Oxford Seminars has been instrumental in preparing me for my journey abroad since day one. Upon receiving confirmation of my placement abroad, I expressed heartfelt gratitude to my instructor for her invaluable guidance and teachings. While the video course provided a solid foundation, the online components and the comprehensive sourcebook enriched my learning with a wealth of useful information, resources, and lesson-planning strategies for becoming a proficient ESL teacher.

Following graduation from the course, my placement advisor has been incredibly supportive, assisting me in connecting with recruiters worldwide and attentively considering my preferences for teaching location and duration. I am deeply thankful to know that my placement advisor will remain accessible via email for the duration of my international teaching journey.

This course, combined with my background in ESL teaching and degree, has significantly propelled me into an exciting lifelong journey that I had not initially envisioned. Nevertheless, I am grateful for every step that has led me to this path and for the invaluable help, support, and encouragement from the Oxford Seminars team!

An excellent pathway to becoming a certified TESL teacher. The online practicum rivalled any that I took part in to receive my Bachelor of Education. Our instructor was supremely knowledgeable, patient, and approachable. I will recommend this course to anyone I know is thinking about teaching English as a second language. I am looking forward to enrolling in a specialization module (or two).

The Oxford Seminars TESOL course was both extensive and intensive, which made it very thorough. Even though my course was online, my teacher was excellent and made our lesson days interesting and fun. My teacher was passionate about teaching English and providing an abundance of resources to our class. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn to teach English.

My second teacher that I finished classes with was by far one of the best teachers I have ever had. The assignments were so much fun to present, and to listen to other students. Our teacher explained everything just perfect. Plenty of information, very detailed, easy to grasp and plenty of wonderful examples. I had a lot of fun and met tons of great people in class. At first I was worried about the cost, but it seems as if it is worth it compared to some other TEFL courses.

As a French teacher, I’m glad I took the ESL Certificate at Oxford, because not only it has allowed me to wear the shoes of my native English speaker students, in the way they have learned their L1, but it also has provided me with different perspectives of teaching from around the world.

The Oxford Seminars course is the real deal. I took the course years ago and never had a chance to apply it until now. When I contacted Oxford Seminars for a reprint of my certificate, they also referred me to one of their placement specialists, Rowan. He was so helpful in helping me apply to teaching positions in Costa Rica. Oxford Seminars helps you kraft your resume and cover letter, and then submits them to schools they work with. Rowan also followed up on my behalf and provided encouragement throughout the process. In the end, I received an offer from a reputable language school in my city in Costa Rica! I highly recommend Oxford Seminars to anyone interested in traveling and working as an ESL/EFL teacher!

I was TESOL certified in 2019 through Oxford Seminars and couldn’t say enough good things about the course and my instructor.

I haven’t left to teach yet, however my placement advisor has made my job search and preparation to leave so much smoother than if I tried to do it myself. He made job applications easy by recommending specific locations for a first-time teacher abroad, and then sent my resume/application for me to different schools. He was full of amazing resources specific to where I lived on how to prepare myself and my documents to apply for a visa. I am so thankful for my placement advisor that made a possibly super stressful process easy and flawless.
