Description

SEE’s accredited TEFL certification in Chiang Mai, Thailand provides internationally-recognized TEFL training with 6 hours of observed teaching practice in real schools.

In addition, trainees receive basic Thai instruction, cultural awareness training and answers to all the how-do-I questions trainees have living in Thailand.

SEE TEFL is now in its 14th year of TEFL Teacher Training with 2,000+ TEFL graduates from 40+ countries on 6 continents.

SEE graduates range in age from 18 to 70 but are usually aged between 22 and 50 years old. Typical classes have a mix of males and females from a variety of countries and backgrounds.

Our graduates teach English as a Foreign Language across Thailand and throughout the world. We strive to provide a useful and effective TEFL teacher training program.

In addition, our organization also hires dozens of English teachers every year for placement in schools throughout Chiang Mai and Northern Thailand.

SEE TEFL offers a standard TEFL course and a Paid Internship with Teacher Training.

I took my TEFL Certification course with SEE TEFL and found their approach to training very suitable for teaching ESL in SE Asia. The practice courses were varied in both age and student level and prepared me for language center work after I moved to Vietnam. I feel that their library of ESL books was limited at the time but this was before they moved to their new facilities. SEE TEFL has also been helpful years after completing my certification, offering advice and responding to inquiries in a timely manner. While I haven’t taken any other courses to compare it to, I had no problem recommending it to friends from home who were considering coming over to teach English.

SEE TEFL is an excellent school and honestly, one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Moving to a new country to teach can be scary, but SEE TEFL does a good job of acclimating its students not only to the course, but to the culture. It is a very intensive course but it is packed with information about classroom management, lesson planning, and most importantly, how to teach to English language learners. I would recommend SEE TEFL’s onsite course if you really want to immerse yourself in the culture and build relationships with fellow teachers. The observed teaching practices allowed me to feel confident going into demo lessons. I’ve been teaching at a private school in Thailand for two years now and I couldn’t have done it without SEE TEFL.

The 4 week SEE TEFL programme in Chiang Mai I couldn’t recommend highly enough. It was an excellent learning experience with fantastic teaching, detailed and thorough course content and excellent opportunities. As a primary school teacher I had high expectations and was worried I might not get that much out of it, but I couldn’t have been ,ore wrong. The grammar inputs were excellent and clear and the simplicity and repeated examples of the 3 Ps structure has helped me to understand that I can plan and deliver effective lessons from s basic template, whilst also having freedom to be creative. The teachers were lovely and always on point with patience and kindness to help with any questions. My partner was also doing the course and he has no degree or teaching experience and felt equally as well supported and informed. Resources were good and we depended on the computers there, it was never a problem for us to get a computer but because the planning area is small it sometimes could be busy or crowded. The lesson observations were good and feedback was detailed and constructive. However, due o the fact we were there in the school summer holidays we had limited opportunities to teach at a variety of different schools and had I known that I might have picked a different month to take the course in. Having said that, we still had the opportunity to teach a real range of abilities, it was just that class sizes were usually small. Thanks so much team for the wonderful opportunity and hopefully all of the experiences this will lead to in the future.

SEE TEFL’s strength is the quality and dedication of it’s instructors. The trainers went out of their way to make certain that students questions were answered. They made themselves available via email after hours, and they left no doubt that they wanted to help you be the best teacher you could possibly be. This is not just a business. John and his staff genuinely care about the quality of teacher they turn out from their school and the students they will ultimately teach. It was a privilege to be a student at SEE TEFL. If I were forced to provide a criticism for the sake of a balanced review, I might mention that the learning pace is fast and the instructors do not slow down their lessons if you cannot keep up. However, if you approach them outside of class, they will do all they can to get you up to speed.

The four-week TEFL programme which SEE TEFL provides was absolutely perfect for me. The first two weeks provided accessible, yet in-depth and rigorous theoretical training. Furthermore, the six observed teaching practices in the second half of the course are excellently run. They provide consistent feedback and support, ensuring that all trainees are ready to become confident and inspiring teachers. The Thai lessons provided by Ying also offer crucial insight into what it’s like to be a second language learner. All in all, the programme is excellently composed and great value for money. Thank you so much to John, Ying and the team!

Do not go past SEE TEFL as the most comprehensive and recognised accredited TEFL course in northern Thailand.

The course is not an attendance course and you will not get through if you do not put in the time and effort required, especially for the 6 Observed Teaching Practices that occur at real Thai schools with real school children and young adults.

SEE TEFL is owned and run by John and Ying and supported by outstanding teaching and support staff. None better than Senior TEFL Trainer Shouvik who made himself available 24/7 for any issues that students may have had. Both John and Shouvik are two of the best instructors you will ever meet.

This course will give you the confidence to teach English as a second language no matter where you are in Thailand or elsewhere. Everything on this course was first rate. I used my own IT and I strongly recommending that participants being their own laptop with MS Office (particularly the latest version of Word). You will better manage your time if you have your own laptop rather than rely on school computers.

I really recommend this course. Really proffessional teachers and the facilities are really good. From the first moment you walk in the classroom you feel really welcome and relaxed. They also help you to get a job after the course. I doubt that there is any better tefl course in Thailand so if you are thinking about doing a tefl course in Thailand, choose this one!

Initially, I chose SEE TEFL based on the price, the six observed teaching practices, and the amazing location of Chiang Mai. Beginning with the amazing Visa assistance from John, I got so much more than I ever expected.

The course is very well designed and thoroughly prepares you for a variety of teaching settings. The instructors are very knowledgeable and are always available if you have questions or concerns. John and Ying really care about training quality teachers and it shows. I don’t think you can find the kind of support and guidance that they provide in any other TEFL program. The coordination of the six observed teaching practices was excellent and they were definitely attractive things to have on my resume when applying for jobs.

I began this program feeling completely out of my comfort zone, but at the end of the course I left feeling confident in myself and I had some amazing new friends. I feel so lucky for having chosen this program and tell everyone I know that this is the TEFL program to do. Thank you again to everyone at SEE TEFL for having such a positive impact on my career change and my life!

I have taken the course 4 years ago. The teachers are fantastic and the program is excellent. I got a job two days later through them after finishing the course and have been working in the same school ever since. I also know a lot of teachers who did the course and all of them have a job. Even after 4 years their door is always open if you need some help or advice. I totally recommend SEE-TEFL if you want to teach in Thailand.

SEE TEFL is truly an amazing program. I took the course October 2016 and couldn’t be any happier with my decision! From the very beginning, John and his staff were very helpful. I had 1,000 questions and was a bit nervous signing up for a course when I was still in the US. John skyped with me and answered all of my questions and made me feel very at ease with going forward with the program. He made the transition going to Thailand seamless. The course is no cake walk and you have to be very dedicated to the course, but I learned so much during my time at SEE. All the staff is helpful and willing to guide you and they teach you everything that’s necessary to be a successful teacher in Thailand and abroad. The skills I learned are invaluable and have helped me further my career as an English teacher. Their kindness has extended beyond the course with job placement and recommendations. I highly recommend this course to anyone looking to obtain a TEFL certificate. Thanks John, Ying, Kellie Ann, Shouvik and the countless others!
