This program was recommended by an English Language Centre Manager. I have nothing else to compare it to, but I found the course very useful. The tutor was very helpful. I appreciate the guidance and support. The program director was also very helpful. Anytime I had a question, I was given worthwhile feedback.

OnTESOL provided me with a great way to study without having to commit to attending full-time or part-time classes. Having everything online made things easy and convenient, while also allowing me to study at my own pace.

My personal tutor was helpful, responsive, and always able to give me personalized feedback when necessary. Although some of the material was a bit dense, I was able to read through it at my own speed, which helped me manage the amount of readings. I would have liked a bit more variation in some of the teaching materials, but I was very satisfied with the majority of it. With regards to the practicum, I was able to find a school on my own, but I know they support students who need practicum placements as well.

I would recommend OnTESOL to anyone who is looking to teach ESL domestically or abroad, but is unable to attend classes in person.

I took the 120-hour TESOL course and found the materials very thorough. I learned things that as an English speaker was surprised to realize I had forgotten about. The course was detailed and provided many resources that I expect will help me along the way as an EAL teacher.

I just finished my 120-hour TESOL certificate and I couldn’t be happier with the information I learned and the job prospects this has opened up for me. The course material starts off a little bit easy, but gets really into lesson planning by the third module. Aaron, the course adviser, was very fast with his feedback on assignments and always offered really good advice on how to become a better teacher.

I would recommend this course to anyone looking for a quality learning experience that they can do in their own time.

Having just completed the 120-hour advanced course, my experience with OnTESOL has been a very positive one!

The course covers all facets from adult learning styles, the technical details surrounding grammar and phonetics, as well as progressive instruction developing well thought out and effective comprehensive lesson plans. I was paired with a highly professional and knowledgeable Tutor who provided continuous feedback. This made a huge difference in being able to address areas for improvement along the way.

Thank you OnTESOL for providing me the right skills to confidently take on this new career path in the world of EAL teaching!

The course materials were well designed. Step by step explanation for lesson plans were easy to grasp and understand. The observation videos however were outdated and had poor sound quality.

Both Ms Margaret (assigned as my online tutor for the 250 hour course) and Ms Claudia (assigned for 20 hour TEYL) were quick to respond to questions and marking of assignments as well as giving clear explanations and insightful notes to help me along the way or improve on a next assignment.

I have enjoyed the course very much and I am looking forward to putting my new knowledge to practice in the near future.

Despite my ten-year-experience as an ESL teacher in my own studio, I have benefitted from the 250-hour-ONTESOL course very much. The course gave me the opportunity to look at the preparation of my lessons from a different perspective and to learn more about the communicative method and different teaching techniques such as PPP and TBL.

The course is very comprehensive with its three modules on grammar, methodology and phonology. It is a very engaging course and this says a lot about its seriousness. Most online courses of this kind cannot boast any prestigious accreditation and they do not even include homework or exams: they are very tempting because they offer a quick way to a certification or diploma which, in the end, is worth very little or nothing in the international work arena.

What I liked about the course was its practical orientation. A lot of lesson plans to prepare and homework to submit: the best way to really learn how to do things.

The support from my tutor has always been prompt and her advice extremely useful thanks to her excellent competence.

I didn’t expect I would have loved the phonology module so much. That was very practical, too and it helped me to improve how to teach pronunciation in a simple but effective way.

The areas of the course I would improve are the video resources showing teachers applying the communicative method in real classes. Having been recorded some years ago, their quality is not excellent and this makes it sometimes difficult to follow what teachers and students say.

Overall a very good course. A source of inspiration and enrichment from a professional and personal point of view.

Furthermore, I have realized there is a big request of TESOL teachers worldwide and I am sure this will help me to improve my business.

I just finished the 250-hour TESOL Diploma Course. That was a really great experience!

Although I’m not a novice teacher, the course was not easy and required a lot of reflection. Lesson observation assignments were especially useful for me.

I was lucky to get a great tutor, Margaret. Her comments on my work were incredibly deep and thought-provoking. They gave me direction for further reading.

Just one remark. I would be great if the course included more information on different approaches within the Communicative Methodology (TBL, ESA, etc.) and their comparison.

Without a second thought, I can recommend OnTESOL to any teacher seeking professional development.

The content of the course was extremely helpful and continues to support me in my teaching to this day.

I highly recommend this course to both new and experienced teachers. The practicum was very useful and a great hands-on experience to apply and practice all the theories learned from the readings.
