We have a wide selection of courses available to choose from, ranging from a short 20 hour weekend classroom TEFL course all the way up to our 198 hour Level 5 TEFL course, which involves a 3 day classroom course plus 168 hours of online study.

Our instructor Emma was very experienced and had a very nice manner about her. She demonstrated an in depth knowledge of her subject, being able to answer all questions with ease and with clarity. Given that there is not really time to acquire more than a basic competency she was encouraging and positive.

Iona was excellent in her upbeat presentation and all round competency.

She made it fun and was very friendly. I would happily have her as my tutor.

The course was well structured and very interesting. It kept us ‘on our toes’ as the pace was fast in places, but it achieved its aim of enabling us to effectively teach a grammar point and a vocabulary word or phrase. The tutor was enthusiastic, impartial and willing to answer our questions, as well as deliver the material.

I think the course could have been over 3 days with the inclusion of demonstrating to the class alone as well as in pairs. We were all surprised to find that the course was designed for teaching adults and hope this doesn’t impact our search for work later.

Overall the course was very helpful as it provided the opportunity to practise the necessary skills and we had a thoroughly enjoyable time in the process.

The course was very interesting and contained a lot of relevant information. Emma was brilliant. She was very helpful and a great teacher.

Emma was amazing. She inspired me so much and I am so thankful for her help over the weekend. I would recommend her and the TEFL course to anybody.

Great weekend course, covering lots of different topics. Very interactive!

However, hours are too long on the first day…

Had a great weekend. Emma was very professional with her explanations and teaching but also very warming towards the whole class which allowed the shyer quieter people to feel more comfortable. I would highly recommend the course and highly recommend Emma

I really enjoyed my weekend TEFL course. Our Tutor, Iona, was excellent in all regards and I came away with a far better understanding and feel for the TEFL style of teaching English than I could ever have imagined. Getting involved in planning and delivering our two lessons made everything I’d studied so much more meaningful and I was particularly pleased to discover that the teacher is not the constant focus of attention in the classroom. I witnessed Iona weaving effortlessly between various teacher roles, sometimes out of sight, sometimes just in my periphery but one always felt she was there, rooting for you and giving everyone her very best. So, if I can make it through the course and actually take the plunge and become an English teacher – which, quite frankly, scares the willies out of me – I’d aspire to be as professional and as exceptionally good as Iona.

My thanks and best wishes to Iona and each of my fellow students for making this course such a valuable experience.
