I really enjoyed how well structured the units were with a multitude of resources one could refer back to not only when completing the assignments or testing, but for use in the future!

The Level 5 Tefl Course was all in all a wonderful course and very well organized. The feedback was extremely prompt and the information required in all areas was provided in lots of detail.

Ample time is given to complete the course however, it can be completed in much less.

I would however, like to have access to the Units once the “course” expires after 6 months. They would be useful to refer back to at any time if you are uncertain or are needing to refresh some areas.

I really enjoyed completing this course and cannot wait to get started in my Tefl journey of teaching students from all over the world.

I’d highly recommend this TEFL course. I found it to be challenging, yet rewarding. The end of unit tests and three assignments really do test that you know and understand the content.

My experience with The TEFL Academy has been a very positive one. I was initially very pleased with the instructional videos which were very thorough and easy to understand, and made the experience of using the online learning system extremely easy.

The course itself offered a wide variety of information on all potential aspects of English language teaching. I was very happy and felt both comfortable and challenged by every topic presented in the course, and at the end of it I feel very confident in my knowledge and ability to go forward in teaching English as a foreign language.

The course was presented in a very clear, enjoyable way, and I really felt like I gained a lot from each and every lesson.

The tests and assignments were challenging but enjoyable, and I felt like my knowledge was adequately tested to ensure that I reached my highest potential.

The feedback from the tutors was clear and encouraging, and I felt that I learned from the feedback each time it was given.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the course and will absolutely be recommending it to others. I will also look at completing further qualifications with The TEFL Academy in the future.

HONEST REVIEW: I thoroughly went through reviews to compare which course I would take and I ultimately put my trust in The TEFL Academy. I would like to return the favour.

Not worth the money. While I have nothing else to compare it to I have a feeling this is the general standard of most TEFL Online courses. As a qualified teacher, I did not find this course helpful. Candidly, It made me feel that ESL teaching is a bit of an industry joke.

As I am already familiar with classroom management and lesson planning – I was really hoping for a course which would actually teach me HOW TO TEACH English to people who do not speak it. I was hoping to become a grammar expert by the end of it since the course had 2 units and 6 whole classes based on it.

Regrettably, I spent $264 on a pile of rubbish really.

Additionally, their extra “top-up course” was even worse! Now that I am actually working in the ESL industry (no thanks to any of the job posts on their board) I went back over my notes from the course to see if I could find anything applicable to my practice and found nothing this was highly disappointing!

I realise that everything I learned on the TEFL ACADEMY course was more efficiently and more robustly taught for free from YouTubers, or other ESL bloggers and websites, not to mention much more engaging! The three units after unit 7 were just time fillers.

Some positive notes:

All assignments were returned back to me in a timely manner.

The course is very well laid out and easy to follow independently without assistance.

Might be useful for someone who has never taught before?

A digital certificate upon completion.

I began this course because I enjoyed teaching so much and wanted to help students. I found the TEFL Academy online I am do not regret my decision one bit. I was very stressed when I submitted my assignments but where I am now, I have no idea why. The lady who marked my assignments was so helpful, she marked my assignment in maximum two days time – where you actually wait 5 working days – and she gave me really great feedback.

All the content was relevant because there were a lot of new contents I learned and a lot that made sense of why I had to know that. The decision to take the course was the absolute best. I received my pdf version of my certificate a day after I got the news of me passing my exam. TTA is up and running with a great name behind them.

Never will I regret my decision.

I’ve completed this course during my holiday. Overall, it was a good experience, nut also a challenging one. In total, it took me around 5 full weeks to complete the TEFL level 5 course. On average, I would spend around 2-8 hours a day to study or work on assignments.

The course provides a lot of information on how to teach English in a international setting. This is what I have been looking for, guidance on how to deal with different types of classes and backgrounds. I also like, that you had to choose a nationality of your students during assignment B, I chose Korean. This forces you think more out of the box and find out why Koreans struggle to learn English.

Also, I found the assignments to be quite challenging, I would spend a day or five on one, then research more and adjust them again. However, doing more research and coming up with new ideas made me a better teacher. And this, is very important to me.

I believe that this course covers pretty much everything what is necessary to become a teacher. The only aspect that could improve, is the information provided for assignments ABC. There are too many documents on explaining what must be done. It can become confusing and time consuming. At least, for me.

I really studied hard and watched all the videos. My goal was to pass with merit, and I’ve managed to do so. Now, I’m ready to travel again and teach!
