It was a great learning experience. Elizabeth is a highly competent and empathetic tutor. I have a few years of teaching experience but had enrolled for this course as I felt stagnancy creeping into my overall growth as a teacher. ALso I wanted o equip myself for the promising virtual world of teaching. I like to learn new ways of teaching to sharpen my skills as a teacher and I would say I don’t regret joining this course even a bit. Learning with native speakers was initially a bit daunting but Elizabeth ensured we were at ease. Content of the course, tutor’s delivery and feedback would get a 5 star rating. However, probably, during the practicum, it would help if we could discuss the age group we intend to teach and prepare lessons accordingly. Also, maybe a one to one session to know more about students goal would be helpful. Overall, kudos to Elizabeth and the entire team. Thanks a lot for adding a beautiful chapter to my book of learning and teaching. I hope I’m hired and can start online TEFL teaching soon.

I think it would be better if it was mandatory to complete some of the online modules regarding grammar and methodology before starting the zoom course, as there is a bit of repetition of these aspects and perhaps it would help students to put their new knowledge into practice in their lesson plans. I also think that having to prepare presentations over night was a bit tricky, particularly if students had prior commitments. Overall, I found it beneficial and particularly useful in showing how to teach via zoom.

On the whole the course was very good. It was well structured and presented and covered everything well. However, given the large amount of course contect, I would have preferred a hard copy manual to refer to rather than having everything online. Also, some one-to-one interaction with the tutor over zoom would have been good. Doing everything online was quite a challenge!

The virtual classroom was very well taught and was enjoyable despite being on zoom. I think an actual classroom experience would have suited me better, but completely understand this wasn’t possible given the current COVID situation

I’d like to thank the administrators who did a brilliant job. I had very quick and efficient responses to all my queries. Nice to have that personal touch :).

Very good experience with Elizabeth. Very professional and knowledgeable. Really enjoyed my weekend. Only negative is not having much time to prepare for the presentationsv the following days

Excellent course, really helped build my confidence in my ability to teach online. Charlei, our instructor, was encouraging and motivating, providing constructive feedback and helpful tips to improve our presentation skills. This course provides an opportunity to prepare and present two online classes to a qualified and experienced TEFL instructor and a small peer group, this is such invaluable experience for new teachers and an opportunity not to be missed. The resources provided are first class. Thanks for another great course TEFL!

This course was a little different than I expected. In the end, it was ok but it was really slow going. In my opinion, there was too much time just talking, introducing ourselves instead of getting right into the good stuff. The practice teaching as a result was very short.

I expected that there would be more time learning tips about online teaching, TEFL in zoom for example and also practising.

Another point was that I have been teaching adults for 7 years now and this is a top-up for me. The materials were more related to teaching children but I was able to adapt mine for adults.

Elizebeth was absolutely fantastic!!

She made us all feel so calm and was so reassuring. I really didnt know what to expect from the virtual experience but it was fantastic and honestly felt like being in the classroom. Elizabeth was clearly very experienced and is extremely professional. I couldn’t of wished for a better experience.
