I have completed the 180 hour course and am currently writing my assessment for the 60 hour one-to-one and online course.

The course gives you a lot of information on how to plan a lesson, but not much on the actual content. Those of us who went to schools in the UK were never taught grammar as children and I was surprised to see that it only made up one module. Can I plan a grammar lesson? Yes. Am I confident that I could answer random questions about said grammar point that I’m teaching…no. I’m doing a lot of self study to make up for it, but to be honest I expected a thorough grammar course to be included.

Absolutely loved my TEFL course with i-to-i. I completed the Level 5 diploma, I found the course really helpful and I learnt lots of new skills. I now teach English online.

I did the i-to-i vietnam internship and I cannot overstate enough how bad it was. I had read previous reviews advising to go alone to Vietnam and get your own job and I wish I had listened to these. The accomodation was terrible – rooms were shared despite being told we would have private rooms, and I could not sleep overhearing my roommate on the phone to her partner late into the night every night. The ceiling collapsed and the place flooded yet we were repeatedly told it was fine. We were only given teaching materials and syllabuses the night before teaching, meaning we were up late trying to plan lessons for the next morning. Transportation did not turn up when it was supposed to and several of us were stranded at schools in the middle of nowhere struggling to get taxis home. It is soo unorganised and not a single person organising the training or teaching cares about you at all. I made some great friends but that is the only positive. Save your money and get a job yourself, you can always give your notice in if the year long contracts in other jobs put you off. Do yourself a massive favour and DO NOT DO THIS PROGRAM!

So here I was, all excited for my i-to-i course. The beginning was great until I got stuck and asked for help. I was advised to phone one of the tutors to ask for assistance. The tutor asked me to send my assignment to her in order for her to give me feedback. The following day I received a message saying that I am not to ask tutors for help on my assignment. I don’t agree with the way they handle their time frames. After trying to juggle a chronic illness, work and 180 hours of studying I thought that I would have a break between the 180 and one-on-one. I ended up working right through Christmas holidays, I had to cancel all my travel plans in order to make sure my assignment was in on time. I’m eventually done…please note all your modules will be removed from your account, modules you paid for. I’m done with my business now and frankly I’m left in the dark. What now? Where is the feedback , the job sites etc…..My husband was about to pay for his course and I advised him not too. Oh! and don’t forget the R900 extension fee ( 2 weeks)should you run out of time.

I have no hesitation in recommending i-to-i for anyone who wishes to complete their TEFL accreditation training. I have had great support from customer services, including having a representative call me in South Africa from the UK to sort out an issue I had. Feedback from the markers was excellent. The only reason I did not score it 5/5 is that there always seems to be that ONE individual (marker in this case) who lets the side down. Overall, this was a positive and satisfying experience and I genuinely did learn a lot. Thank you, i-t-i.

I completed the 300 hour course with i-to-i and I am satisfied overall with the experience. I liked the way the content was laid out on the site making it easy to read and comprehend. Although I found designing the lesson plans a bit challenging, the course is not designed for you to fail and I especially looked forward to the Instructors’ feedback after submitting each assignment. I guess my only regret is that i was not able to do the practical component.

Overall, a great course, great instructors and will definitely recommend to others.

I had a great time doing the course and the consultants are very helpful however I was not told upfront that to deliver my certificate to South Africa would cost me R1000. 00 and honestly, it is a crazy amount! I am not happy about that as I feel that I was robbed and I would not recommend anyone to do any TEFL course with I to I and also the down side of it is that it gives you less time to finish your course online. It will work well if you are unemployed however if you are employed trust me it is not recommended and also you need to pay an extra R1000.00 if your course expires which I find it ridiculous! I am not happy

I bought the 140 Hours (120 h online course + 20h practical classroom course) and my experience has been amazing. The practical course was so essential and it has boosted my confidence in being able to plan and CONDUCT a lesson. The I-TO-I website is easy to navigate and the course is highly informative. I-TO-I is real quality!

Thank you!

My first interaction with the company was fantastic, the service was excellent and I felt confident in choosing this company.

A week or so later, after completing the 120 hours, I was told I can’t use the certificate outside of the UK unless its certified in the UK first (it cost 161 pounds) and up to 3 weeks to get the document back.

After you’ve paid for the course they don’t seem to be as friendly anymore and they don’t tell you this beforehand.

I wouldn’t recommend them again.
