I really enjoyed the 10 hour course.

Michelle Benson is an excellent teacher. She gave clear instructions during her teaching. I am so glad that I attended this course after completing my 300 hour Advanced Diploma.

I can start my teaching with much more confidence than earlier thought.

Thank you Michelle, you are a great teacher.

I am almost finished with the 180 hour TEFL 5 online course so it was so great to break out of the isolation and have a shared learning experience with other students. Michelle Kaufmann was an excellent teacher who quickly created an engaging and supportive environment for us students. Her presentations were very clear and easy to follow, she kept everyone participating equally, and her personal anecdotes really added a lot beyond the course manual. She modeled great teaching technique, and gave constructive feedback and answered our questions throughout the course. She was also so generous when it came to giving us advice about how to find the job we want. Her class really gave me a much-needed level of confidence i needed to believe I might actually be able to face a group of students and teach them English!

I thoroughly enjoyed taking the 10 Hour Virtual course on Methodologies. Michelle was fantastic – very clear, confident, and easy to communicate with. She made the whole group feel at ease and was always ready to answer our questions at any time. Her background and wealth of experience was truly helpful to everyone coming from different backgrounds. The course content was simple, straightforward, and filled with useful tips and teaching strategies. Feedback was constructive and positive and it helped to view this from different perspectives. Overall, I really enjoyed the course and I would truly recommend it everyone; whether you are at a beginner stage or advanced, it was very helpful!

I have only recently signed up for the 180 h Diploma and I initially thought that it would be too soon to dive into the online teaching practice at this point.However, Michelle proved to be an excellent teacher and I felt comfortable from the get go. Her explanations were very clear and she made sure all the students were actively involved at all times.

Most of all, I appreciated her capacity to pay attention to each student whilst looking after the whole class and that reflected in the personalised and detailed feedback she offered to each of us at the end of the teaching practice

One of the best online teaching experiences I have ever had for a long time! And the credit goes entirely to the outstanding teaching by Michelle Benson. I enjoyed the 10-hour course immensely and find myself smiling even after both day sessions ended. Michelle was so enthusiastic, dynamic, fun, and engaging that I felt as if I was having the time of my life: clear, effective instructions, well structured with visuals rolled out with great timing, and sympathetic support throughout sessions given to each of us students. On top of that, Michelle has managed to help me overcome a major grammar hurdle, something I have been struggling with for years. She demystified tenses and how to identify each in a short 15-minute overview! The course offers many lessons, takeaways, and practical tips to future TEFL teachers. Must do it!

Taking the 10-Hour Advanced Certificate in TEFL Classroom Methodologies was an incredibly valuable experience to me. The course provided me with deep insights into effective classroom control, lesson planning, and adapting to different student levels. From the very start to the very finish of the course, I felt supported always and engaged constantly, making it not only a great investment in my TEFL career, but also an amazing experience overall.

Whilst on the course, I learned how to confidently control a classroom, ensuring lessons run smoothly and effectively. One of the most important aspects for me personally was learning how to adjust teaching methods to suit various learners’ needs. In addition , beyond these key areas, the course also covered a range of essential teaching techniques that will be useful in any TEFL setting. I would say that a huge part of what made this course so rewarding was the outstanding guidance from Michelle Benson. She is an amazing tutor that is always available for support, making sure that no one ever felt awkward or stuck. Her teaching approach was encouraging and clear, and she always knew exactly what she was talking about / teaching us, thus making the learning experience both enjoyable and effective. I would absolutely highly recommend this course to anyone that is serious about starting a TEFL career. If you want a strong foundation in classroom methodologies, this course is an absolute must. I attended the 10 Hour Virtual TEFL course on Wednesday 5th March and Thursday 6th March.

My Tutor was Michelle Benson.

1. Michelle from the beginning was friendly, fun, put me and the class at ease with her welcome.

2. The ball she used as a prop. in the ice-breaker was excellent, even though we could not physically catch it, the enthusiasim of Michelle was engaging, we could hear and see ourselves laughing and enjoying that experience.

3. At no time was Michelle condecending.

4. When having to practice an unknown language Amharic – I was humbed by the experience of NOT knowing the language or what I was saying. It made me empathise when students are learning English as a foreign language.

5. Michelle explained, exactly that. We must have empathy when teaching students and to understand the challenges in learning a new skill and language. It made me realise even starting at the level A1 – I, must be clear in my presentation and instructions. Michelle encouraged me in this area for which I was grateful.

6. Michelle’s constant enthusiasim after doing her own 5 hour class – then to attend my class from 5.30pm – 9.00pm. With her still looking professional; eye contact; was exceptional. At NO time did Michelle “yawn” or show any signs of tiredness.

7. Michelle is definitely passionate about teaching the English language which showed throughout the course.

8. The pros. of the course: the practice of the “Amharic words” gave me insight into the challenges of learning a new language; the cons. I did not know what the words were, (but we had seen pictures of happy, sad, faces) which Michelle did show us. Its just that I could not translate the words itself.

9. If I were to take the course again, I would ensure that if I could not share my computer screen, then I would place my teaching slide on a stand, so that it did not move about when showing the teaching aid.

Michelle is an excellent teacher of the English language and encouraged us to take this journey step by step.

I have just taken the 10 hour online TEFL course and I found it brilliant. I found it ever so informative and as a result of that I learned so much about class control, lesson planning, and class management. Not once did me or the class feel pressured, or stuck. Our tutor Michelle Benson was amazing. She always ensured me and the rest of the class were comfortable with what we was currently doing, and everything from the feedback to the actual teaching was excellent.

I would definitely recommend the course to anyone who is interested in becoming a TEFL teacher!
