TEFL Trainer is a TEFL Certification provider with a network of schools in Spain.

TEFL Trainer has worked with over 50 UK and French universities organising teaching internships in English, Spanish, and French through a network of language schools in Spain.

Our online course is very comprehensive with over 100 video tutorials, interactive quizzes and its 6 final exams, to be supplemented by 6 reflective diaries and 6 lesson plans. A Student Handbook is also provided after the interview.

If you choose an internship or volunteering you will be provided with all the lesson plans as well as on-site support and further training.

I had a great experience gaining a TEFL qualification with TEFL Trainer. They were so helpful in arranging my placement and very quick to reply to emails. The online course was good for learning the necessary things for completing a TEFL internship. I had lots of support through mentoring from TEFL Trainer, in the written assignments especially. I had no prior TEFL experience but completing the online TEFL course and doing a TEFL internship in Valencia was very manageable. I recommend TEFL Trainer to everyone.

During my TEFL internship, I gained very deep and memorable insights into the world of teaching and I grew a greater appreciation for how difficult English can be to learn. I also loved the sheer amount of people I was able to meet through the programme, from students that I would have the pleasure of teaching, to fellow teachers.

Having said that, I felt that the lesson materials and resources were somewhat insufficient and outdated. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the textbooks that were used across classes, as I felt that they weren’t always beneficial or interesting for all students. I think it would have been better to have had a wider variety of lesson topics and materials, and props or activities for younger students to engage them better.

Overall, I had a great experience with TEFL Trainer and I felt highly supported during my internship. I found the course incredibly interesting and it inspired and helped me to take on other TEFL roles afterwards.

I completed my TEFL Trainer course over a 6 month period and thoroughly enjoyed it. I felt the structure of the course itself was extremely organised – I had a clear understanding of what was required of me regarding the practical and academic assessments. This communicated helped me feel at ease whilst working and living abroad.

Completing both practical teaching hours and academic assessments has enabled me with a range of knowledge and understanding about teaching and how to maximise students learning.

Thank you so much TEFL Trainer for an incredible experience in Spain. I would highly recommend this internship for anyone who is interested in teaching and learning new skills.

Having no prior teaching experience, I found the prospect of starting to work at a language school a bit daunting at first. However, I did have enough time to start the online course before my internship which really put me at ease.

The course is structured into ï¼– main blocks that need to be completed with 2 non-compulsory ones and a specialist course. I found that the content and the information that was provided in the course was relevant and informative yet easy to understand. The requirements of the course were explained well in the handbook, also providing helpful tips for the tasks that needed to be completed.

The cherry on top of TEFL Trainer course is, of course, Julia. She is extremely responsive and helpful, offering mentoring sessions to students in need. Having her support really enhanced my learning experience.

If I had to include a slightly negative point in this review, I would have to say that it is the technical aspect of the course. Although the website is designed beautifully, it does feel a bit clumsy in regard to coding. I have had some issues with the functionality of the website but it did not negatively impact my general experience.

I would definitely recommend TEFL Trainer course for anyone aspiring to become an ESL teacher.

Before I started this TEFL course I didn’t know what to expect. The 20 hours crash course was amazing and really inspiring for me, eventhough I had some doubts If I could complete it because I am not a native speaker. Nevertheless I couldn’t wait to start the online course. Because I am working part time I had the chance to complete this course in half a year. I would say this is sufficient time to study and finish the exams. Overall It was a wonderful experience and It brought me a new way of teaching, how to research and how to get to know what is my teaching philosophy. I love the structure in Juila’s course. Lot’s of video’s, text and quizzes that prepares you for the exams, the diaries and the lesson plans. I have learnt more than I thought and also grammar was a challenge which I passed and understood in the end. I would recommend this online TELF course to everybody who wants to teach abroad! Thank you Julia 🙂

Not only has Tefltrainer provided me with an amazing amount of knowledge, resources and feedback, but with an incredible sense of self confidence in teaching the English Language as well. The online course was brilliantly broken down into very manageable AND varied units. I never felt overwhelmed by the amount and I loved the encouraging mini videos and quizzes too! The printable/digital resources were very concise and extremely valuable, when completing my lesson plans. My only qualm would be there could be a clearer layout/past examples for the lesson plans. The crash course was superb, opening my eyes to the many different career aspects of of an EFL teacher. Moreover, it helped tremendously to meet and work with other EFL teachers in training too, sharing experience knowledge and best of all ideas! However, I would of preferred a few more breaks/mini games inbetween. In the crash course I discovered both my strengths and weaknesses and felt very confident to explore them both. What’s more my TEFL mentor Julia, always supported me throughout, confidently clarifying any concerns I had and replied consistently with much appreciated enthusiasm! 🙂

TEFL Trainer allows potential teachers to get good practice in a friendly but also challenging environment. The experience helps you to grow as a teacher and also as a person because the placement develops many different skills and characteristics. The exam side of the course is helpful as it gives you the knowledge required to teach English language. One improvement could be making the the website easier to use as it was sometimes confusing. There also could be a little more advice about the reflective diaries as it was difficult to tell if what I was writing was appropriate. However, the experience was great and help was always there if I needed it.

I will recommend the online course any day . The course contents are very detailed as well as easy to understand. The mentoring sessions is as helpful as they come. Julia is very patient to explain to students about some grey areas in the course.

This online course is highly recommended. Content is great. Mentoring session is very helpful. The mentor shows a sincere interest in interns and the solutions to their problems and she lends great support and guidance to learners.

The staff at the institution in which I undertook my internship were very helpful and friendly, and I felt that they prepared me well to do the job, with a training day and frequently sitting in on lessons to ensure I was executing the job well. These reviews were also completed with specific feedback on the areas that I needed help with, and constructive criticism to improve the lessons where needed. I believe that the course equipped me for similar jobs in the future, as well as building on my confidence in the professional climate and I am happy with my experience and keen to utilise my TEFL qualification in the future after graduating from university.
