The course puts you on the spot: there’s nothing like teaching real classes on your first day to focus the mind and push you to do your best! Just as good is the feedback. Experienced teachers will tell you exactly what you are doing well and alsond the aspects you will need to be aware of the next time you step into the classroom. The teachers are clearly highly knowledgeable so their feedback is something to treasure.

By the end of the programme I was beginning to understand how to pitch a lesson so that it is suitable for the level of the students. I could clearly see the importance of elicting answers from students and not just ‘telling’ them, keeping the whole class engaged, and using the board effectively. I now feel ready to go and teach a class – somewhere in Mexico I hope – and would not be in this position if I hadn’t had ITTO’s support along the way.

This is a review for ITTO’s Online TESOL Technology course.

Several years ago I completed ITTO’s TEFL Certification in Guadalajara and was very satisfied with the experience. This year for further education I took two ITTO online courses. First, I completed the Teaching Business English course. This course I completed easily. It was well thought out and gave a good overview of the things a teacher must consider and implement when the focus of the client and student is Business English.

This week after much struggle and toil I completed the online TESOL Technology course. As hard as it was for me because it required tinkering with numerous activities, programs and technologies online that I had never used before, I can unequivocally state that it was worth the effort. The course probably launches into more than any teacher will use but that is also reflected in today’s reality that their are numerous choices and multiple means of application for many of these apps, programs and activities. The point is to get acquainted with these options, experiment and find what works for what and when.

My only criticism is that I would have liked to interface more with other students taking the course. I was able to read their posts but interaction was at a minimum as well as with the instructor. Some live webinars would have been great in this course or the use of Skype. Skype was taught in the course but not used as a platform in delivery of the course.

I did a lot of web surfing before determining and choosing the ITTO online TESOL Technology course. I felt that it had more to offer than many other options available online and I feel that I learned something both of value and of use. I hope others have felt the same.

Hello! Every Body I am Hesperzia from Pakistan, just qualified the ITTO-TEFL 140 Hours course with flying colors.

Having crossed the finishing line now i see backward and look toward my achievement, without hesitation i deem that my victory is not outcome of my own efforts, dedication and diligence but cannot help to give all the credit to the blue chip ITTO-TEFL organization who designed the course in smart manner, with easy, useful and valuable contents. Order and flow of information from first till last unit was significant. The organization not only transmitted valuable information in easy remarkable manners but also transformed the information into ladder from beginning point to the finishing line.

Beside this real time support and encouragement given by my respected mentor Sheila Corwin was undeniable. Although it was my wish that being student I could approach to my mentor through live messenger like SKYPE but as per SOP of organization mode of communication was email only, but even then, with her prompt response to any of my query and by her quick feedback to my assignments, my mentor did not let me realize for a single day that i am far away from her. And i just went through from all process like flying horse. With due respect and honor Here my Hats Off for her with ovation.

Now I am in the phase of job placement, and hold the hope, as usual in this area i will be give due attention & support and practically soon I will be part of ESL industry in any of my dream country like Thailand, Philippine, SriLanka etc.,

In contrast to other ESL courses I found it really affordable, this was the very first attraction and motivation for me to step into this valuable course. Rest ITTO-TEFL did not allow me for a single moment to repent upon my decision. With confidence I do recommend ITTO-TEFL to any willing person who REALLY wants to creep into ESL industry.

In last my humble gratitude to my esteemed mentor Sheila Corwin and my distinguished organization ITTO-TEFL within the ESL industry along with cordial prays of prosperity & thrives.

The only problem I had was the lack of practice teaching. As much problem as I had writing actual lesson plans, they were the most useful, real life experience I could get–so I wished for more practice and feedback. Overall though, all the lessons were substantial and really helpful. My advisor, Sheila, was amazing and often responded back within 24 hours. The only reason I think she even took that long (which isn’t long at all) is because I think she lived in a completely different timezone than me.

The times I had questions or problems with some of the material, she was very helpful and informative. The entire organization is very quick to respond to questions and concerns as well-which is amazing!

