I really enjoyed the course. The online platform is simple and easy to use.

The support staff was really helpful and quick to reply. My personal highlight was the classes. I am really glad I picked the combined option and would recommend it to all prospective students. Luan was incredible!

I would recommend a TEFL Academy course to anyone interested in studying for a TEFL qualification.

The course is detailed and all content is clearly set out and explained.

I chose to study the course completely online and could fit it perfectly around my work and life.

Feedback and marks on assignments were in depth and really quickly given too!

After 30 years working in a customer service environment, including 20 years running bars, I decided I needed a change. I saw the TEFL course advertised when i moved to Spain and after selling my bar in July decided to give this a try. Thinking it may be too challenging for me, having left school a long time ago, I hoped for a pass with the minimum grades. However, I found the course extremely interesting and very easy to follow. The weekend in the classroom in Madrid helped clear up concerns over lesson planning and other issues. I am now looking forward to applying for jobs in Spain and maybe even further afield. Thank you so much TEFL Academy for giving me this opportunity to change my career!!

Over the last 3 months I completed the online 120 hour TEFL course as well as 20 hours class room training.

I believe The TEFL Academy do courses in lots of locations, but I did mine in Manchester. On arrival we were greeted by the tutor and straight away we were doing activities to get to know each other. This is really how the course continued, with lots of activities and teaching practice.

I completed the course and got my certificate on the last day, which was a big bonus for me, as I was discussing a job with an online teaching company I told them I was doing a course they were willing to wait 3 months for me to obtain my certificate which I managed to obtain 1 month into starting my job.

I will recommend this course to my friends and family as it opens a great deal of opportunities for you.

After looking for several TEFL courses, I found The Tefl Academy through google searches. The price is extremely affordable and, being in the US and with no time to attend classes, I figured that the online option was perfect for me.

I am not used to online courses (I usually abandon them in the middle because I become more and more bored) but this one kept challeging me over and over again – which is a good thing, as I finally completed it!

The content is very structured and engages you from simple and broad things to very specific topics. I am not a Native speaker (and my English is basically american) so phonetics and some vocabulary were very challeging for me.

As somebody who had already worked as an EFL teacher, I was already familiar with some terms, but it was very instructive and I learned a lot more. For example: I was used to sketch a lesson plan but not with that much details and it was extremely helpful as, from now on, I know how to do it and I have some material I can check on from time to time to remind me whatever I need.

I rated 4 stars in Job Placement because I am still organizing my CV and cover letter therefore I haven’t applied for any jobs yet. However, once I needed some more info about job placement and stuff related and they were very friendly and patient with, making me aware of places I would probably like or get adapted. So customer service is amazing – and they do not abandon you once you complete their course.

As I chose the online version of the course, I can’t rate them in ‘practice teaching’. And my ‘instructor competency’ I rated as the person who corrected my assignements and gave me a very detailed feedback – showing me the strenghts and weaknesses on my essays and lesson plans.

I loved this course and couldn’t recommend it more. I was able to continue working at my current job whilst training with TEFL and all they asked for was one weekend that I attend classes. The weekend was very well organised, the teacher professional and I got to meet some like-minded friends at the course.

The online aspect is very thorough and easy to use (I’m not very good with computers and I had no trouble). And once I had submitted the final assessments, the feedback and grades came within a few days.

Definitely worth doing this course – I now have a very useful qualification which I’m going to put to good use soon.

Ever since finishing my third year of teacher training, I’ve been looking at ways to take myself abroad with the profession. I immediately came across the 120 hour course with the TEFL Academy and signed up. As someone who has been through 3 years of training in England, I was already very familiar with the layout and content of teacher training courses and was interested to see how TEFL matched up. Needless to say, it exceeded the quality of all 3 years of my training to date. The course workbooks were challenging yet interesting (a very hard combination to master) and the end of module tests assess the knowledge you’ve acquired excellently. The assignments were difficult (I won’t lie), however ample advice on what to include and how to lay them out was provided. Grading and feedback was provided in a timely and detailed manner, something that I greatly appreciated.

On a slightly different note, the TEFL Academy also keep you informed on the status of your course via text. For someone who seldom checks their emails, this was invaluable!

My summary as an already qualified teacher is as follows: this course is expertly constructed and professionally run. The objectives set for you are challenging yet attainable. The support offered is exceptional, especially if you are new to teaching. All in all, an experience which I have throughly enjoyed. If only all other institutes could make learning this enjoyable.

As a language graduate, I love to travel and have a keen interest in langauge. When I finished my degree I decided to travel to France and teach english. I had never taught english before and therefore decided to do the TEFL course online. I thoroughly enjoyed it and now feel very well-equipped to teach grammar and the major skills due to the comprehensive online course. I am very glad I completed it, it is such a wonderful certificate to have which can be used at any time, anywhere! I would highly recommend the online course.

I always wanted to do an EFL course but never had the time to attend lessons. I have been teaching ICT since 2000 and wanted to have a better view of the language. This course has been an inspiration. It showed how well an online course can be organised. It opened my eyes to new theories of learning and exercises for young learners. The only thing I missed was an eye to eye contact with the teachers/moderators in a forum or website (at the end of the course or in the middle of the course). Sometimes, knowing your teacher or tutor can make your life change. I will always remember this superb and well organised course.

The TEFL Academy opened up the world to me. They provided me with excellent resources and support in completing my course. The course helped me prepare for an actual classroom with the practical teaching and all the necessary knowledge to design and implement my own lesson plans. I would definitely recommend it to anyone with wanderlust and a passion for people.
