The course is thorough and requires a fair amount of attention and time. The deadline began to creep up on me therefore I paid for a deadline extension before completing the course in November 2021. I appreciate the focus on language teaching methods and authentic classroom tactics. Don’t expect to learn comprehensive English grammar from this course. For that content, you must seek it elsewhere. The three assignments are good practice and I’m glad I completed them. However, they are relatively arduous and require effort. Thankfully, the instructions are included along with a checklist for uploading the work. I only used a TEFL tutor once. I did so in order to obtain clarification on an assignment. The tutor replied with a few hints- copied and pasted from the website which had already left me confused. I simply did the best I could and submitted my work. My main concern when purchasing an online course is the quality of the content. The TEFL course I took provided excellent content about organizing and teaching English to non-native speakers. I was happy with the course. There are tons of references and links in the course to videos, articles, and essays about the subjects covered.

I had a good experience with Level 5 Tefl course. Alot of the content became overwhelming but at the end its all worth it. I now hope to find a job in this field very soon.

I’m already an instructor for some other subject, but this course made me re-think of my teaching method. Now I’m using what I learned in this course for my other teaching also!

After a decision to alter my career path, and having been recommended the course by a friend, I was so happy to have recently completed the TEFL 168 hour course, and found the content and ease of navigation of the course material to be extremely interesting and fulfilling. The tasks were challenging and enjoyable, feedback provided was efficiently delivered and the resource links and good mixture of reading, writing, listening and speaking skills development, were presented very well. As my first course on structured teaching, I feel that it has supplied me with a very strong base from which to kick-off my teaching career.

Completing the TEFL course through The TEFL Academy is a great decision. Having completed the Level 5 course with this company has really equipped me for teaching English to non-English speakers. The content is sound and is covered in a professional and efficient way. The flexibility of the course allows you to complete it in your own time, as well as giving reasonable notice before the course expires. The ability to apply for an extension is also reassuring. With all the different facets of teaching and learning English as covered by the course, I completed it feeling very capable and excited for the doors the TEFL course opens.

I had great fun over this summer just gone completing the Level 5 TEFL course online. It taught me a lot about not just how to go about teaching English grammar to foreign language students, but also about good strategies for classroom management and how to make the most of technology for learning in the language classroom. In addition, the feedback I received from instructors after submitting Assignments A, B and C was always constructive and very useful as it showed me areas I could improve upon in future.

In summary, I feel like I have come away from the course with a good set of skills which will undoubtedly come in handy as I currently intend to pursue a year abroad in France teaching English as a foreign language after I have finished my BA Modern Languages and English Language Degree.

I took the Level 5 TEFL Course with the TEFL Academy in October, 2021. The course is well structured. The platform is easy to use and runs smoothly at all times. The staff and instructors are responsive and supportive. I would say this is the best online course I’ve ever taken.

The TEFL level 5 course was perfect for me this year! This year I took on an internship and I was worried that I would not be able to manage, but this course was extremely well set out, with an abundance of support provided. Personally, I enjoyed the guided independence this course provides. I enjoyed being able to move at my own pace, with active support available whenever I needed it. The student support that TTA provides is extremely helpful (and speedy!). The course also provided extra resources and visual aids, which helped me grasp concepts and tools much quicker. I was a bit nervous for Lesson Planning, but found that there was a range of diverse and in depth examples and tips. I look forward to my TEFL experience and would definitely recommend this course, I feel that anyone can take it on! This course is definitely well priced for everything you are offered.

Before taking the tefl certificate, I was looking for something I could learn and also give me the opportunity to teach and travel abroad, that’s when I came across The TEFL Academy. Doing the 168 hours online course was a very good course that I did, it challenged me in many ways that one has never really been challenged before when it comes to course materials. And not only does it challenge you intellectually, the high level of assistance you get from you online tutors is amazing, the tests are good, activity options they have are good, research topics are really helpful and what the course provides for you to learn is helpful and necessary. And if you feeling like no one is there to help or assist you think again, the tutors are always there and also they respond really fast, along with the high level of helping you understand what you need help with is excellent. Personally I would recommend anyone to do this course, only if you willing to put your time, effort and patience into this course. It is worth the price you pay and you will truly be grateful at the end once you become a certified TEFL Teacher. Thank you TEFL Academy for the opportunity you are truly appreciated.