I would recommend anyone to take a course at this website. It’s very manageable, affordable, and helpful for your future. Both as a teacher and as a working individual. You gain skills and knowledge on a variety of things! I also learned a lot more about grammar than I remember from elementary school so that helped catch me up!

Hello Everybody,

I have just completed my 140 hours online TEFL course with distinction on my grade and am feeling very happy. It was an amazing experience for me throughout the course. You can smoothly complete the course at your own pace as you have a full one year of time. The course material is very clear and easy to follow.

My review won’t be completed if I forget to mention my tutor –SUSAN GAMMAGE without whom this could have not been possible. She is real gem for me. Her quick and impressive feedback helped me a lot in widening my teaching knowledge. She is very encouraging and motivating. She supports and helps me thoroughly in every query and gives the best solution. Her feedback carries abundant of information which helps me a lot in improving and elaborating my knowledge.

Even Treisi, the administrative staff is very supportive and provide me with quick feedback in every query and doubts.

I would highly recommend ITTO TEFL course to any graduate who wants to enter the teaching world.

I took the 140 hour online course with Susan as my tutor and it was awesome. Susan responded to every question and graded everything I submitted within a day (sometimes just a few hours). The comments were extremely useful. The feedback coupled with the course material has given me the ability to write lesson plans with the confidence I lacked before the course. I am excited to begin my career Teaching in Vietnam. One recommendation though: The grammar course should be earlier in the curriculum. I would make it one of the first 3 subjects covered (if not the first one). It is a great source to review and improve your grammar throughout. Thanks!!!

My husband and I just completed the teacher training in Guadalajara for ITTO, after completing the online portion of the certification. First off, Guadalajara is a beautiful city! I’m not sure if I ever would’ve had the chance/reason to travel there otherwise, and I feel so grateful that this provided me the opportunity. Guadalajara is gorgeous, with tons to see and do. It’s safe, the people are so friendly and the food is great! It’s also very affordable! I really hope to return to Guadalajara someday and I think everyone should visit. Did I mention the perfect weather? Yeah, there’s that too.

As for the program, I highly recommend it! I would not have been prepared for what real teaching is like, if I didn’t come here. The people at ITTO and the students were so friendly! You get a lot of 1 on 1 help and feedback from experienced ESL teachers, which was very helpful. The staff and the students at ITTO make it a wonderful place to be. I already miss it! Thank you to Ms. Byrd, Treisi and all the staff and students for a lovely experience!

I recently completed the 5-day teaching practice in Guadalajara after completing an online TESOL program. It was everything and more than I’d hoped it would be! The program provided me with the opportunity to teach 10 different classes at a variety of levels, from emerging to advanced. My trainer, Linda Byrd, was always available to help with lesson planning and to answer any questions that I had. In addition to teaching actual EFL students, I also observed veteran teachers in the classroom and earned 5 specialty certificates.

A free week of Spanish classes is offered either before or after you start the program. I highly recommend taking these classes before if you can. You will have the experience of being on the other end of instruction as a language student. In the evenings there is time to explore the beautiful city of Guadalajara and practice your new language skills.

Overall, this experience has better prepared me for my new career as an EFL teacher. It also greatly increased my self-esteem. Now I know that I am ready to teach!

I really do not have any complaints about my experience completing the online 140 hour course. My tutor Susan provided very detailed feedback filled with resources that I will definitely use in the future. The interface of the program’s website was easy to navigate and lessons were thorough with information for students. The units required time commitment and focus which I appreciated as I feel like I’ve learned a lot upon finishing the course and it’s a rewarding feeling. I would definitely recommend using the ITTO’s TEFL Course if you are looking for a thorough and resourceful online program.

I attended ITTO’s 4 week program in Guadalajara about 4 years ago. It was a great program for new English teachers. I learned a lot about teaching and the teaching practices were invaluable!

I think it’s important to mention that you can get a teaching job in Mexico without a TEFL diploma, but the international schools, which pay the top rates, will not hire you without one. I think it was a sound investment for myself, and I would recommend it to anyone who is serious about teaching English abroad. This is especially if you are interested in teaching in a reputable institution.

The job placement has been helpful as well. I only used it twice, but they were able to help me get into the American School, and an online teaching job, where I currently work.
