Overall very good. A very competent and friendly instructor, the course content was great, I just felt the teaching practice was a bit rushed. Would definitely recommend the course though!

Really enjoyed the online practice course. Our tutor Arthur was very knowledgeable, friendly and approachable. We learned a lot about online teaching in such a short space of time including how to use zoom to it’s full potential to create interactive and engaging lessons. I enjoyed sharing and watching the lessons of the other students where we were being given pointers to improve where it was needed. I felt at ease to ask any questions I had when I needed to.

I would like to have done more practice lessons, maybe the course could be extended for another day, just to get more into the swing of things.

The online course with Simon was great, as a teacher he kept us engaged throughout and presented the lesson clearly and efficiently in stages throughout. He lead it smoothly and it was very interactive which helped me get a better and deeper understanding of the ways, ideas and concepts of teaching students.

Also how to create and present different styles of lesson plans. Simon is a down to earth guy and I liked the way he carried the lesson, which helped create a good environment for learning as I didn’t have any reservations about getting involved and answering questions. Great constructive feedback throughout the course and after the lessons I lead. He also helped me stay on track and gave me advice to help me create a lesson plan when I was unsure before I taught it to the class! I have already used a presentation to my students that I created in this course and it has already been very effective for my online teaching career!

The instructor (Simon) was fantastic and had a real passion for education. I learnt and practiced new skills and gained confidence for a possible future career.

Simon was an excellent trainer on the weekend course. His friendly outgoing approach eased the nerves for many and he was able to bring a good dose of humour to the sessions. His wealth of experience in teaching (combined with his approachability) was a great source of information for our myriad of questions.

The feedback was kind yet constructive and he took nerves and technical issues into consideration. I’ve walked away understanding what I need to do, and feeling more confident in teaching because of Simon, and the weekend course.

My only gripe with Tefl.org is that there some pretty serious spelling and grammatical mistakes peppered throughout the various courses I took. This could really do with an editor running through again.

I felt that some of the feedback could have been better. I agonized over the courseworks and received little in the way of constructive feedback; receiving a template and a basic ‘good’ comment.

Overall, I am happy to have completed this with TEFL and I would recommend this course to anyone thinking of teaching English abroad.

I signed up for TEFL only a couple of weeks prior to the Virtual online course I took this past weekend. I really wish I had been informed/ understood that the virtual online two day course with Simon should have been the last part of my 120 hour course!

I had no experience nor understanding of the leanrt modules prior to these lessons so it was really difficult to follow the heavy load of work and practices and techniques etc without having done any training.

This should really only be a round-up/ end of course recap as otherwsie it was a a bit wasteful of my time and the teachers who was covering bases I had no idea about yet.

I would like to say a huge thank you to Simon French for a superb weekend online course. You made us all feel very relaxed and guided us expertly through two very full but rewarding days.

It was great to have other TEFL students to practise on (no children came to harm during our lessons 🤣) and I’m sure everyone learned so much from watching the lessons- good and especially the bad.

For me, it really helped to have finished all of the other course beforehand. I would recommend it.

Until we’re out of lockdown, I’m going to try my online lessons out on my son’s friends here in Normandy, can’t wait!

Huge thank you to Alen for organizing a replacement teacher on such a short notice and a mega thank you to Simon for giving up his week-end to teach us lot. The pace of the course was perfect, as well as the explanations and the very constructive feedback. Simon brings online classes really to life and makes learning fun! Personally I would have appreciated short 10 min. breaks every hour on the first day, the second day being easier. Having said that , time flew by and I hope to “see” Simon again one day in another great course.

Just finished my TELF combined course and it was brilliant. I have learned so much and really feel confident to go out and start teaching now. Course layout was excellent with quizzes to test knowledge and worthwhile assignments. Feedback was always constructive which helped a lot. The 4 day virtual classroom was amazing, the tutor, Elizabeth, was great- again providing brilliant feedback and made the sessions very enjoyable. Would definitely recommend. Really can’t find any faults with it- the web site was easy to use and when ever I had any questions the chat function was always answered fast and by an actual human. They also offer support with CV too (free) which I found useful. 10/10
