CIEE TEFL provides various online TEFL certification courses, international practicum opportunities, and job placement support to countries like Spain, Russia, and Costa Rica. Founded in 2013, our mission serves to create a more accessible world by empowering students with English language teaching expertise to confidently navigate the global classroom.
We’re doing this by preparing future teachers not only for the classroom abroad but reaching local communities as well. Our internationally recognized 150-hour flagship course offers 130 hours of online coursework with support from a personal tutor and small class sizes. In addition, you’ll put into action everything you’ve learned with your 20-hour independent practicum.
Is a 150-hour course more than you planned for? Our 60-hour online introductory TEFL course might be the best fit for you. Worried about practicum? We offer two-week opportunities in various countries where you can get a taste for teaching abroad and complete your practicum under a structured environment. Already have a teaching commitment lined up for a specific age group – we’ve got a course for that too! Our 30-hour age specialization course will prepare you for young learners, teens, or adults

THERE NEEDS TO BE a break, a week long break, at some point in this process. This would be to give those still in college a rest from 10weeks of excruciating work loads. Not to mention this stuff gets very dry and boring so a week off should help. I recommend before or after week 6.
Also, I was hoping to learn more about teaching than I did. You don’t tell us where or how to begin teaching English, i.e.(grammar, vocab, sentence structure) that was not explained. I was overall not disappointed but not hugely satisfied by this $1000 course. And as of 05/11/16 when I’m writing this, I have yet to recieve my placement.
On a brighter note, the grammar lessons were helpful and great review.
