We have a wide selection of courses available to choose from, ranging from a short 20 hour weekend classroom TEFL course all the way up to our 198 hour Level 5 TEFL course, which involves a 3 day classroom course plus 168 hours of online study.

I think the weekend course should be delivered over 2 weekends with less hours and possibly more taught guidance on lesson plans

I was very pleased I opted to do the classroom element of the training, rather than just the online element, as it gives you a real insight into what goes into planning and delivering a lesson.

Learning about the strategies and methodologies, especially going through a PPP lesson plan was particularly useful. Being able to plan and deliver your own lesson in front of other students provides you with some great practice experience which gives me much more confidence for when I do it with real students!

The tutor Joanne was very engaging and really helped me to understand what it takes to be a good teacher. Especially how to elicit from students!

I really enjoyed the course, despite its length which was definitely quite daunting! I’m glad that I’d completed the online course prior to attending though. I felt that having completed the grammar section helped me with the PPP lesson challenge as there wasn’t time on the classroom course to go into each tense in any real depth.

It was great to put into practise what I’d learnt and with such a friendly and supportive group of people.

I teach ESOL to asylum seekers & refugees . it was good to learn a more structured approach. The Saturday session was far too long from 9am to 8pm. I would have preferred 3 days spread over 2 or 3 weekends.

Thomas was really helpful and resourceful during the whole weekend, he showed himself passionate about teaching and he tried to pass that passion on to us. I have collected quite many ideas for my future English lessons. I would highly recommend this course to people who are debating whether teaching suits them to find out how motivating and fun delivering a lesson can be

Had a brilliant weekend. Simon was so engaging which I imagine can be hard to keep up over a 20 hour weekend.

He covered everything. I feel so much more confident in my ability to move forward with TEFL & teach then I did last week.

Iona was animated, informative and very clear with her instructions and information given. It was a good balance of information, preparation and practical experience and was delivered with humour and fun.

Liz was an amazing teacher, she explained things really well and made the course fun! The course made a lot of the online information much clearer for me and helped me in areas that I had struggled with. The first day was very long and felt more intense than the second but I understand that it was necessary in order to fit in all of the content.

I had such a great time learning some fantastic teaching techniques and having a group TEFL experience! I really enjoyed myself and am looking forward to staying in touch with the people in my class.
