The IELTS course overall is well-structured and detailed, with good examples and resources for the teacher who is seeking to specialize in exam prep. The course offers a strong foundation in each of the IELTS components, exam strategies, and tips for teachers. I particularly found Modules 6 – 8 very useful and appreciated the professional development resources that provide suggestions for further and continued professional development. Although there were many pro’s, I felt that the course was a bit text-heavy even though care was taken in making it interactive. I would suggest adding some more multimedia digital TLSM’s and incorporating more “in-classroom” video examples in Module 6, for example, for each skill component. Moreover, the course offers free Tuesday classes, which I wish I’d had the time to attend, but I thought that was a wonderful addition. Thanks for a great experience!

As a graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English, I can confidently say that this course refreshed my knowledge and understanding of what I should teach as an English teacher. More than just revisiting the lessons themselves, it also reminded me of the proper and effective ways of teaching them. The course brought back many of the subjects and learnings I had during my college years.

Because of this experience, I now feel more confident in my ability to teach English effectively to my future students once again. I look forward to returning to the teaching profession and inspiring young individuals to become the best version of themselves, not only in learning the English language, but more importantly, in becoming better people.

The 120 TEFL course has a comprehensive and detailed programme for new English teachers. Each module has a final assessment that allows students to ensure they are familiar with all the details in every unit. However, when it comes to being in touch with a teacher, it has to be done by email, or on a weekly zoom session, that doesn’t always allow everybody to ask specific questions. I also think it would be great to have at least one actual lesson planning assignment. I understand that being an online programe one cannot necessarily expect a lesson observation, but it would be ideal to have a “practice lesson” in order to make the course excellent.

I did the 30-hr courses for Business English and teaching General English. I was really impressed with the various methods used for learning in each course. The lesson presentation demonstrated what was being taught. The courses were engaging and in manageable blocks that held my attention without becoming tedious. The additional resources offered were also a plus for me.

I will look at the other certifications being offered. Courses were well put together!! BRAVO!!

The IELTS course is good. Useful information was provided and the course is well structured. In the beginning of the course I found myself redoing many lessons because progress during each lesson isn’t saved. Overall, I recommend the course for anyone who wants to teach IELTS to students.

Thank you.

Globally, a good experience. Support is helpful and reactive (thanks Lisa!), but one thing is annoying: the fact that the app doesn’t save anything. So if you don’t do a whole lesson in one shot, you have to restart it from scratch. This meaning you loose a lot of time in the process…

Also, I would have liked to be able to save some stuff in PDF to use it later, but it’s not possible. I suppose because of copyright or avoiding unauthorized sharing.. But maybe it could be a locked PDF, just for the subscriber?

I want to commend TEFL for the brilliant content of their courses. It is easy to follow and understand, and it can make one a proficient English teacher when one engages well with the course. I would like to see some form of reminders sent to students, as the demands of family and work can sometimes break their focus. This may be useful for the 120-hour courses and the Diploma Course. Overall, I will highly recommend the TEFL Institute as a place to train to teach.

This 120 hour TEFL course has not only provided me with the background knowledge to the English Language but has also provided resources for lesson activities and advise on how to carry out these activities in the classroom. As an English speaker with no teaching experience, this course has also provided me with reliable sources of opportunities to eventually add to my resume when looking for my first teaching job. The course is not difficult and can be completed in a minimal to decent amount of time depending on your personal schedule. I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to be able to start working almost immediately after finishing the course.

The course was very interesting, offering a good range of interactive sections and clear information which was easy to digest. The site itself is a little difficult to navigate. I found myself repeating several sections due to the fact it doesn’t save any progress made in a given session.
