The review criteria are a bit different from what this program offers since it is an online only class. However, I felt that compared to many of the other programs I looked into, this one had a comprehensive syllabus and provided some great information.

Many other online TEFL classes are really just paying for the certificate, the UI is painful, and you really just want to get done with them. This one, especially for the price point, felt informative and easy to navigate and understand. A student is only able to take the quizzes once so it forces you to actually review and learn the material. Sadly, this is not the case with all online TEFL certificate programs.

While I might choose to become CELTA certified at some point in the future, I feel that this was a good option for a beginner who wants to get their feet wet and needs a certification to make their application stand out from others.

I was very happy with the class am excited for the opportunities it opens up for me in terms of teaching abroad.

MyTEFL 120 hour comprehensive course was my top option for an online TEFL course and it fully lived up to my expectations. The course content is very well developed and presented clearly and logically. It covers everything from different teaching opportunities, to how to make a lesson plan, to different forms of testing and their advantages and disadvantages. Several examples are provided for every topic covered throughout the entire course. Examinations are frequent and clearly point out the important parts of each lesson. It’s easy to see how you’re doing with the course material, how much progress you’ve made and where you need to do some more studying. Having access to the 120 hour course material for 3 months is more than enough time to finish everything. Having access to the library and materials for another 3 months is another great tool that I’m looking forward to using and trying the different activities and lesson plans outlined there. Tutors are always available and very responsive. The Job Placement Help seems like a great opportunity. Overall a great course that really helped build up my knowledge and tools. Especially recommended for beginners and people with little to no experience, or those looking to go back to the basics.

The myTEFL 120 hour course is a great option, and I would recommend it for those looking to get TEFL certified. The online course is well developed, succinct, and clearly shows your progress throughout. The content is broken down into logical sections, and knowledge is checked every step of the way. The competitively priced membership offers 90 day access to the course materials, which is ample time to complete the course and learn the many aspects of teaching English. The site offers a variety of support from site specific support, to training resources and job search support.

I have been wanting to teach English for over a year now and after researching many, many websites, I finally settled on MyTEFL because their value and price is unbeatable! And despite their already low price, MyTEFL offers a 50% off student discount (which I happily took advantage of) and donates a portion of every course bought to charity.

The course itself is very straightforward. It is divided into 8 sections that each teach a different subject: Intro to EFL, Classroom Management, Teaching Language Skills, Teaching Materials & Aid, Curriculum Planning, Grammar, More Language, and Testing. Sections are broken up into many but short lessons and after each lesson there is a multiple-choice or fill-in-the-blank quiz to check comprehension. MyTEFL is self-paced and doesn’t have high-stakes testing which makes the course low-pressure; however, it also means you are solely responsible for your progression.

The MyTEFL staff are also very kind and responsive—a tutor is always available by email if you have questions! The course also includes a library with pre-made handouts and worksheets in case you need materials for classroom lessons. As someone who is planning to be a TEFL private tutor, it is sometime I am planning to take advantage of.

The one thing the course does not include is personalized feedback. While MyTEFL extensively cover how to plan and give lessons, you do not have the opportunity to actually practice (by sending in a video or over video call) teaching and receive professional comments.

I have been wanting to work abroad for a while now and I decided that a TEFL certificate was the way to go. I chose MyTEFL for its excellent reviews and the realness the page had given me. I just recently finished the course. Overall the course was pretty easy and I completed in three and half weeks. I learn a lot and content was easy to understand. I highly recommend using this site to get your TEFL certification.

I searched for over a month for an online TEFL program and felt MyTefl was the best fit for me. It’s cost effective, user friendly, and a portion of their proceeds support less privileged places. I was happy to know I was supporting a good cause giving back to others in need. I completed the 120 hour course and learned more valuable information than I did in my actual, in person elementary teacher training courses (I am a school teacher in the U.S.) Thank you MyTefl for the valuable and in depth study. I look forward to utilizing this certificate and see where it takes me and my family!

With the COVID-19 pandemic, I wanted a leisurely course to fill up my time. My undergraduate degree is not in education, so to be fair I do not have any comparison of classes on educational instruction topics. The course took me less than 4 weeks to complete and I found the lessons and quizzes interesting and easy to follow. There are 8 total units and each unit has an information page and then a quiz about the previous page. Before I purchased the course, I chatted online with an employee and she was very helpful and informative about the TEFL industry. Overall, MyTEFL was exactly what I was looking for in a TEFL course.

I really enjoyed my experience with the MyTEFL 120 hour course! I found it to be extremely user-friendly, straightforward, and clear. It was challenging, and there was a lot of reading to be done, but the tests directly reflected the lessons, there were no tricks. I also read in some reviews prior to taking this course, that it was slightly repetitive. There was some repitition, but I actually found it helpful because I was able to reflect and test my true knowledge on the subject. Also the staff are amazing. Any emails or concerns of mine were dealt with very quickly, which I’m impressed by. Great course. 🙂
