The TEFL certificate course at TEFL Campus in Phuket, Thailand exceeded my expectations in every way.

The location is central, attracting a large number of local Thai students to populate our “training classes.” The facilities are comfortable and provide access to everything that we need as trainee teachers, such as student workbooks, office supplies, classrooms, and workspace.

The instructors were fantastic and incredibly generous with their feedback. Their experience is obvious and their attention to detail is remarkable. They were professional, dedicated, approachable, and always a pleasure to interact with.

The career support was an unexpected bonus for me. The director devoted a great deal of time providing guidance with CV production and perfection, job support (in Thailand and globally), and led many of the classroom sessions.

I am very happy that I chose to study with TEFL Campus Phuket. No online course could compare with holding the reins as an actual teacher in an actual classroom and having the live guidance of an experienced teacher during lesson planning. I feel confident to start teaching, and I learned plenty about how to build upon my own study methods, presentation skills and about encouraging the potential of others.

The four week TEFL course at TEFL Campus was great! I did a lot of research looking into what TEFL course to take and this was my pick! I am very happy it was my choice. The program was very informative. The staff helped in every way they were allowed. They had great advice for the class and for outside Thai environment questions.

The onsite teaching was one of the best experiences! Not only did it prepare me more for lesson planning and teaching but it was also fun. =)

Teaching Thai students was a lot of fun and they appreciate what you do. It was very rewarding.

I am very excited that TEFL Campus provides ongoing job support. It will come in handy if you need it.

I highly recommend TEFL Campus for those who want to become teachers!

TEFL Campus provides an excellent opportunity to prepare yourself for teaching internationally. Eric and Simon do an exceptional job of creating a learning atmosphere that is both challenging and rewarding. Their individually tailored lesson planning guidance and feedback is especially helpful because it allows each student to progress at a place that is appropriate to their own abilities. I really couldn’t have asked for a better course I or learning opportunity than what was provided by TEFL Campus.

I left the course with the feeling that my money was well spent. That was one of my main concerns as I literally journeyed around the world to the Phuket campus. The instructors where highly competent, brilliant individuals that pushed me to becoming a greater teacher. I appreciate what I have learned and was humbled by the incredibly challenging content through out the course. If the course was too easy and the instructors lax on their duties, I would have felt cheated. Fortunately, that was not the case. Some of the instructors did not always present themselves as approachable as one would’ve hoped, but that did not negate the value of the course or their capability to relate the information that we needed to succeed. I was told that some students did feel so uncomfortable that they did not ask follow up questions (fearing they were bothersome), which could’ve hindered them from gaining understanding of some content. I have already recommended this course to two associates that are interested in acquiring a TEFL certificate.

A suggestion for future course would be to have a session that focused specifically on resume building and creating a portfolio to bring to the interview. Not just a session on what should you bring and wear, but an actual session where we gather all the forms we would take to the interview so that it can be ready. All we would need to add is the TEFL cert at the end. I found myself doing this on my own after the course ended. That, along with printing out our resumes would be a great benefit and falls in line with job assistance.

Another suggestion would be to stress how imperative it is to begin studying after every class. I felt as though it was told to us, but not enough for it to actually stick. We were told to explore Phuket, have fun, and use the last weekend to study.

One more suggestion would be to have 2/3 mock exams. one after the grammer portion is complete and another when phonology is completed. Then perhaps one more the Monday before the Wednesday exam ( or however the day falls in the week)

The training and support provided at the TEFL Campus in Phuket, Thailand was outstanding. I have been a teacher for many years, but have no experience in teaching English. When I came upon the idea of teaching English as a foreign language I knew that I needed a base of knowledge and skill sets that were beyond my experience. This course provided both. It was highly challenging and rewarding. The ESA approach to teaching embraced by the TEFL Campus is sound, and conducive to natural learning.

The instructors are competent and supportive. They presented all information in a clear, organized fashion, which made it possible to assimilate it all at a gradual, steady pace.

The facility is clean, comfortable and well maintained, and the support staff are friendly and helpful. While doing the practice teaching, it was nice to have access to students who are at a variety of learning levels, and who are willing to learn from practice teachers.

I am quite pleased with my experiences and with my new TEFL certification, and highly recommend this program for anyone who would like to pursue a career in teaching English abroad.

Overall a great course, suited to people with or without prior teaching experience.

The instructors were fantastic. Their experience is invaluable in helping students become comfortable in teaching their own classes and their deep knowledge of the course content was hugely beneficial in helping students to learn some of the more difficult concepts. All instructors provided ongoing support and feedback whether it be in relation to your teaching, job search or general understanding of course content.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming and there is a good atmosphere on campus – including from the students that come to the campus for their English lessons.

This course definitely gives you the base skills and experience necessary to pursue teaching EFL wherever you choose to do so.

Wonderful course and training. I am an experienced teacher (high school and university levels) from the United States and I wanted to take a hands-on certification course for TEFL/TESOL because I wanted to learn SPECIFICALLY how to teach English as a foreign or second language. The instruction, expectations, lesson planning and teaching experiences far surpassed my expectations and I feel so much more prepared than I would have been without this knowledge and experience. I realized that even though I have experience teaching, I had ZERO experience teaching EFL, and it definitely matters. The instructors are experienced, knowledgeable, helpful and they hold students to high expectations and standards. TEFL Campus Phuket was a great experience; and, if you are considering a new career in EFL teaching, you will be very well prepared by this course.

If you’re looking for a TEFL course which actually prepares you to teach abroad, I couldn’t recommend TEFL Campus enough. The course instructors were incredibly knowledgeable, and offered professional and valuable teaching advice. They were very supportive, and provided comprehensive job, visa, and cultural assistance every step of the way.

I took the combined version of this course, which consisted of an online portion and a condensed two weeks of onsite teacher training. While this option was the best for me, be aware that this option is very intensive and involves teaching six observed lessons in quick succession. While I felt that TEFL Campus adequately prepared me for this course load, it may be a more challenging option for some.

The highlight of this course was its opportunity to practice teaching in a real classroom environment with actual students. As someone who was initially concerned about my teaching abilities, I can definitely say that TEFL Campus improved both my teaching skills and my confidence in the classroom.

I had a lovely time during my 4 week course at TEFL Campus in Phuket, Thailand. Stressful and challenging at times but rewarding in the end.

The onsite teaching practice with local Thai students with different levels of English was a great way to introduce us to the experience of being a teacher. To receive confirmation of understanding from these students from something that I had just taught them was a great feeling.

Great knowledgeable instructors who were always available for support and assistance when needed. Course material was extensive and well set out but could do with a few more work sheets to confirm understanding of grammar and phonology to help with practicing for the exam.

Will defiantly be taking advantage of job support down the track when I need to update my CV or to hear about job and extension course opportunities.

I will be recommending TEFL Campus Phuket to other aspiring English language teachers. Cheers

I truly enjoyed and appreciate the time I spent studying and working towards my TEFL certificate with TEFL Campus in Phuket, Thailand.

The facility is very nice and certainly met all of my needs as a student. It is clean and has a small kitchen area. There are several restaurants and shops and food stalls nearby. The campus has several different areas for dining, studying, or just hanging out with our classmates.

The instructors were fantastic. I felt secure in their knowledge of the subject matter and their competency in teaching me to teach. They worked hard to make sure we all understood the course material and modeled the teaching methods effectively.

The administrative staff is kind and helpful in every way. They are pleasant and friendly and always have an answer to questions or at least resources to find the answers.

I am very happy that I took the opportunity to come to this campus. I have already and will continue to recommend TEFL Campus Phuket/Chiang Mai to my friends who are considering teaching.
