The course was overall very engaging and thorough with its content and provided a strong foundation for understanding the fundamentals of teaching English as a foreign language, regardless of your background. I enjoyed the course as I could study at my own pace, the feedback received was excellent and very helpful, even when passing an assignment you still receive feedback on how to make your lessons even better which is great. I feel very confident to take the next step into the classroom, TTA is also great in that there’s plenty of resources to help you secure your first role or paid internship.

The Tefl Academy provided a very useful and resourceful Level 5 course which I would recommend to anyone. The tests and assignments are 100% achievable. And the consultants are extremely helpful. Thank you for everything.

I had a great experience with this course! It was very useful and informative. It covered everything I could think of that is essential for an ESL teacher to know, and so much more I hadn’t even considered. The online format was very easy to navigate and understand, and the additional interactive activities and small quizzes throughout the entire course helped a lot to really solidify what was taught. The resources and tools provided and suggested were also very useful, not only for this course but for my future teaching career as a whole. The assignments were very thorough in testing me on everything that was taught and well presented. The instructions were also clear, and the feedback was very insightful with in-depth commentary. Overall this course gave me great support, lots of ideas for my future lessons, and inspired confidence in my own teaching skills.

Great content, easy to follow and it is tailored to help you get started in your teaching journey. I loved the course. It offers a great selection of contents and practise that make it very easy to follow. The assignments are very thorough, preparing you for what real lesson planning will be like. The course gave me the confidence I needed to get started on this wonderful profession. I am planning to continue with the observed practise course and other complementary courses.

Despite being an online course, the engagement with and feedback received from the TEFL Academy and the level 5 course facilitators made the experience feel like a real classroom. Even after completing the course, correspondence from the TEFL Academy remains friendly, which makes me glad to have been a part of the TEFL experience through the course.

The course itself is very helpful. There was never a shortage of information or examples – from videos to links to additional articles and even examples given by fellow students. The content was also practically oriented, making it easy to visualise how it can be applied in the classroom. Feedback from facilitators on assignments proved incredibly useful and assisted me in improving my understanding and the quality of my work. I started the course doubting my ability to teach English as a foreign language, and completed the course feeling much more confident – the way in which the assignments were structured played a big role in boosting my confidence.

Now that I’ve completed the course, TEFL Academy continues to assist me through their job boards. My overall experience has been very positive, from start to finish.
