It was an extraordinary experience to participate in this course! Difficult some times because there is a lot to learn and the course is intensive, but to finish it was really rewarding, I feel now prepare to continue the path I chose, so thank you for all the knowledge you share, feedback and dedication. Thank you for being available to help when I needed you and for creating an effective learning area for new teachers.

My time at Oxford House Barcelona was well spent. Teaching English was the means to living in Spain for 1-2 years in Spain, but during my time in the certification course I discovered a genuine interest in teaching. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the facilities are fully stocked and designed well, and the program itself is comprehensive and effective at providing students the skills necessary to become a qualified English teachers. The course itself is very intense with regards to time management, but covers a wide range of important topics (phonology, grammar, teaching methods, etc.). The teaching practice is one of the most important aspects of this course and it allows you to engage with real students and practice the skills you have learned. By the end of the course I felt much more confident in the classroom and had a stronger foundation for teaching. I was able to find a very good job within several days of submitting my resume to Oxford House’s Career Services. Overall it was a very positive experience and would strongly recommend Oxford House to anyone seeking a job (short or long term) in English teaching.

It has been an undoubtedly intense but rewarding four weeks. Oxford house has been really amazing in providing support and feedback in all aspects.

Firstly as a non-Eu student (I am from Trinidad and Tobago) I came on a student visa and there was great help in this aspect. From finding me a suitable host to providing assistance in the process of registering my Spanish address (empadronamiento), getting a NIE appointment and writing your TEFL CV. There was support every step of the way from the respective officers.

Secondly, the course director and tutors were never too busy to provide advice or listen to your concerns when it came to lesson planning or course assignments. Do not be afraid to ask for help, we all at some point had our worries and frustrations but the support from tutors, staff, and not to mention your course mates will surely comfort and reassure you.

Thirdly, you will see yourself flourish. You are equipped with all the tools needed to plan an effective lesson and all the tools to prepare said lesson. Your tutors and peers will provide you with positive feedback as well as constructive criticism. Use this to your advantage.

Have no worries, if you are skeptical just do it. Why? Because growth as an individual and a teacher is guaranteed. Not to mention the support.

There will be sleepless nights but its all worth it with the wealth of knowledge and experience you acquire in the process. 🙂

Lastly, the career officer is there to provide guidance and assistance even after the course as it is a lifelong service.

This is one of the best decisions I made for myself.The course is really intense and one does have to work hard but it pays off at the end:-) It’s very well laid-out.The tutors, teaching practice and the one on one feedback sessions were the highlights of the course.The non-teaching staff were of great help too. They’re there to make things easier and convenient for you.I have learnt so much in the span of 4 weeks.This course definitely opens doors for those looking forward to gaining experience and knowledge in the field of ELT.

Do yourself a favour and get registered ASAP 🙂

I am definitely happy with choosing OxfordTEFL. It’s been both a challenging and fantastic experience. The teachers were always open to help, patient and motivating through it all. The course was intensive and it was a lot of work but with the amount of support and resources, the course is absolutely achievable. I also applied for their student housing– another feature I had no complains about. We had everything we needed and if any issues arised, the staff would be quick to fix it. I would recommend this program to anyone interested in teaching, traveling and diving into a unique, enchanting and beautiful culture.

I’ve found the Oxford TEFL to have been worth every penny. Teachers are constantly available and ready to help out with whatever it is you’re struggling with. The course is very intensive but extremely well put together; every single piece of work you do directly aids you to become a (better) teacher.

Oxford House Barcelona offers an amazing 4 week TEFL course. The course in hands on with you teaching basically right off the bat! Very experienced and friendly teachers helped us through this intense course but the knowledge gained was worth it. One month out and I already found a full time teaching job!

I completed the TEFL course at Oxford over the Summer and it has been one of the best things I could’ve done for my career. The tutors at this school are fantastic and so supportive. If myself or any of the other students had any problems, they were always available to help. The course is intense but at the end of it I felt ready for anything my new job could throw at me. This course has helped me really improve as a teacher and helped me gain a lot of confidence. The school’s location is so convenient and the staff found myself and the other student’s accommodation nearby which eased a lot of my stress. If you are thinking of completing a TEFL course I couldn’t recommend this more.

The month-long intensive course at OxfordTEFL Barcelona was amazing and challenging. It was a great experience to have had to step out of my comfort zone and do something I’ve not ever done before; with the most skilled and knowledgeable tutors and instructors there to guide me and help me do the best I can. Aside from the extensive amount of work and study I was exposed to during that month, it was an absolute privilege to have been able to watch those teachers gently guide relevant knowledge into the minds of students. Those same teachers have equipped me with the skills to be able to teach a class full of students, and had always been supportive and helpful; readily providing ideas for future lessons. The input sessions were extremely useful as well, as I’d learnt things that, as a native speaker, I would never have had to dissect until now. Great school, great location, amazing teachers, and fantastic lesson flow for trainees. I would recommend the TESOL certificate with OxfordTEFL Barcelona any day!
