I would definitely recommend the TEFL certification to any professional, whether you aspire to become a teacher or not.

I personally chose the specific enrolment to the highest level – TEFL level 5 with an abc attachment feedback. I feel much more comfortable during my financial presentations at work, I use proficient vocabulary words, and feel very grateful to my English teacher’s support and suggestion to start and complete this teaching journey.

I feel that I have now a possibility to another career opportunity in lieu of Finance. THANK YOU 🙏

TEFL is a fantastic course. The amount of support and resources available is so helpful and interesting, and the progression through each unit is clear and useful.

I feel fully equipped to be a teacher now! Would perhaps appreciate more affordable options for extra parts of the course, but otherwise excellent.

The feedback was very comprehensive for each assignment, and I really enjoyed myself – thanks TEFL team

I found the course content engaging and useful, the structure was easy to follow and the additional content was also interesting.

Assignments were marked timeously and with adequate feedback and advice on how to improve. The course was self paced with enough time to complete. Overall I was satisfied with my experience.

The TEFL Academy offers a well-structured certification course that caters to both aspiring and experienced educators aiming to teach English abroad or online. Overall, my experience with the program was positive, but not without some drawbacks that future students should consider.

Pros:

Accreditation and Recognition: One of the standout features is that the course is Ofqual-regulated and recognized internationally, which adds credibility when applying for teaching positions.

Flexible Learning Format: The blended learning format allows for flexibility whuch is ideal for working professionals or students.

Comprehensive Content: The modules cover essential topics such as grammar, lesson planning, classroom management, and teaching methodology. The inclusion of real-life classroom scenarios helped contextualize the material.

Job Resources: Upon completion, I received access to a helpful job board and CV guidance, which supported my job hunt significantly.

Cons:

Limited Tutor Interaction: Although there is tutor support, the engagement is minimal. Responses to questions can take a few days, and feedback often feels generic.

Workshop Depth: The one-day practical component felt rushed. While it was useful, there wasn’t enough time for in-depth teaching practice or detailed feedback.

Surface-Level Assessment: The course relies heavily on multiple-choice quizzes and short assignments, which don’t always reflect deeper understanding or allow for creative teaching solutions.

Suggestions for Improvement:

If I were to take the course again, I would pair it with volunteer teaching to gain hands-on experience earlier. Additionally, I suggest the academy extend the practical component into at least a two-day workshop to allow more time for peer feedback and real-time lesson delivery practice.

While there are areas that could be improved, such as the depth of tutor support and the brevity of the practical session, the TEFL Academy provides a solid foundation for anyone looking to enter the TEFL world. The course does what it promises and is great, especially if supplemented with additional practice and initiative on the learner’s part. The resources provided are also very good.

Before joining the Academy my life was upside down,I didn’t know whether I was coming or going. During the course of my qualification, I wasn’t so sure whether I will pass or not. It was so challenging for me because of my long period of not working or studying. Today I thank myself for pushing through and persevering. I have just completed the level 5 TEFL course and i would have to say that it was an amazing and very educational experience. I found that it was easy and very informative yet rewarding and insightful, i would recommend the course to anyone who maybe be interested. The TEFL Academy’s Qualifi Level 5 Online Course provided everything one would need to get started in a career in teaching English. The course was affordable thanks to a promo pay period ($200), provided plenty of time to complete (6 months), and offered a treasure trove of resources for students to dive into or save for later depending on their learning style. The pace of each unit and lesson was thorough but appropriately paced, with each lesson building on the last and encouraging students to call upon what they learned. Furthermore, the three assessments were incredibly helpful for someone who had never before crafted lesson plans and classroom guides, let alone for different student levels (beginner, intermediate, and advanced students). Ultimately, the course gave me confidence in my ability to lead a class and design my own ESL lessons, and I highly recommend those interested in teaching ESL (or teaching in general) to take the course.

I enjoyed making my tefl course with the tefl academy, I found it very helpful and interesting. For many years I considered doing a tefl career and after researching many companies for it , the tefl academy was the best. I am fully satisfied and wish everyone to do a course with the tefl academy.

The course was quite detailed but still manageable to get through. The content was set up in a way that is not confusing and has a flow as well as being easy to self teach.

If I didn’t grasp the concept by what was in the unit, there were additional resources given as well as video to watch to help with understanding.

The assignment feedback was very detailed and showed me where I can improve and what I did right.
