TEFL Worldwide Prague offers a 4-week internationally recognised and accredited TEFL course in the enchanting city of Prague.

Our 130-hour TEFL course provides an excellent insight into TEFL approaches and methods, as well as 6 to 8 hours of hands-on teaching practice in real classrooms. The teaching practice during the TEFL course will give you a solid foundation when beginning your first job teaching English abroad.

We will support you before, during and after the course and help you find a teaching job after graduating. You can stay and teach in Prague or teach all over the world. Graduates usually find work 1-2 weeks after the course. We are part of a large language school in Prague, so many graduates come and work for us straight after the course.

The course instruction, staff and resources at TEFL Worldwide Prague is second to none. I wasn’t entirely sure what exactly the course would entail, but as soon as you start it’s crazy-intense and sometimes overwhelming. Fortunately the staff are so supportive and attentive your level and needs, you eventually find your feet and make it through in one piece.

You learn the rudiments of vocab, grammar, phonology and much (really) more. The most exciting part for me however was teaching real EFL/Czech students! It’s a lot fun and it’s interesting to reflect on your progress week-to-week.

Loved the course. Thanks to Kenny/Jasmine for their incredible work and time.

TEFL Worldwide Prague have a reputation for being an excellent, professional and resourceful training provider. Once you start with them, you notice that quickly. The course is very very hard work. It will stress you out no matter how good you are. You will have sleepless nights. The 4 weeks will be exhausting. But for someone like me, it is totally worthwhile. And that is why I would recommend it.

In terms of teacher training, they provide extremely effective resources and techniques for teaching that you probably would not get anywhere else. The course prepares you brilliantly for classroom teaching. During the course, if you want to get a Certificate for Teaching Young Learners (young children), you can get it done on one weekend during the course. That 1-2 day course was very helpful and informative too! You will be far more well-prepared than your future competitors in the labour market. Your trainers, Kenny, Adrian (male) and Adrienne (female), you have possibly 60+ years of teaching experience between them in over 70 countries. Not only that, but they are brilliant teachers and you can learn so much just by watching them. They offer advice in the planning and delivery of lessons and give excellent feedback after each lesson. In terms of tips, help, being assessed and gaining valuable advice, you won’t be better trained elsewhere. When training, you may find it critical, but as I learned it is better to make mistakes then than later and be told why and how it can be improved.

In terms of jobs after, it is so easy to get a teaching job in Prague. TEFL Worldwide Prague have fairs at the end of the course and there is a Facebook page that advertises ESL teaching jobs daily in Prague and elsewhere. There is so much choice available. You can teach classes or 1-1, children or adults, online ($17-30 per hour, a lot in Prague!) or face to face. There are also summer camps anywhere in Europe and elsewhere. There are teaching jobs for everybody available that are tailored to their needs, preferences, style, hours of choice to fit schedule etc. It is great!

In addition, if you want to go elsewhere, there are huge TEFL shortages in so many parts of the world and lots of money to be made, with very little competition, particularly in the Middle East and the Far East. You can live a great life, have an extremely rewarding career and experience, get a Work VISA anywhere, make lifelong and interesting friends, have long holidays, travel a lot, get a nice tan and save more money than in the UK or US. Those are the main reasons why I did this course, and is exactly why I would thoroughly recommend it.

This course does a phenomenal job in preparing their students to be English teachers. They have the entire course down to an exact science. They have an amazing staff who are both very friendly and very helpful. It’s also amazing how much you learn in such a short period of time, the course gave me a lot of confidence to be able to teach full time.

HI! I am a graduate from 2012. I can’t explain how wonderful the course was at helping me become a the teacher I am today! Doors have opened just from the reputation of the course alone. I went back in 2016 and took the Young Learner’s course as well. Prague is amazing and the tour they took us on gave us a great feel for the city and how to get around. The instructor’s are top notch and do all they can to help you. The staff is friendly, and always ready to help. I’ve used the job assistance several times and it has been very useful. I’ve now taught in Taiwan, Turkey, and Albania. As a licensed teacher before this course, I can honestly say the hands on training is exceptionally advantageous. Learning how to teach language in a way that transfers meaning, not just words, is something I have used in all my classes, not just ESL classes. I’ve even met other TEFLWWPrague graduates while out teaching in different countries, and we all agree: BEST CHOICE we could have ever made.

Overall, TEFL Worldwide Prague is a great course. The trainers are very well informed in all the topics of the class. They were always there to answer questions and help with lesson planning. The office staff were extremely friendly and helpful with any questions students had about the Czech Republic. Cheryl was always there to help with any questions about doctors, CVs, jobs, housing, etc. In general, the staff made all of the students feel welcome and comfortable!

This course was definitely challenging, but it was doable. It was a stressful four weeks, but it made you feel confident as an ESL teacher upon graduation. I have met some great people throughout the course and have learned a lot of useful information to use when teaching in the future.

I would recommend this course to anyone looking to take a TEFL course because you learn so much while getting to spend four weeks in beautiful Prague!

Tefl worldwide was a good experience. I learned how to teach through lessons, observations, and practice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The program itself was good, although there were times I felt the school was just trying to teach the 120 hour minimum for the certificate rather than teaching new material. The course focused on teaching in schools, but there was hardly any guidance for individual teaching, test prep, or teaching children. I found myself struggling to teach children and my individual students after competing the course. My group classes however were a breeze. I wish the children’s workshop was included in the course rather than being extra, and I wish there were opportunities to observe children’s classes. Knowledge about English exams would have been helpful, too.

All in all, it was a good course, with not too much outside homework. I felt like I learned much from the experience.

A very worthwhile experience, especially if you plan on staying in Prague to teach. However, the program offers a variety of job guidance all around the world. The staff was always friendly and accommodating–they want you to succeed. The course can be very stressful at times but it prepares you for life as an ESL teacher. Highly recommend!

This course was even better than I ever hoped it could be. It was cost effective when compared to similar programs back home and this course has the added benefit of spending a month in Prague. The course was very informative, I had no idea everything involved with teaching English as a foreign language. The instructors were very helpful and gave meaningful feedback to our teaching practice. Before the course was finished, I already had a job lined up. Everyone in this program was wonderful and I know that I’ve made connections for years to come.
