Ninja Teacher was founded in 2013 and has grown to be a leading TEFL education company. We train and graduate over 100 English teachers per year and help them to secure employment teaching English in countries around the world or online.

We offer online and in-country TEFL training and job placement programs.

Ninja Teacher Academy offers an internationally recognized, 4-Week 150 Hour TEFL / TESOL training and certification in Vietnam that equips you with the skills, confidence and certificate needed to become an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher in countries across the globe. The course is conducted in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City in District 1! After completing your TESOL training and certification we assist you with securing employment in a paid position in Vietnam.

The 120-hour self-paced online TEFL course will equip you with the skills, knowledge and certificate needed to get a job and start earning an income in countries around the world or online.

This program is outstanding and of great monetary value. It is the most complete package I could find for assistance with everything to get you set up in Vietnam. The entire team truly cares about your success and takes any feedback very seriously. They are not out to rush many classes through for the sake of profit. Even while the TEFL course was going on they were constantly working with each other to improve the quality of the product. The owner, Alex, went out of his way to make every student feel welcome to the school. He would even take us out to have group lunches during the course and introduce us to the local area around the academy. They assist with flights, accommodation, the actual TEFL course, job placement, and assistance with setting up housing and legal paperwork for immigration. I trust that they will continue to expand in the future and am confident in their placement process. I finished the course with multiple quality job offers. They are dedicated to your career in TEFL and ESL. Of all the schools I researched I would place them in the top 10%.

It’s a very intensive course for the first 3 weeks. After that it’s heavy on job prep and professional development. The methodology is extremely useful. You will definitely have a solid foundation to begin teaching. I wasn’t surprised how sought after trainees from the program are during the last week when recruiters came in to pitch their schools. It is a truly professional training course. I would strongly recommend it to people looking to teach in Vietnam. It is a rigorous course but you will walk away with a valuable skill set and connections.

I had an awesome experience with Ninja Teacher. For me it’s a great program because you get to meet a bunch of wacky random people, challenge yourself and learn a lot, and pretty much have a big ass foot in the door at any teaching center in Saigon when you’re done. The support from Ninja is consistent throughout the experience and the teacher trainers really know what they’re talking about. It’s an investment for sure, but if you are serious about giving teaching a go and want to stay in Saigon, it’s 100% worth it.

Ninja teacher was a great experience for my classmates and I. Miranda was a great help, getting me prepared for my move overseas. The trainers John and Sadie both have a ton of experience and provide insightful feedback on your observations and solo teaching. Chi helped me through every step of job placement and has a ton of insight on living in Vietnam.

After years of simmering on the idea of enrolling in Ninja Teacher TEFL Academy and teaching English in Vietnam, I have pulled the trigger and started the journey in April of 2023. I am so glad that I did. The team has been so helpful and lovely, it really made my experience in Vietnam that much more incredible. Alex has been responsive from the start of our initial conversation. Miranda helped answer all questions related to settling in Vietnam and making sure we have everything we need. Our trainer, John, came in each day with an amazing, positive attitude with excellent energy teaching us the Ninja ways of being a phenomenal English teacher. Chi assisted in securing me a job immediately, worked diligently scheduling us for all observations and real life teaching during the course. After less than a month of graduating with the TEFL certificate, I landed a job at ILA in end of May and will be teaching my first class this week in JUNE! This is with no prior teaching experience. This academy has been truly consistent and they have built a magnificent teacher community for us to be like family. I felt welcome from day one and everyone has been super friendly. Cannot ask for more, thank you Ninja Teacher TEFL Academy! I am excited to see everyone here continue to thrive, change Vietnam and other countries through education for the better.

So thankful that I chose Ninja Teacher when moving to Vietnam. The four-week in-person course is excellent with regular opportunities to put teaching techniques into practice from the get-go. The teacher trainers have a huge wealth of experience in this industry and provide regular and thorough feedback and support.

Outside of the classroom, Ninja Teacher’s relationships with schools and language centres allowed us to go and observe professional EFL teachers teaching real classes, and solo teach three classes ourselves. I think this experience has been invaluable to the beginning of my TEFL career and helped me transition to my current teaching role with confidence.

At the end of the four weeks Ninja Teacher provides one-on-one support with the job application process and, as such a reputable programme, language centres hold a certificate from Ninja Teacher in high esteem.

On top of the professional support, I think what makes Ninja Teacher unique from other programmes is the sense of community it provides. I came to Vietnam all on my own and scared, but through daily classes and alumni meet-ups I quickly found myself surrounded by friends. I would highly recommend to anyone.

From the start to the very end, the staff are there to help you in every possible way. If you are looking for a good course to become a fully qualified English teacher, this is the course you’re looking for.

If you’re wanting to start your journey as a TEFL teacher, I don’t believe you could find a better place to start than with Ninja. Firstly, they really care about their students and that shows in many ways. Second, the content of the course will give you the skills you need. Never at any point of the course did I wonder why I was learning what I was. It was always more, ‘right, I definitely need to know this I’m glad I’m finding this out now’. If anyone is considering taking a TEFL course, then I could not recommend Ninja highly enough in their professionalism. The financial outlay in retrospect appears to have been a bargain.
