Vantage was established in 2007 and is Thailand’s highest rated TEFL program.

They offer a 120-hour, in-class TEFL course with 6 hours of observed teaching practice in Thai schools.

I’d remove the cap for Chris only if we could have more teachers like him. He makes everything seem fun and enjoyable and actually makes you want to do the work. Even though I have ADHD, he was able to keep me engaged the whole time. Props to Kevin too for all the help they gave us.

Overall, it was a great experience, more than just a course. Not only do you receive instruction, but they also give you the tools and knowledge that will help you throughout your teaching career.

The content was very interesting and informative, and both Chris and Kevin answered every concern and question I had.

The teaching practice lessons are extremely important, and they actually made me enjoy teaching and lesson planning.

Overall my experience at Vantage was truly a life-changing as someone who had no prior teaching experience.

The course offers a complete overview of the English language, covering vocabulary, grammar, phonetics and Thai culture.

I will add that Chris’s teaching experience carries throughout each lesson and keeps the learners on the front foot. Other than Chris’s mastery of the English language and his strong classroom management, he also brings a thoughtful, student‑centered approach to every lesson.

This is one of the key reasons Vantage distinguishes itself. The Engage–Study–Activate (ESA) teaching method has proven highly effective in promoting meaningful student engagement. Even as a secondary teacher, I’ve noticed that many colleagues are still unfamiliar with the ESA method. Creating lesson plan with Chris’s advices and guidance proved to be efficient as most of the time I was worried about time management. I try to Keep things simple and let the students participate. Also, have extra activities prepared, especially for younger learners whose attention span is quite short.

The practice teaching was beneficial, as we taught different class sizes, age groups, levels, and even dealt with unpredictable factors which are even more normal in Thailand.

Vantage’s unsung hero or underrated star is Kevin.

His knowledge about business, relationships and life in genral is remarkable. He travelled across many parts of the world and he is always happy to tell you about his journey. Kevin’s storytelling really stands out and helps you gain a clearer understanding of your role and career path as an English teacher in Thailand.

I highly reccommend Vantage TEFL course.

Entering this course from a non-teaching background, I wasn’t sure what to expect. However, the team at Vantage was incredibly supportive and helped me realize that teaching could be a viable career path for me. Chris’s witty sense of humour made the lessons really enjoyable, while the 6 hours of practice teaching were invaluable for building confidence and improving my teaching methods. The course was packed with valuable tips, including excellent resume advice from Kevin.

Transitioning from a completely different field, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but Chris and Kevin were incredibly supportive and helped me see teaching as a viable career path. The course structure was well organised, and the trainers were knowledgeable and approachable. Chris is the best English language trainer I’ve ever had, and Kevin helped us massively with CV preparation and interview skills. I really enjoyed learning from two very experienced teachers in Thailand. I also learned a lot about Thai culture and how to contextualise teaching to suit Thai students. The atmosphere throughout the course was very supportive and enjoyable.

I completed six observed teaching practices in real classrooms, where I taught students of different ages and levels. Those experiences were especially valuable, and the feedback I received was extremely helpful in improving both my teaching style and my confidence.

I highly recommend the TEFL course at Vantage for anyone interested in teaching in Thailand.

I had an absolutely fantastic time completing my TEFL course with Vantage TEFL it was far more than just training; it was genuinely life-changing and a ton of fun.

The whole program is built with real care and purpose. From day one, it gives you a strong, practical foundation in teaching English, but the highlight for me was stepping into real classrooms and working with actual students. Those observed teaching sessions were exciting, eye-opening, and surprisingly fun.

What made the biggest difference was the incredible team behind it. The instructors are outstanding patient, knowledgeable, and truly invested in your growth.
