My main complaint is that after paying all this money, I don’t receive my TEFL certificate for a number of weeks. I need it as soon as I finish the course because my employment starts soon and my employers need the certificate to secure my working visa. Also, the assignments are terribly unclear. It takes longer to get your head around them and simply understand what they ‘re asking you to do than actually doing them. It also takes about five working days for them to get marked, something that is very inconvenient for me as I am trying to get the course done as soon as possible for visa reasons as already mentioned. Overall, not worth the money. Go for another course that is maybe cheaper and even gets you your TEFL certification quicker.

I have just successfully completed the Level 5 TEFL course, 168 hours. I found the material clearly presented with the right amount of detail. As a mature student undertaking my first online course I was daunted. However, as I worked my way through, I felt it was achievable. I could see it had been well thought out, well structured and was easy to follow. The material was always relevant and interesting with many references. The results were given promptly with good feedback.

The weekend course was very useful with good advice and the teacher excellent.

I would definitely recommend this course.

The 168 hour course was my first time completing an online course so I wasn’t totally sure what to expect- but I enjoyed it so much! The content of the course was clearly laid out and with each unit I was able to work through the content and complete each test. I enjoyed working on the assignments and applying the skills taught in the course. The feedback for each assignment was really detailed and I was able to fix any errors/mistakes for the next assignment. I have decided to complete a top-up course in teaching English for Business and after this I will begin to look at jobs- I can’t wait!

Takes up to two weeks in some cases to get an assignment graded. Staff also does not have enough integrity to keep their word in regards to expedited grading. I felt very small here, like I wasn’t being listened to or adequately assisted.

I just completed the Level 5 course (168 hours) It was my first online-study experience, and what an adventure! The study material was relevant, clear and interesting. The assignments were not always easy, but I learned a lot by doing it. Thank you for a great course!

I studied the Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hours). I found this course very fulfilling and easy to follow, I did not find it too difficult nor complicated. However, I will recommend that you do the assessments as they come as to not run out of time and then be charged for more time.

The Level 5 course looked daunting at first – especially the assignments. However if you work your way through it and do the assignments as you finish there relevant units it is achievable.

Structure of the online course and the classroom 20 hours was excellent!

I would recommend this course to anyone who would like the opportunity to teach abroad.

The course was more difficult than I anticipated. However, I never took an online TEFL course, or any type for that matter. The course requires much effort in the Assignments, which helps the student understand how to create lesson plans.

The Job assistance online information is great. I haven’t reviewed it in great detail, so I cannot rate it as excellent yet.

Based on my experience in teaching English, of which I have not yet, in my opinion, this course gave me the background I need to have confidence in knowing how to teach, although the experience will give me more confidence.

I would recommend this course to anyone seeking to widen out in their skills to teach.

I started my TEFL training course in May with The TEFL Academy, the course content is very detailed and practical, there are also a lot of reference website for me to get extra information. Within the course, there are a lot of interesting activities, which is very helpful for me to get a better practice for different teaching skills. And the teachers from The TEFL Academy are very experienced and helpful, thank you guys very much.

I am teaching English in China, I feel so confident with my job now with my training with The TEFL Academy.

I found the TEFL Academy Level 5 TEFL Course satisfyingly challenging. It tested me while passing on new knowledge and skills. Upon completion I felt that I had achieved not only something worthwhile but importantly that I could competently function in a TEFL environment. The online platform was easy to access and use. The two day workshop with live practice exercises was also extremely beneficial. The assignments in particular were very good.
