I would like to thank Global English team and William and Louisa in particular for all the work that goes into providing novice teachers and practicing teachers with clear guidance on a successful teaching career.

Prior to taking the course, I was rather skeptical about online courses in general. Honestly speaking, I enrolled on it because of the prestige accorded to a TESOL certificate in my country. However, the very first William’s comment was enough to allay my suspicion. His feedback is always positive, constructive, timely and specific, which contributed a lot to my progress and sense of achievement.

I really got much more than I had expected. Though I’ve been in teaching for many years, the Global English TESOL course provided the spur to my career development. It was Louisa with her enthusiasm and genuine interest in online teaching that inspired me to give it a go. A Luddite in the past, I got the hang of it and now I give online lessons to students from abroad! That’s amazing!

Do not hesitate and take your TESOL course with Global English. I heartily recommend it.

I have recently completed this amazing spotlight course and I would definitely recommend it to all those educators who seek to start online teaching or would like to convert more new students.

From the very beginning, I got full guidance on how to hold the first lesson (trial) in purpose to reveal students’ needs, avoiding long self-presentation but at the same time demonstrating your professionalism and clear understanding of your customers’ needs. Thanks to those simple but useful instructions I started converting new students immediately after the course completion. Louisa Walsh also provides extensive help on teaching and lesson planning along with a set of 20 ready lesson plans for various levels.

The third and very valuable domain covered within this course is marketing and assistance in your teacher’s bio development. It will clarify how to ‘capture’ your students and simplify this process by defining your own ‘niche’ and service/product (lessons, courses) that you might teach.

Enrolling in this course will open new opportunities in your career and will allow you to receive constructive feedback from the highly qualified instructor.

My name is Kris Dunphy. I am a public school teacher and I have been teaching for 20 years. I was very pleased with the feedback I received from the teacher on my assignments. It was always helpful and my teacher didn’t waste any time giving me constructive criticism right after my assignments were complete.

I found the directions very clear and easy to follow and I very much enjoyed my experience with Global English. Upon completion of this course my emails were always promptly returned when I needed transcripts or if I had any follow up questions.

I completed a 100 hour TEFL course with Global English a few months ago and I can say with conviction that I had a fairly easy ride through the course. All it required was a dedicated and sincere effort from the student and the rest was a breeze. One of the main reasons being, the course is very well designed and organized with the content very systematically structured. I was assisted through the course by Kerry McEwan who is very prompt in her responses and timely in her markings. Her explanations and feedback are very thorough and easily understandable. The added bonus is the courses offered by Global English are way less expensive than other providers. William Bradridge, the Director of Studies has been particularly very supportive in directing me to the right people to seek suitable placement after the course.

I highly recommend Global English for all your TEFL / TESOL needs !!

The 150 hour TESOL Global English Certificate course proved to be a very enjoyable and enriching experience. The course modules are organized in an effective manner and allow the student to acquire much needed knowledge when learning to teach English in the classroom.

Clare, my tutor, provided timely, thoughtful and constructive feedback in each question of the course. Her words of advice for teaching in the global classroom were invaluable and greatly appreciated.

The online material was accessible and easy-to-follow. I never had a problem with any of the modules. The questions asked in each module allowed one to pause and think deeply about how to approach teaching in the English language classroom.

The director of the course replied to my request for information and all other matters related to the course in a timely and respectful manner.

I highly recommend the Global English Certificate experience in order to jumpstart one’s career with teaching English abroad.

Global English Spotlight Live TESOL courses are short interactive courses consisting of 3 study modules and a 1-hour Zoom session. The modules were very good and had some great ideas for classroom or online teaching. Meeting the tutors and other teachers during the Zoom session was really good – it was a nice small group of teachers who teach in a variety of settings. Having the chance to share our planned lesson activities together or in a breakout room was really useful, as was discussing how they could be adapted to suit different learners or age groups. By learning from our tutor and each other and also having our questions answered, we left the session with a collection of tips and lesson ideas that we will be able to apply to our own teaching situations in the future. It was a really enjoyable session – useful professionally and a great way to network with other teachers. These short interactive courses are a great way to continue your professional development as an English Language Teacher.

I have completed several courses with Global English since 2007 including advanced teacher training, specialist courses and Spotlight Live courses. I highly recommend the quality of the training courses and professionalism of the tutors. My thanks go especially to William and Louisa.

I very much enjoyed this course (TESOL 300 Hour Professional), it was challenging and helped me develop as a teacher, especially with the useful feedback from William and Louisa. The layout of the course and how it builds up in complexity as you go through it, I found helpful as it wasn’t too overwhelming – introducing more complex topics later on. The questions within and at the end of the units helped to reinforce the material studied in the unit but also got me to think further, adopting my own style in planning and sourcing my own material in order to answer the questions. I found this an effective way of training. Also, the interactive portions in the Online Teaching sections of the course were very effective.

The site itself is put together very professionally and the graphics and short paragraphs on each page made it easier to read and take in information by breaking the material into smaller and manageable chunks. The lesson plans, hints, links, and tips, were and are very useful and come from a great deal of experience and wisdom when it comes to teaching. And this seems to have rubbed off on me as my own teaching has become more effective as a result. I very much recommend this course to teachers (new and old) as well as trainee teachers. My thanks to William and Louisa.

Loved the course! This was a really helpful class. Steve offered really helpful feedback and I really enjoyed the live zoom course- meeting others and exchanging stories and Ideas- I would absolutely recommend taking this spotlight course.
