first step into teaching, having studied pharmacy and commerce at university previously. I took the 120hour course that included the teaching young learners course and the structure and content of the course was very well laid out. It was also the first course of any kind I’d done online and the communication from Ontesol and their tutors was fantastic. The tutors always provided helpful feedback for assignments. Overall, I felt well prepared to teach and I was able to land a spot with EPIK in South Korea and spent a year teaching English at primary school level, which was a truly wonderful experience that I’ll never forget. Although I did not utilise the job resources that Ontesol has available to get that position, Ontesol’s resources are plentiful and they offer continuing assistance to their course graduates which is great.

I did the Ontesol Diploma and the Teaching IELTS certificate courses. Both courses were really good. The resources were really helpful and I got very useful feedback from my instructors.

Just finished the 120 hr course and it absolutely provided some of the most insightful and practical materials for anyone who aspires to be a top notch English instructor. My tutor, Aaron, provided thoughtful and very thorough assignment feedback and advice for my future teaching career where he definitely displayed why he is a qualified individual to receive guidance from. Being someone who had already taught in classrooms, albeit in more casual learning settings, I’ve gained loads of insights on how to make sure lessons stay productive while also being fun.

I have recently completed the 120-hour TESOL Certificate Course. I think this course is incredible and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get into teaching English as a foreign or second language. Even though I’ve been teaching for sevel years, I have discovered so many useful techniques so I suggest that course even for those who think they are good at teaching English. My tutor, Aaron Marques, is wonderful. He is a great guide who walked with me through the whole course and helped whenever I had problems and always got back to me in a timely manner. I want to thank OnTESOL for providing an unforgettable learning experinece !

This 120-hr course was very enjoyable. The lessons were very well organized, the teacher’s responses were quick and detailed, and there was opportunity to work at my pace. I was especially thankful for the chance to re-do assignments, as this is where my learning took place. I have yet to look for a practicum or for work placement; perhaps in the near future. Overall, a great experience!

I just completed the 120-hour TESOL Certificate Course. I thought this course was fantastic and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to get into teaching English as a foreign or second language. As this is a new career path for me, I was not familiar with lesson planning so it was a little overwhelming at first. My tutor, Ainsley, was wonderful. She answered all of my questions and always got back to me in a timely manner. Clare, the Recruitment Coordinator has also been excellent to deal with. She is professional and has provided me with useful information for my new career going forward. I want to thank OnTESOL for the exceptional service!
