Excellent Course!

I really enjoyed this course and completed it in just 66 days. The materials were well-organized, the videos very helpful, and the overall structure made learning enjoyable. I gained a solid understanding of EFL teaching techniques, lesson planning, and classroom management. I feel confident and well-prepared to start my journey as an English teacher abroad. The course was very user friendly, even for someone who is not very technologically advanced. The course material motivates the student to “think out of the box” and makes you excited to become a teacher. The set-up is very organized, and you never feel pressured to finish a unit. You can work at your own pace and time-management is up to you. The in-person class was very informative, and the facilitator was very well prepared. I really enjoyed having my brain cells stretched and am looking forward to getting back into teaching.

I just received my TEFL 5 certificate, and I must say the course exceeded my expectations. The course was filled with valuable references and various materials. The tutors provide very detailed and clear feedback. It’s a great resource for novice teachers. The CV and cover letter with TEFL logo provided at the end of the course was a thoughtful and useful gesture. After completing the course, many opportunities opens up, and six mounts of study were absolutely worth it.

I came to The TEFL Academy after leaving an 18-year career in engineering and corporate quality management. I was looking for a solid course to help me understand how to teach well and work independently while traveling , since I’m planning on doing that full time.

The content was clear and well-organized, and the assignments made me think. They weren’t “hard” in the traditional academic sense, but they did require me to slow down, reflect, and actually apply what I was learning — which I appreciated. I liked that the platform was self-paced, with practical tasks like lesson planning, classroom adaptation, and online teaching strategies.

The feedback on assignments was fair and useful, and I passed both on my first attempt. It felt like the right balance between supportive and serious — not too hand-holdy, but not cold either.

I now have my certificate and am building my online tutoring profile with a sense of purpose I didn’t have a year ago. For anyone who’s shifting careers, exploring long-term travel, or simply wants to teach with more confidence, I’d recommend this course. It’s a good place to start if you’re thoughtful, independent, and ready to do the work.
