Overall, I found this TEFL course to be an excellent learning experience and one that I would happily recommend to others. The course content was well structured, engaging, and professionally designed. Rather than relying on a single teaching method, it used a variety of instructional approaches, practical activities, assessments, and knowledge checks, which kept the learning interesting and helped reinforce the concepts throughout the programme.

One of the things I appreciated most was that the course genuinely practised what it preached. As someone learning about effective teaching, it was refreshing to experience those same teaching principles being applied throughout the course itself. The lessons modelled good educational practice by using varied learning techniques, clear explanations, regular opportunities for reflection, and effective assessment methods. This made the experience both enjoyable and highly effective.

The quality of the learning resources and guidance was excellent. Throughout the course I felt supported, encouraged, and motivated to continue progressing. The content was practical, relevant, and easy to apply, making it suitable for both new and aspiring English language teachers.

My only significant frustration was with the online learning platform itself rather than the course content. On several occasions, after completing a sub-module and its assessment, the platform would fail to load the next module and instead display a blank webpage. Unfortunately, this also resulted in all of my completed work, including the assessment for the previous sub-module, being lost. As a result, I had to repeat the same sections and tests multiple times. This was particularly frustrating when working to tight deadlines. Equally disappointing was that I could not find a way to resolve the issue myself, and there did not appear to be readily available technical support to help when it occurred.

If I were taking the course again, I would probably keep personal notes as I progressed and, where possible, save evidence of completed work after each section, just in case a similar technical issue occurred. I would also encourage the provider to improve the platform’s reliability by introducing an auto-save function and making technical support more accessible when learners experience system issues.

Overall, despite the technical problems with the platform, the quality of the course itself far outweighed those frustrations. The learning experience was engaging, supportive, motivating, and professionally delivered. The content, teaching approach, and resources were all of a very high standard, and I completed the course feeling both more knowledgeable and more confident in applying what I had learned.

This course is well structured and easy to follow. It includes videos, images and text to really encourage active learning and to help you retain information. I personally really love the testing system as you can retake the module exams as many times as you need to pass or improve your grade. I think this course is particularly useful for people with little to no teaching experience, as it not only explores different ways to teach students, it also provides information on classroom management and different techniques used by teachers. The customer support staff are also very helpful and understanding, special thanks to Lisa Flynn, one of the advisors for assisting me! Overall I think this course is very beneficial and absolutely worth the time and effort!

I learned a lot about Methodology from the videos and lesson content. The video and audio summary of each was also educative and eye-opening. I was able to reflect on my teaching methods and decide on areas where I need to make major improvements.

I appreciate Michelle Benson for her competent guidance during the 10 Hours Methodology training, and I want to say a big, fat ‘Thank You!’ to Lisa Flynn in Customer Support for her prompt replies to my messages. Taking the 120-hour TEFL Course at Premier TEFL has been a great experience. However, I noticed that some of the videos did not have audio summaries, and some of the resources’ links did not open, nevertheless, the experience proved to be an enriching one.

This is my truthful experience:

There a lot of TEFL courses providers out there and finding the right one was quite confusing. Eventually (and thankfully), I decided to do the 180h diploma and a few specialisation ad-ons with the TEFL institute of Ireland.

The course content was easy to follow and even though some of the assessments felt somehow long, I see why, the quality of the certification was so that I finished the course feeling fully prepared to plan and deliver high quality lessons. Which is what I am doing right now!! I am indepently teaching students and I just secured a job with an language school.

One of the main contributing factors to my decision of doing the course with them was their support team: I had a few queries before, during and after completion, all answered promptly and thoroughly. John, Elaine and Olivia were a delight to deal with.

I highly recommend TEFL. ie to anyone thinking of getting TEFL certified.

As a teacher of languages and having taught English abroad whilst doing my degree, it was about time to get an additional qualification to enable me to teach English abroad or online. The course was detailed and I liked the fact you had to get over 80% on each module in order to progress to the next module. The useful websites towards the end will be of great use, I believe.

The course was well organised and broke down the key areas.I needed to understand in a clear and practical way.It gave me a foundation and helped build my confidence moving forward. At the same time,it’s important to understand that this si just the beginning-growth comes from continuing to learn, practise, and gain experience.
