I am a qualified experienced maths teacher but have been teaching some refugees English. This course helped me to catch up on some of the trickier topics particularly grammar, all the tenses are now clearer to me. I found the demonstration videos on you tube very helpful to show ways to model activities and classroom layout.

The modules are well explained and provide a range of different tasks to keep your interest. The tutor was helpful.

I found it useful to have books recommended, I got most of them second hand online (watch out if you want the cd, as sometimes they are missing!). I found all of the books recommended useful for the course and look forward to making use of them in my future lesson planning, as well as the module booklets.

The course was reasonably priced.

After the course I did send in some comments about the lack of something on special needs. This could be a factor in thinking how to organize a mixed group, also in the planning of resources. I think they are going to include something in future.

I completed two of the courses on offer; 120 Hour TESOL Premier & 20 Hour Teaching English Online.

I found both courses to be interesting and challenging but not daunting. The content is relevant and up to date including keeping abreast of the fast changing world of technology platforms utilised for teaching. The marking of assignments was prompt, insightful and constructive which helped me move through the courses at a pace that suited me. Both my tutors (Steve Button & Louisa Walsh) were very friendly and helpful which added to the overall experience and provided reassurance and confidence. Global English is clearly a professional and thorough provider with the right amount of focus on the personal approach to trainee relations and course materials and content. I would highly recommend their company and courses to potential ESL teachers (in fact I have already to at least one friend). Overall an excellent experience and a good basis for embarking on an ESL career.

I’d like to thank all members of Global English team for this experience. When I decided to pass the YESOL course, I expected that this would be a bit boring and drowsy process, and I have never been so mistaken before.

The course is so logical, coherent and understandable, that it makes you feel really comfortable while passing it. The tutor’s support can not be underestimated. My tutor, Steve Button is a great professional, his comments and evaluation where very important and logical.

So, I would highly recommend the Global English courses to everyone!

I would highly recommend anyone wishing to take a TESOL course to approach Global English as they are absolutely terrific and the courses are amazing.

Thank you to Louisa, William and Denise the course Directors. You have helped me to achieve one of my dreams of teaching online to foreign students.

I have just completed my 120 hour TESOL course, Business English course and is in the process of finishing the Young Learner course. I have already recommend Global English to a friend and to anyone else who is interested in obtaining their TESOL certificate, Global English is a great provider.

I work in finance and love my job, I didn’t know much about teaching at all. My partner took an offer to teach science and math in China and I just figured why not give this TESOL thing a try? I went through lots of websites and looked through reviews and eventually settled on Global English. I was worried about interest connecting and testings and so on, but the courses offer online, offline and interactive learning methods, so even with the time zone difference and unstable internet I finished my first two courses with excellent results.

My tutor Kerry M. was amazing too, her reply time always made wonder if she sleeps at all. Grammar was always tough for me but she was patient and understanding (UK English vs. Canadian English) and corrected me when necessary. Just grammar alone I have learnt so much from her. Her feedback on my assignments/tests were great – constructive criticism + encouragement + corrections + praises. She never over corrected me on course/lesson plans so I always felt like she let me be creative with all the ideas, but kept my eyes on the goal and worked within boundaries of the assignments.

I also have had some contact with William B., the director of studies at Global English. William was also very, very nice and quick to respond to my concerns with certificates and overall questions even prior to signing up for the courses. Because of the virus outbreak in China and some personal issue after I was falling behind on my studies and William offered to help and it was great to know that Global English is managed by real people who cared about your success and not just a generic system.

So to summarize it all, it was a great decision to study with Global English. Kerry and William were great and super helpful. These courses I took and is taking right now, are giving me a great sense of accomplishment and I 100% recommend them to anyone who is interested in teaching English globally!

Thanks again and I am sure I will be back for more in the near future!

I choose the TESOL 300 hour course and it has proven to be a very wise decision. Some of the modules are very challenging but with the guidance of my tutor William I have been able to overcome many of the difficulties.

The assistance is very professional and rapid, they respond immediately to questions or to clear-up any obstacle in the way of moving forward.

I am an English teacher in Italy and the course has improved the quality of my lessons. I have had positive feedback from my students when I incorporate ideas from what I’ve learned from the exercises.

This is a very positive review so if I have to include a suggestion for improvement it would be in the area of lesson planning. If I had to redo the course I would spend more time preparing a lesson plan and really thinking it through. This has been a weak area for me.

For anyone thinking about a course to teach English, I would look no further than Global English and selecting one of the many courses they offer.

I just completed the 150 hour TESOL Premier Plus through Global English and would totally recommend it to anyone who would like to take an online TESOL course.

The course is very well-designed and structured. The content of the course is interesting and informative. I liked that that there are video and audio clips, especially the video clips that showed how we could teach in the classroom.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank William Bradridge for all the guidance and encouragement he gave me throughout this course. I’m thankful for the very detailed feedback, not just on what I’ve submitted but how I can improve.

Once again, I would definitely recommend Global English TESOL and I will be signing up for more courses in the future. Thank you!

If you have your basics covered in English language’s rules & grammar and are looking to be certified to teach English abroad, I would highly recommend taking the courses from Global English.

The 120-hour course I took (with 20 hr. classroom practice) was just what I needed to prepare myself to feel confident that I could indeed walk into a classroom filled with students and part to them what knowledge I was there to teach them.

I found the support system to be superb. Whether communicating your tutor to inquires sent to the admin, questions are answered promptly with much encouragement to help you move forward in the course.

Ms. Kerry McEwan was my tutor in the 120-hour TESOL course I took, and she was with me all the way through as well as prodding me when needed. Her encouraging words truly pushed me through when I was having doubts.

She was pretty much everything you’d want as a tutor; with her ability to give you her full attention to your inquiries, with her timely responses, her encouragement and understanding, I was able to complete the course feeling confident that I can do my job as teaching English as a second language in my chosen country.

I also want to thank William for all his assistance in various administrative related questions I had.

This is not a course to teach you about English language per se, the course expects you to know that already in detail. While giving you a ‘refresher’ course on English, the course/s place you in the frame of mind of being in a classroom and teaching English to those who wish to learn the language that is not their native language.

I found the classroom related sections in the modules very helpful and they allowed me to see in my mind what that experience would be like, and how to conduct myself in a classroom, and to ponder further upon how I see myself teaching.

This helped me much because I do not have a teaching background. And as such, it was not only just refreshing my knowledge of English language so that I am capable of teaching it, but also in the areas of ‘teaching areas” that I had not been aware of, what that entails, what dynamics the roles plays in a classroom, etc.

More than anything, this course helped me to see myself in a classroom sharing knowledge with others who are eager to learn, and how to conduct myself in that role to have the best results for my future students.

The little tips and tried-and-true methods and advice in the course material, I shall always remember to allow me to be a better teacher in teaching English to those who wish to learn.

It was a very pleasant experience that I had not first anticipated, and that I am very glad that I took the course here. In time, if I feel I need another course, I would most definitely take the courses Global-English offers.

My best regards to Kerry and William,

Thank you.

Kessie

At the very beginning of the 250 hours TESOL course, I was not sure how it will go or if I will like it. I thought it will be a boring course. I was wrong. Throughout the course, I enjoyed working in every module. There is so much interesting information, ideas for teachers. I had a great Tutor that follows high standards throughout the course. I have learned a lot from this course and the Tutor. William (my assigned Tutor) has a lot of knowledge about teaching. His markings and opinion were honest. I would highly recommend this course for anyone who wants to start or continue teaching and want to have more knowledge about teaching.

Good luck and enjoy the course!
