I liked the organization of the course and the structure. My only issue was some of the definitions were hard to understand. For example, “top up processing” and “inductive reasoning”. These terms were explained weirdly in a way I couldn’t understand until I googled the terms and it was explained in a simpler way.

I like that the instructors give feedback. Overall an amazing course!

I found the TEFL course to be an excellent experience overall – the lessons were clear, practical, and thoughtfully designed. What I appreciated the most were the extra resources provided: ready-to-use templates, sample materials, and downloadable content that will be incredibly helpful for future lesson planning. The platform is user-friendly and encourages independent learning. My only small critique would be the public discussion feature, which didn’t feel as useful or professional as the rest of the course.

The TEFL Academy offers an excellent, well structured Level 5 Diploma course, which covers everything a prospective teacher will likely need to learn, before embarking on their teaching career and adventure. The course units were very thorough, with plenty of additional resources provided. Assignments were (for someone like me studying teaching for the first time) reasonably intensive, and demanding, yet manageable and ultimately very rewarding, especially if you put the effort in, as I did. That effort is appropriately rewarded by the markers too.

I would have loved to have had more time actually practising teaching (I took the “Combined” course that featured an in person training day), but given the cost of the course, and other options they offer (such as observed online teaching), there is nothing to complain about.

A course well worth taking, that sets a solid foundation upon which to gain real world teaching experience, and potentially a career, if you enjoy teaching long term.

The 168h level 5 course offered from The TEFL Academy was a super good choice. They offer plenty of materials and add-ons additionally to the course material, which is very thorough.

Overall it was a great experience working through the course and the grading was fast & efficient, offering good tips and ideas for improvement.

I would most likely recommend this course, as I have already done!

I enjoyed the course and found it most valuable for the resources and the lesson planning techniques. I will most definitely refer to and use the resources provided and the further study available. I feel I will go into teaching EFL with everything I need to be successful.

I really enjoyed my experience getting certified through the TEFL Academy. I found the materials to be helpful, interesting, and also challenging. At the beginning of the course, I had no idea how to teach English as a second language. But at the end of the course I felt confident that I could teach! The assignments provided were really useful and the instructor feedback was helpful. The only thing I wish there was more of was practice teaching. Overall, I would highly recommend taking this course.

I truly had a great learning experience with TTA and would strongly recommend them. Despite not having access when I purchased the course at the beginning, the issue was very quickly resolved and I was granted access. An extension to my end date was provided due to this small hiccup. The level of service and support was fantastic with quick turnaround times whenever assistance was needed.

This is a very helpful course if you want to teach English as a foreign language. lt gives you a deeper understanding of English and how to teach it to different students. l love that there is a guide on how to do your CV and cover letter. Real value for your money.

I was very impressed with the quality of the TEFL course, the smooth user experience of flowing through the lessons, the diversity of videos, interactive features, and reading resources… I truly learned a lot, and it was never boring or dull. The assignments allowed me to put the information into practice and get real feedback from real humans, making me feel more prepared to start teaching. Perhaps the best part was all of the resources shared that I can now use when teaching, everything from articles and lesson plan ideas to games websites and AI applications. I haven’t used the Facebook group or connections to other alumni yet, but I know there’s much more information and support I could seek out. Highly recommend!
