I enjoyed the TEFL Level 5 course – all units were interesting and informative. I enjoyed the 10 hour classroom piece as well as it assisted with the units going forward as well as the assignments. The top up courses were helpful and additional knowledge is always better. Assistant was always readily available and the feedback for all assignments were helpful and detailed. I feel confident, knowing that I will be an excellent TEFL teacher. Thank you for assisting me in receiving my qualifications.

I’ve genuinely loved my time with The TEFL Academy!

Overall, I’d still rate my experience a perfect 5 out of 5. The course content earns a solid 4 with its clear, well structured, and spot-on for both Assignment A and Assignment B. I learned new angles on the basics I thought I knew.

Practice teaching, quality of feedback, lesson-plan guidance, and instructor competency all deserve a 5. The feedback was always prompt, specific, and genuinely encouraging. My assessors made the online experience feel like a team cheering me on.

I didn’t make use of the job assistance, so I can’t rate that yet, but it’s good to know it’s there for when I need it.

For facilities and resources, I’m moving my rating up to a 4. I loved the vibrant “Amazing Animals” worksheet with the colours and layout popping out. That said, I would rather have seen more dynamic videos than the “Countries of the World” clip; it didn’t grab me or students who partook in this course the way I had hoped (I so believe). In future versions, a few more student-engaging multimedia examples (Just like the amazing animal’s worksheet) would help reinforce that material creation is about both substance and creativity.

All in all, this course has been a game-changer. It’s given me the confidence, creativity, and practical skills I need. Whether teaching my niece, helping my friends from around the world learn English(lol), or planning my own classroom💪. I can’t wait to put everything into practice!

I have taught English as a second language, and I still found the course very helpful. It gives you a lot of ideas to either teach one-on-one in tutoring online or in a classroom.

It’s really helpful that it is easy to pick back up if you need to take a break.

I found my L3 TEFL Course very helpful for my requirements. Having last taught EFL in 1993/94 and TESOL in 2005 I needed a refresher course for when I soon travel overseas and engage in one to one teaching, or to small groups. The L3 course was comprehensive in all aspects from teacher self care and student needs, lesson planning stages, grammatical approaches, classroom awareness, online teaching tech wise and class management, to A1, Plagerism and much more.

I don’t have any negatives to highlight about my course and when I did have any difficulties, I always researched and re read instructions, as well as there was always the UK TEFL tutors to message and they were always helpful.

A suggestion for improvement (if this is not already being done), would be to compile the bulk of queries from us students and refine them down to a core collection of questions and answers.

If I took the course over again, what I would do differently would be to, clarify the questions well, be more methodical in my approach, not overthink things to much – which can zap energy and just trust my knowledge and ability to work things out.

The course content is placed to flow in an order whick makes it much better than constantly going back and forth through the content. The feedback I got for both my assignments really made such a difference and helped me with all the finer details that I had initially overlooked. The Unit on Lesson planning was extremely thorough and the videos really made such a difference. The jobs page has made it that much easier for aspiring tutors to put themselves out there and get noticed, adding to that the assistance with writing a cv and cover letter are extremely helpful.

I can only say that I struggled with making payment but there was someone from student support that assisted me quickly I think it would have been easier if there was a way to do a direct eft.

Regardless my overall experience with the TEFL Academy has definitely been a positive one and I would recommend it to anyone that wishes to persue becoming a TEFL tutor.

I did the Level 3 TEFL certificate. The lessons are very well laid out. The aims and objectives are clear and a variety of learning materials are used to make learning more interesting. Learning was fun, engaging and interactive with a great variety of tasks to consolidate my knowledge. The assignments were challenging, but I was well-equipped to do them, because the guidelines were clear and there were exemplars to help. The feedback on the assignments was thorough and personalised. I also appreciated the great price and bonus courses I received.

What an insightful course. I already have a teaching degree, but this course taught me more about how to teach language in a fun way. The online platform was very simple to navigate and feedback for assignment submissions was very quick. Would definitely recommend doing the TEFL course to teach English.

I am from Russia, and honestly, I had never even thought about taking a TEFL course, nor had I gathered much information about it. I already hold a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and have obtained several international certifications proving my English proficiency. So, I always believed that would be enough to work as an ESL teacher. I’ve always thought that what truly matters is your approach, teaching methods, and attitude toward your students—not just your certifications.

However, I recently spoke with a friend of mine who also happens to be an ESL teacher. He told me about the course and how beneficial it could be for me, as it would help expand my repertoire of class ideas and introduce more effective teaching methods. So, I decided to take it. And it was great!

The content, quality, and support were all excellent. I learned a lot, even as an experienced English teacher with a background in teaching multiple languages. Now, I feel more confident in my teaching than ever before.

In addition, the certification will open doors to new countries for my future career development. I’m incredibly happy and grateful for the course.

I recently completed the TEFL course and couldn’t be more satisfied with the experience. The course was exceptionally well structured, with a clear progression that made even complex topics easy to follow.
