Originally while doing some research I had a few options for TEFL certification courses. While doing research I was really adamant about finding a valid certification and a well-rounded online course. Before making a final decision on one, I was recommended by a friend of myTEFL’s 120-hour course. I was told that they had a pretty decent online course and that they had assisted them in finding a teaching job in Korea. Hearing their experience had me intrigued and convinced me to sign up with myTEFL. A few months later I have now completed my 120-hour course and can say with confidence that the quality of their modules is excellent. They have a good way of immersing you into each unit and do a great job at checking your comprehension with varied quizzes after each chapter. My only critique with the online course was at the beginning of the course introduction, you lack information on how the grading works in your course and how the quizzes are a one-time take. Other than this, overall the 120-hour course was well rounded and offers great additional material on the provided resources library tab. I have not worked with them yet for job opportunities but I look forward to using more of myTEFL’s resources.
