Michelle was really good.

Her teaching was very clear and made us think outside the box when teaching at different levels.

I have already recommended my family and friends to attend.

Michelle’s teaching has made me enthusiastic and confident to teach English abroad.

This course has enabled me to start steps in making the career change I need.

The course overall was great. Initially, I was very nervous and not looking forward to it. This changed within being there for less than hour. Everyone was welcoming and in the same position which made it easier to talk. Iona was very professional, welcoming and has a huge knowledge of teaching and TEFL. I enjoyed the course thoroughly and look forward to learning more things.

I very much enjoyed the TEFL classroom course in Manchester and believe that the interactive nature of the teaching from our very personable tutor Iona really made it a valuable experience.

I came away with a good appreciation of how to structure a lesson plan and a better understanding of why certain elements of planning a lesson are key to ensuring that learning happens.

The content of the course was varied and original, even including a beginners lesson in Catalan(!), and provided ample opportunity for participants to reflect on their teaching practice and think about how they could have improved on certain things.

I would wholeheartedly recommend the course to anyone considering studying for a TEFL qualification.

Great course, made by Iona as our tutor. She was a fun, knowledgeable and realistic teacher, and make the course feel very personal and beneficial for everyone included. All questions were met with complete and relevant responses, with extra info given to give responses to questions we didn’t know we even had.

Great course, will be recommending to anyone in sight.

Simon was the tutor for those two-days training, he is really helpful about this course. I do believe online course is not enough for learning TEFL, and I learned a lot from Simon’s practices. It was hard to learn that much in two days but he tried his best to help me understand the key point.

Simon was an excellent teacher who gave us very constructive feedback throughout all the tasks we did, as well as being extremely helpful by giving us useful resources for the start of our career as TEFL teachers. I have learned a lot on the weekend which I would not have had if I hadn’t done the weekend course. I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and would recommend it to everyone!

Simon has a great energy in the classroom, and his passion for teaching was clear from the very first moment. His explanation of tasks was well communicated and easily understood within the classroom of native and non-native speakers. I do not have any cons or negative feedback to give to Simon.

I greatly enjoyed my weekend class with Simon, and now I am even more excited to starting my ESL job!

My experience of the TEFL classroom course was a very positive one. Our instructor Simon was an engaging, patient and informative teacher, full of tips, and often comical anecdotes of his teaching experiences. I felt at ease very quickly in class, and thanks to the warmers at the beginning of the course, got to know the others on the course quickly. This enabled us all to feel comfortable speaking up, asking questions and participate fully. I think if I was to do the course again, I would have found it beneficial to have already completed the online grammar section of the course, so I could concentrate solely on the methods of teaching, rather than getting my head around the content of the lesson. I feel like I now have a strong understanding of how to structure and plan a lesson, how to manage my students, and how student’s abilities are assessed. The course allowed me to build confidence and feel encouraged in my abilities. Going forwards, I have access to many tools and resources, such as helpful websites and books, that I believe will enhance my future career in teaching.

Simon was extremely thorough and knowledgeable. He made the weekend incredibly enjoyable as well as informative. I have nothing negative to say as I feel like he really helped us to get into the teaching frame of mind and start to make us challenge traditional views of teaching language.

Simon was a fantastic teacher, very engaging and TEFL Tastic!

He kept the energy in the room very high and allowed us to learn, ask questions and have the perfect amount of breaks and moments of rest.

Simon read the class very well and understood us and our needs. He tailored the lesson to our abilities and I noted some of his assistance differed depending on the individual, this was done in a supportive manner.

Just want to say a huge thank you to TEFL for providing us this great teacher, I truly learnt so much in these lessons.

The only downfall is it being over so soon. I would have loved to have more lessons with Simon and the class!
