I took the Level 5 course. Overall design of the course is organised and comprehensive. Tutor support is timely and useful.

End of unit tests seem a bit too straight forward.

Assigments were challenging. It took me a lot of time to revise, digest, assimilate and consolidate the course materials, as well as to conduct extensive research and stretch my creativity to develop my own teaching materials. It’s pleasing to receive encouraging remarks from markers of assignments.

I did the Level 5 TEFL Certificate. I found it to be quite helpful. The course content was excellent and the assignment feedback was very thorough. I feel much better equipped to teach English since completing the course!

It was harder than I thought, but I suppose that’s a good thing, as it means it’s legit. I feel much more prepared to teach English now.

The only negative was that you kind of needed Microsoft Word to complete the assignments. I downloaded a free version with ads, which worked, but it would be good if they struck a deal to prove Microsoft Office for free whilst doing the course.

Both onsite and online course contents were of a good quality, but the instructions on the web platform were really large and a bit complicated since there were so many instructions and material in different folders that concerned the same task, so it was confusing to try to gather them from all the different places. Otherwise thank you!

There were alot of valuable things that I’ve learnt. Course content was excellent. Support staff have been great as well as the tutors.Assigments were marked in 2 days. Overall ..Great Experience!

I think this an awesome online course. Its great how all the units are broken down and its easy to see your progress. The content is good, something about different types of learners or teaching learners that may have some different things to other students (eg- colour blindness). My assessor was very quick at marking my work and i thought the feedback was very helpful but also nice to read the positives too.

The TEFL course was a great course for learning to teach ESL. I thoroughly enjoyed the content, it taught me a lot more than what was offered at high school. I thought the course content was very detailed and covered a broad range of topics. The small questions and tests throughout the units were great for checking understanding and the end of unit tests were great for summarising the unit’s content and testing knowledge. I found the assignments fun and interesting to complete, the guidance/ instruction could have been more precise as I found the difference between tutors’ feedback, critiques and marking differed quite a bit. One thing I am unsatisfied with is their reply time. I was asked to re-send my ID and complete the survey three times and over a month after I have finished the course with very late responses, as a result, I have still not received my certificate yet.

I am totally satisfied with the Level 5 TEFL Course I have just completed, as it gave me the opportunity to have an extensive insight on the subject of teaching.

I really enjoyed following the lessons and the on demand format worked very well for me.

I found the contents given very interesting and the units were structured in order to provide a clear learning path with contents that had growing complexity.

The assignments were challenging but they allowed me to process and put immediately in practice the information acquired. The feedback given were very thorough and critical as well as motivating.

In my opinion the only downside was not to have a hand book of the course to refer to as well as the bibliography of the extra reading.

I will definitely recomend this course and I really look forward putting in practice what learned so far.

I completed the Level 5 TEFL 168-hours combined Course. I was very pleased with how much material was given. There was also a lot of resources available for further research and reading. Overall the content was engaging and very informative.

Tests at the end of each Unit are relevant to the course materials. The 3-assignments were challenging and I had fun working through them. As long as you follow given instruction, you will be fine and pass them. I passed all 3 assignments with an average grade is MERIT. Detail and critical feedback are given to each assignment. The speed of response from the help-desk was fast at first but seems to be a bit slower in May, 2022, but their feedback / responses to your queries are very good and clear.

This course was very rewarding and I have learned lots of new things from it. The job assistance and resources are invaluable and I can’t wait to start my TEFL journey and travel the world.

I would highly recommend this course to those who are looking for a English teaching position, especially in a non-English speaking countries.

The TEFL Academy Qualif 5 course amply prepares one to teach English as a 2nd language.

As far as the teaching practice is concerned, it was limited to what was contained in the lessons as I never registered for the extra hours for the actual practice. I am considering registering for it.

The lessons cover a lot of ground and it would have been nice to have a course book that I could refer back to. Additionally it would have been nice to actually be able to chat to a lecturer either on Zoom or similar application but they only communicate via email after a ticket has been logged.

The TEFL Academy could also consider having pre-recorded lessons with a lecturer explaining and highlighting various materials in each section.

I highly recommend the course to anyone interested in teaching English as a second language.
