This course provided me with the skills and tools to prepare my lessons and to teach English. It is easy to follow and well structured. My tutor provided me very useful material and reviews after the submission of each assignment. I would hardly recommend this course to anyone who is interested in teaching English as a second language.

I just finished this course and I truly enjoyed every minute of my experience. My tutor was very inspiring and knowledgeable in all of the subjects I studied. I would encourage anyone who has an interest in teaching ESL to take this course.

I took the 140-hour TEFL course and am very pleased with the content and my tutor, Susan. The course was challenging and I learned so much about teaching — more than I thought I would! Each unit builds off of the previous unit and covers a different area of teaching. The units include journal entries, lessons, videos, forums, and homework assignments. The information was very helpful and covered more topics than I had expected.

I was worried about taking an online course because I’ve traditionally learned in a classroom and I like to being able to receive quick responses from my teacher, but Susan eased my anxiety. She responded to my questions quickly, returned homework promptly, and offered tons of excellent resources and feedback. Her knowledge and experience in teaching showed, and she helped me become a better teacher.

I am very grateful to ITTO for this great opportunity to know the techniques, skills that an English TEFL teacher should know and use in a classroom, it was a difficult course but thanks to GOD; I could finish it.

I was fortunate to have a great teacher as my tutor; Susan Gammage helped me a lot to understand the situations and tasks that I had to solve, she opened my understanding with her innumerable arsenal of ideas, suggestions, contributions and methodological advice.

My tutor Susan was absolutely amazing. I found the course to be highly efficient, effective, and instructive. I really enjoyed the interactive content and course.

I was more than pleased by the content of my course. I felt like it covered the main topics and issues in teaching English and I learned quite a bit of information over 9 lessons. My tutor was amazing and always went above and beyond in her feedback and supplying me with additional resources and information. I would recommend this program to anyone!

I have found this 140 hour course to be very beneficial and much more than what I had anticipated. It is far better than I expected and I really appreciate the thoroughness of the course. It took me a little longer than I expected but that was purposeful too. My tutor, Susan G. was one of the best. She was always very prompt, complete and helpful in her feedback. I high recommend her to other students. She is extremely professional and knowledgeable of the topic at hand. I am retired seminary professor but like to keep up to date in the work I do. I have taught English abroad and also here in the USA. This course has provided many new insights and I highly recommend it to others. The cost is most reasonable for the amount of resources one gains as he/she takes this course. Part of the reason for me launching into this training was because of being able to use it in places I may travel to with my local church. So far it has been Africa and Indonesia.

I enrolled for the 140 hours TEFL online and started on February 22, 2016 with the intention of completing the course within a month. I ended up finishing April 21, 2016. The one month delay was attributed to many factors including my computer breaking down for a week, had exam to write, fear of failure, I am also a teacher and a mother of three. I spend odd hours doing the course after my children are down for the day. It was very stressful but well worth it. I will recommend ITTO anytime, anywhere. As a a matter of fact two of my friends are currently enrolled. I am a trained teacher that has been a teacher for almost 16years but this course is an eye opener for me. If you are a foreign trained teacher and moved to Canada like me you will understand my perspective.

The lessons and units are so beautifully laid out and logically connected such that I never for once felt lost or confused. This course has made me more aware of myself when I speak and teach English Language. My colleagues have noticed the huge difference in my speaking and I have personally seen how I have improved a lot in just two months. In the part of Canada where I live, it is very common to hear people speak and you a foreign will be thinking to yourself if you are speaking correct English. They jungle the tenses and the vocabulary is another story altogether.

The bottom line is I am more confident and more aware of my vocabulary and grammar than before and I am experiencing more positive reaction now.

My tutor Sheila Corwin is a hard marker and I lover her for that. It made me spend more time researching and doing my tasks because I do not fancy anything below A, yes she gave me “B” couple times. The good thing is if I am laid back and thought I have done my best and got a “B”, it made me sit up and fight for the A. Her feedback is so great and I humbly applied every single feedback in both the course and my teaching. It added up to my scoring 13 out of 15 in the final project.

I rated Practice teaching and Job Placement poor because I did not do practice teaching and have not used the job placement service.
