I have a Masters in Education and I am an American now living abroad. I took a job teaching for a non-profit in a workshop setting for kids after school and adult conversation workshops at night.
It’s been a long time since I have done this type of work and so I thought why not get some more training in?
This course was just what I needed to feel more at ease with concepts and strategies in teaching ESL students.
My favorite aspect was having the information concisely packaged in the coursework.
My only criticism was that there could have been some room to expand on topics like teaching conversation, etc. I would have also appreciated some general information on what approaches work best with one-on-one students.
Overall, if you are thinking about this program, I say, go for it. You get decent quality and clearly presented material that will help you feel prepared.
