Overall, my experience with the MyTEFL course was a positive one. Truly, it just felt so good to learn again after years out of school that I found myself quite sad when I was finally finished with the course. That being said, the course does a good job of walking you through all the circumstances you might encounter when teaching in foreign countries. I do wish there had been a little more instruction regarding teaching online as that is what I plan to do, but that’s only my personal opinion. I appreciated the review of basic grammar and the lesson planning aspect, and for the most part felt that, as long as I took notes and engaged with the content with my own personal initiative, I learned a lot from each section.

As a cheap and easy option to getting your TEFL, I would highly recommend myTEFL!

I recently graduated a 140 hour course with MyTEFL! I researched many online teaching English as a second language schools and narrowed it down to two schools.

Not mentioning the other one, I went with MyTEFL and have no regrets. I am VERY PLEASED AND SATISFIED. The course were very structed and informative. As speaking English as my native language I even learned more things that I did not know.

The courses themselves are explained and divided into units. After the lesson the is an exam to re-literate what you just have studied. I did not feel overwhelmed having to study so much at once and was able to focus on that that particular lesson one at a time. I really liked how their explanations and examples were thorough. There is also a library on their site for more info and guidelines for you as well. helpful resources listed throughout the course program.

MyTEFL also helps with your resume and cover letter. Information and job placement and gives a letter of recommendation

The best part was doing the courses at my own pace and time, did not feel any pressure. I also graduated earlier than expected. The other good part was the price was a factor for me and I feel that it was worth every penny.

I just finished the 140 hour TEFL certification through MyTEFL and it was definitely worth the time. The class was very well structured and easy to follow along with. I liked how it was completely at your own pace. All you have to do is log in and select where you left off from. This made it very easy to fit in my busy schedule. One of my favorite aspects of this course was actually the platform. All the lessons were laid out in a way that you know exactly how much you have left to do, what you are accessing, and where you are in the course. Your grade is also conveniently displayed in the top left corner of the screen at all times.

Aside from the layout and formatting, MyTEFL did a great job of explaining the information in each section. There were always lots of examples, easy to work with definitions, and clear explanations. The quizzes after each section also helped to reinforce the content. The only con about MyTEFL’s content is that it mainly comes in the form of reading long pages of information, so it might not be the most beneficial course for people with different learning styles.

Another positive of MyTEFL is that they walk you through the job application process in the course and have many job-related resources through their site. After earning a TEFL through MyTEFL, you don’t have to worry about using other resources to find a job placement!

Overall, I would highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to earn their TEFL certification!

How I learned about myTEFL?

I had to make searches online for a few months. The TEFL industry is booming and at some point I felt it would be very difficult to get an accredited course and that I was wasting my time for nothing. With many scammers online, it had been a bit difficult to decide who to trust. But once I learned about myTEFL, I felt very lucky to have stumbled upon myTEFL.

How is great the course material is?

The course is so organized and laid out into parts where the student can clearly understand what each unit’s goal is. It starts with explaining the TEFL industry followed by how a teacher can manage the classroom. Then the parts effective approaches for teaching the 4 language skills and how to plan prepare a lesson plan are so fantastic. The material is easy to understand. I learned a great deal! On the dashboard, it says it’s comprehensive. Of course it was really comprehensive.

I paid for the course through someone else’s credit card and I had to submit a name change request and I had to contact the team for the questions I had. I contacted Tina for most of my questions. She is so kind, friendly and very supportive. My tutor Andrew, his suggestion on how to take the course seriously without rushing through is really priceless!

The cost

The cost is so reasonable and the discounts given according to the discount coupon codes make it even more affordable.

My final words…

I really enjoyed the course and would highly recommend myTEFL to anyone interested in teaching English as a second language. I am really impressed!

Some of the rating categories were not applicable because, due to the pandemic, I took the course on-line.

However, overall, I am very impressed with MyTEFL!

When I was looking for a course on the internet, it proved to be a bit of a jungle. Prices ranging from $59-$2500, for example. I feel very fortunate to have “stumbled” upon MyTEFL!

Tina was very helpful, personable and was always available.

I felt the cost was reasonable; the material was well laid out; was assigned a tutor (if necessary), as well as many other features!

I would highly recommend MyTEFL to anyone interested in teaching English as a second language!

I took this course in person almost 20 years ago in Thailand and it was such a great stepping stone in my career there for 20 years. Completing this online course was basically a refresher course that seemed to teach me a few new things as well. Now that the general job industry is decimated there, at least I know they will always need teachers so I am so glad I took this course to rebuild the confidence and skills to teach again. If you really want to change your life and the lives of others, this is a great way to start! Thank you myTEFL.

Having worked for 18 years in a totally different field, i decided to pursue a profession outside facility and maintenance world. I chose EFL because i believe that English is a useful skill and has become a necessity to be able to globally compete especially in the working world. I did my research and opted to enrol in MyTEFL and it was the best decision so far.

Their lessons are relevant and excellent and it was very easy to comprehend even for someone who does not have a background in teaching. The website is organized and i found many useful information i could use to start my career. MyTefl surely gave me the boost of confidence to pursue teaching.

Being a full time employee, a mother of 2 gorgeous kids I was very concerned if I would be able to upgrade my qualifications with all family tasks I am required to do. However I discovered MyTefl and completed the program in a couple of months. The flexibility and opportunity to adjust time by yourself is amazing chance for a busy person nowadays. During this program I have refreshed my knowledge, revealed perfect skills in teaching English for foreigners. I strongly recommend MyTefl to all who are busy with life routine but still need upgrading of qualifications or getting new ones.

I just completed the 140 hour course and it was phenomenal. I finished it in only 5 days because I learned so much from the course! The course was well laid out and the expansive library has a lot to offer for downloading that I can use when I teach! Even the tutor support was very fast and helpful. Loved the program!

This course was a great way to learn SO much on my own schedule. It is laid out in a great format- learn, quiz, continue. I really appreciate the kindness and helpfulness if the staff too!
