I know I have put a lot of “excellents” and that’s because I really did find the course incredibly good with so much content that will be helpful and really useful in my journey towards becoming a TEFL teacher. When I registered with TEFL Institute I initially viewed the TEFL course with some trepidation and nervousness, asking myself questions, such as will I be able to teach online? However, after spending Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 with Michelle Benson as our instructor, I feel so much more confident and empowered and that is thanks to the course instructor (Michelle) and the course content which was very comprehensive.
Michell was so supportive, she has a great sense of humour and was able to draw us all in to the point where we have become a “team”. We have even set up a group where we can contact each other for support, in the time going forward. That’s a really good result after spending 2 evenings together online!
I honestly cannot think of any areas where I feel there could be improvement. From my personal point of view, I would have liked it if the course was run earlier in the evening, as I am based in South Africa and finishing at 11.00/11.30pm is quite late, but I do understand that you have to accommodate people from all over and funnily enough, even though it did end so late (for me!) I felt quite energised at the end of it and found myself still chatting to my breakout room partner, instead of shutting down – a clear. sign that I found it stimulating and interesting.
