I enjoyed the TEFL course more than I thought I would. Call me a nerd, but I even enjoyed reviewing grammar. The modules were well structured and the activities complemented the content well. The extended reading suggestions at the end of each module were informative and helpful. I had my classroom weekend after having done the grammar modules, which was a good move. These two modules were the most challenging, as grammar can be tricky to teach. Having read and thought about it beforehand, particularly verb tenses, made it easier to follow the teacher and for concepts to sink in. The classroom teacher was very knowledgeable and his approach engaging. Our group was fun and we still keep in touch encouraging each other – a fun, social aspect of the course.

The course makes you realise the wealth of information available on the internet to help with teaching. It gave me the confidence that, even if I don’t know a particular grammar point, I can easily find lessons, suggestions and teaching materials.

The assignments were a bit more challenging than the modules, and I felt they truly put me to the test of whether I had grasped the concepts. It was a good way of reviewing and putting into practice what I had learned. I was very happy with the comments and advice I had from the reviewers.

I finished the course feeling confident, although I would have liked some practice teaching before braving the job market.

I complete the TEFL Academy course recently. As a professional and nearly 54, I am perhaps not the conventional age to begin teaching English. However, when I was working in the oil industry in SE Asia I saw that there was a need for help, mentoring young employees (and older) in presentation techniques and in report writing. This course was excellent in showing how to lesson plan and provide interesting material to help students learn English vocabuary and grammar. I was impressed that the content was so thorough for an online course and pleasantly surprised and the quantity and quality of study. This course was worth every penny.

I just finished my TEFL course Level 5 (168hrs) with The TEFL Academy. This course was really resourceful to me. It helped me a lot with many questions I had regarding my teaching job. It gave me new ideas that when tried out I obtained positive results. It was the answer to many of my questions and doubts that a new teacher usually faces.

The Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hours) was well structured with different modules covering different topics. The tests at the end of the modules were not too daunting and provided immediate feedback on my performance.

The assignment instructions were clear and detailed, which helped to make sure I completed all the necessary tasks. This was helpful as I hadn’t studied for many years and wasn’t really familiar with current requirements. The feedback for these was timely and I appreciated the one assessor who also provided suggestions for improving my assignment as well as statements about my performance.

I did the course online, so didn’t have any direct personal contact with instructors or teaching practice. However, the interactive nature of the online course did a reasonable job at simulating some aspects of that.

The course was a positive experience and I would recommend it to others.

At TheTeflAcademy.com, I finished the Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hrs) and overall had a good experience.

It was easy to go through the online sections at my own pace and then complete the assignments. Feedback was overall good, and I think it was mostly fair.

I don’t think their job boards or resources are too helpful so far. Don’t take this course just for hoping to get job offers. This is only to get TEFL certification.

Nice course, decent price.

The TEFL 5 level course is very professional. Each unit is clearly explained.

Videos, exercises and other resources help us to understand better the content in each unit.

We approached teaching for different level of students too.

Marks are fair and feedback is thorough too.

I really enjoyed this course and I recommend it.

From one unit to another is very encouraging and captivating.

Brilliant.

The TEFL Academy made me realize that teaching English does not have to be hard work or boring. From the online courses I have learned how to effectively create a lesson plan, which at first was confusing. The end of course assessment was scary at first but after putting the time and effort I have come to realize that I have learned how to teach and create lesson plans.

I also came to realize that I have a somewhat of a niche market here in the country I currently reside in, and that is professional business English. Coming from business background and wanting to teach English, I came to realize, from one of the end of course assignments, that not only was the course fun to teach but I was also very confident since it was my work background.

I am so happy to report that I already got job offer from a company to teach to professional business English to major companies international companies. Thank you TEFL Academy for the experience, the fun class atmosphere, and the valuable knowledge that I have learned.

I did the 168 hours combined course with the TEFL Academy. I found the content of the course to be clear, concise and helpful with each unit being divided into specific relevant topics that were easy to understand and complete.

The assessment for the course was also thorough and the feedback received helpful. Each end of unit test helped to reinforce what was learned and the assignments did an excellent job of using all the information I had gained up until they were assigned. I found that the assignments made me feel more confident in what I was learning and helped prepare me for the actual job of teaching and making lesson plans.

Perhaps the only criticism to make is that there could have been more practice teaching in the course. While the 2 days of in-person teaching were helpful the amount of time in those two days actually spent practice teaching was minimal. Though this is a small issue as overall the course does a great deal to inform the student about how to run a classroom and what work teaching involved.

Overall I am very happy with my experience at the TEFL academy and I would recommend them to anyone seeking a TEFL qualification.

I’m delighted to have completed my TEFL course. Before I signed up I was nervous and had no idea what to expect, but as soon as I stepped into the classroom the instructor made me feel at ease. Well informative and very engaging, the 20 hours practical was brilliant and I can’t thank the instructor enough.

The 100 hours of online content was challenging, but so satisfying once the course has been completed. The website was easy to use and the information given was broken down nicely.

I never thought I would be able to achieve this course and what’s even better is that I have an interview for a position in Mexico, just 2 weeks after my completion date!!

I really believe that it was a very intensive course and will help me a lot in the future.

Each module was so different and required a lot of attention and dedication in order to pass it and move to the net one.

I enjoyed it and the end of course assesments were wuiteb difficult especially the second one as it required a lot of time involvement to make sure is right which made the course so much more interesting.

I would recommend it to anyone and specially with some of us working full time, the time flexibility to do it around work and still get it done within the time frame… I think it weas great.

I would say to everyone to Go for it !!!
